The Chinese Connection

The Chinese Connection

In 1994 I was in China and met some incredible
doctors and healers. They were so in tuned to
people they could pick up what was going on with a
patients’ health problems, what traumas they had
throughout their life and even their emotional
problems and they did all of that just by reading
the pulse or scanning the body using Medical Qi
Gong.

The treatments and healing that I saw were
amazing and I was one of the fortunate ones to
learn some real secrets that are not usually
shared with outsiders.
Here is how my trip began: I had already finished
my formal studies of acupuncture and herbs and was
working double shifts at the clinic and South
Shore Hospital. We would see around 30 people a
day.
Dr. Fu was the head of our clinic, a brilliant
doctor who moved here from Harbin, China. We
became friends very quickly and spent days working
together in the clinic and usually met up a few
times a week for dinner or a drink.
He was newly married, but his wife was still in
China and wasn’t expected to move to the USA until
the end of the year.
When she arrived we went to pick her up at the
Miami International airport. She was a cute
Chinese girl that didn’t speak a word of English,
in fact this was her first trip outside of China.
For the next few months we spent a lot of time
together -going to dinners, visiting all the fun
things in Miami, like South Beach, the museums,
Parrot jungle and for sure the beach.

Before long they started a family. Dr. Fu was
working full time and hardly had a moment to
himself or his young wife. He called me and asked
if I could do a big favor for him. I said what
ever it is you can count on me. He said, “This is
a big one.” I thought he needed to borrow money or
something like that, but that wasn’t it.
He asked me if I would be willing to go to the
Lamaze birthing classes with his wife. At first I
thought he was kidding, but he wasn’t. I just told
him, “what ever it is you can count on me”, so I
couldn’t very well say no.

The following week I was off with a young pregnant
woman who hardly spoke a word of English to a
six-week birthing class.
Everyone in the class thought she was my wife and
why wouldn’t they? Who goes to birthing classes
but husbands and their wives?

It turned out to be a lot of fun for all of us.
It was getting close to her due date and her
parents flew into Miami to be with their daughter
just before the birth. I met the parents and her
father invited me to come to China to study with
him. He’s the head of the Heilongjiang University
and a very prominent doctor at the hospital. I
thanked him very much and said the next time I
come to China I’ll be sure to look him up. At that
time I had no intention of going to China.

It was a year later and I received another call
from Dr. Fu. He asked if I wanted to travel with
his wife and now their one-year-old son to China
and work with his family.

I was honored that he asked me and I agreed to go.
The trip was a long one. We left Miami at night
and arrived in California early in the morning and
after a few hours layover the three of us were on
an 11 hour flight. We arrived in Beijing, China
had dinner and went to sleep.

At 6 o’clock in the morning there was a loud knock
on my door. They arranged a tourist guide to show
me all the sites and I had to be ready in ½ hour.
Exhausted or not we were off to the Forbidden
City, the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven and The
Summer Palace.

There was so much I could hardly take it all in
and after an 18 hour trip I was ready for some
more sleep. The next morning I left for Harbin on
the train and didn’t arrive until the next day.
Harbin, China didn’t look anything like I
imagined. The architecture looked more like Russia
than China. I was assigned to the department of
the hospital that handled stroke patients. We saw
80 to 100 patients a day; it seemed like an
acupuncture factory. I had no idea that one could
see so many patients in a day but we did week
after week.

To keep myself in balance I was up every morning
at 5 and in the park practicing Flying Crane Qi
Gong. After a few months I told the Qi Master that
I missed doing my Qi Gong by the ocean. Hooked at
me with a puzzled look and said, “so practice
under a tree.”

This was a good lesson, images Join me and keep yourself healthy
and balanced

Do kids actually grow more in the summer?

Wednesday, May 8th, 2013
Share

I was talking to my buddy Matt the other day and
we both noticed that in the summer kids seem grow
more than any other time of the year, they seem to
be the same size all year long and over the summer
they sprout up a few inches over night.

Maybe it’s because they get more sleep and
relaxation. They don’t have the stresses of
school, studies, peer pressure or are forced to
have constant supervision by parents and teachers.

They get a lot more sleep, more play time and
relaxation without the stresses and pressures of
the school year.

We all need down-time in order to have our body
and mind function to its peak. I know if I am
stressed or if don’t get a good nights sleep, my
mind doesn’t function as well and if I am
overworked or overloaded by too many projects that
aren’t being completed, I just don’t function as
well.

Stress and sleep are big factors and can cause
major imbalances in the body, mind and even affect
our spirit. One of the major complaints I hear
from patients is they are stressed, filled with
anxiety and can’t get a good nights sleep.

images-3 is a common problem that takes a toll on
your energy, mood, health and ability to function
during the day. Chronic insomnia can even
contribute to serious health problems.

In order to properly treat and cure your insomnia,
you need to become an “Undercover Sleep
Investigator”. Emotional issues such as stress,
anxiety and depression cause half of all insomnia
cases but your daytime habits affect your sleep
routine, and physical health also plays a role.
Ask yourself these questions:

▪ Am I under a lot of stress?

▪ Do I feel depressed or feel emotional?

▪ Do I worry or feel anxious?

▪ Was there a traumatic experience that
wasn’t addressed?

▪ Are there any health problems that may
be interfering with sleep?

▪ Is your bedroom quiet and comfortable?

▪ Do you try to go to bed and get up
around the same time every day?

Following the rules can make a world of
difference in your sleeping patterns.

▪ Make your bedroom quiet, and dark.
Even those little lights on the phone
chargers and night lights can affect the brain and
disturb your sleep.

▪ Make a sleep schedule by going to sleep
at the same time every night. Our mind loves to be
on a scheduled pattern. Get up at your usual time
in the morning even if you’re tired. This will
help you get back in a regular sleep rhythm.

▪ Avoid stimulating activity and
stressful situations before bedtime. This includes
exercise, stressful discussions or arguments,
avoid TV, computer, and video games.

*Limit or avoid caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine. Stop
drinking caffeinated beverages if you want the
Sandman to visit you.

*Quit smoking or avoid it, nicotine is a
stimulant.

Some years ago I had a group of patients come into
my office with stress related problems. They all
knew better and knew how to eliminate the stress
but for some reason they were frozen in their
tracks.

They agreed to work with me one day a week for 6
weeks and learn and practice the meditations in
the ‘Turn Stress into Power book

http://rechargingqigong.com/turn-stress-into-power.html

Every one of them reported better sleep, more
energy during the day and were able to handle
their stress much better.

This isn’t unusual. I receive calls from people
from all over the world asking for my help as both
a coach and a doctor just to get a good night’s
sleep. I started teaching more and more people
these easy to learn techniques on how to use
stress to your advantage.

You can learn and practice these easy to learn
techniques and apply meditations and exercises to

Do You Know What You Are Being Fed?

take a lot of time and energy to
seek out the best foods to put into
my body and avoid things that could
potentially cause health problems.
The food industry is trying to hide
something Big from us.

There is a health risk in what
they are feeding us with the
so-called scientific advances in
the food industry. For sure they
are not health driven. Whether
genetically modified (GM) foods
are safe or harmful is still controversial.
I believe they are harmful and I do
everything I can to avoid foods that
are genetically modified.

Interestingly enough the large
commercial farms don’t want to
even label foods GMO.
Why?

We all know why.
People wouldn’t buy it. In
Europe foods have to be
labeled GMO, don’t you
wonder why the food industry
is trying to hide the truth from us?
I know that I want to know what is
in my food. Don’t you? We can
make an intelligent choice on what I
want to put in my body.

I generally
don’t take any sweeteners that have
corn syrup in them. I made that choice
just like I made a choice not to eat dairy
products. That was my choice.
That doesn’t mean that I don’t get
some corn syrup or dairy once in
awhile in my diet, but for the most
part I avoid it. I don’t think you
should be sucking on a cow’s
tit or eating sugar products in general.

Why do you think your food isn’t
being labeled to tell you what’s in
it? 85% of Americans want to
know if the food is being tampered with.
They say that now most foods we
eat may contain ingredients derived
from genetically modified organisms
(GMOs)–everything from baby food
to our dairy to even our meat. If you
live in Europe, avoiding GMO foods
is easier since laws require labeling.
However in the US and Canada food
manufacturers are not required to label
if their food is genetically modified or not.
Here are some of the foods to steer
clear of in your diet.

The worst of the bunch:

1. Soybeans
2. Corn – high fructose corn syrup and glucose/fructose
3. Canola oil
4. Sugar beets
5. Rice
6. Cotton- the seeds are pressed into cottonseed oil, you may know it as vegetable oil.
7. Dairy – the cows are fed GM grains and hay.
8. Aspartame
9. Papayas
10. Farm Raised Salmon

What can you do to protect
yourself and family?

•Grow an organic garden
(you can get seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds)
and other seed companies, look for seeds that are
organic and GMO free

•Buy foods labeled 100% organic.
But be aware just because something
says “organic” on it does not mean
that it does not contain GMs.

•Start eating and growing organic sprouts

•eat home more often and start avoiding
restaurants that are not organic

You may be saying Dr. Wu, I’d like to
eat organic but it’s too expensive!
True! In the short run organic is more
expensive , but there is no free lunch!
You will have to pay sooner or later and
paying with bad health isn’t any fun at all.
Start that sprout garden this week, avoid
junk food, clear up your diet and start a
detox program.

I like both the 7-day Core restore liver detox program

and the Detox kit

They both come with full
instructions and everything
you will need for a safe detox program.
They will help to keep you healthy
and disease free.

Are You Too Overwhelmed To Looking Younger?

Friday, March 2nd, 2012
Share

In my office, I get questions every day
from patients with all kinds of health problems:
Low energy, feeling bad, joints hurting, skin
looking older, it goes on and on.

I always give the best advice I can, but most of
all set a good example by practicing what I preach
and teach. Every day I work on myself, meditate,
and do exercises to keep my Qi flowing strong.
The downside is that it works so well, some of my
patients look at me and feel like there’s no hope for
them and that I’m too advanced or dedicated and
they can’t relate.

In fact, when you read my newsletter, you might feel
the same – like there’s no way you can practice
everything I do, and that I’m somehow special and different.

Believe me, that is not true.
Wait, actually I AM special and YOU are too!
What I mean is, the dedication I have is something
anyone can achieve as well if they want it enough.)

The truth is, I learned all of these techniques and
secrets over the years. I may look and feel young,
but I am a baby boomer so I’ve had plenty of time for studying.

When I first started, I focused on the few things which
would make the most difference. Only later on, when I
wanted to, did I add in more exercise, meditations,
and positive habits.

What I’m trying to say is: You can build a younger,
more energized, healthier body by starting with just one thing.

Just like one snowflake can start an avalanche, you can
cascade into the body you want.

So I understand you might feel overwhelmed, yet still
ready to take charge of your health, as long as you
know exactly what the first step to take is. Well, a man
I know was in the same position as you. In fact, he
used to be a total skeptic, and had tried all kinds of
methods to improve his health but didn’t stick with any
of them. Then he turned his health around with
just one exercise.
He made a video about it you can watch here:

http://images.ultracart.com/aff/51E07047AFDF6101358942ABD9051600/index.html

If you get started with the one secret my friend discovered,
you’ll be so far ahead of the game, just weeks from now
you’ll be getting comments on how much younger and
healthier you look.

What are the Three Biggest Energy Suckers?

Friday, October 14th, 2011
Share

I started water fast for a few days
to clear out all the cobwebs so to speak.

Fasting has many benefits:

*Overall health
*Detoxing the body
*The Opening of Spiritual centers.

A body full of toxic foods,
environmental poisons and toxic
thoughts, will eventually cause
health problems to your body, mind and spirit.

If your head is filled with evil thoughts,
this can transfer the evil influences on the body.
What affects the body, affects the mind
and vice versa. One of the best ways to
purify it is by fasting. This will allow you
to see things more clearly.
Let me explain how this works.

The Three Biggest Energy Drains in life:
– Sex
– Over Talking
– Digestion

When we fast we give our digestive
system rest and a chance to renew
our energy supply.

If you can limit your SPEECH
when you are on a fast– you can easily
open the SPIRITUAL centers and SEX is a no,
no! – at least for a few days,
we don’t want any energy leaks.
This will give you a lot more energy
and you will notice that you will have a
lot more free time when you are fasting.

I suggest a one day fast to start.
Here is how to do it:

After your last meal in the evening, drink
a glass of water and retire early.
When you wake up, first thing- have a glass
of pure room temperature water. You can add a half
of lemon if you wish. Use pure water
to flush and purify the system.
I drink 3 or 4 quarts a day when fasting and
sleep a minimum of 8 hours with a nap or
two during the day. I try to make my
fasting days on days that I don’t have to work
or have much interaction with people.
The less talking you do, the more energy you
will have.

While on the fast, spend some time in nature,
walking, or sitting near the water. It will quite
the mind and allow your head space to open
more. If you can’t get out in nature spend some
alone time.

No Mind Sucking TV!
If you are a reader, read only inspirational
books or go to an art museum and quietly
walk around. When I am fasting, I’ll listen
to soothing music, without words
-only instruments.

Fasting is a personal time and you are more
likely to be in a programmable state,
so guard your speech, as well as what you
listen too.

While fasting, we shed extra weight from
the body and gain strength and clarity of
the mind.

For those of you who have emotional, nervous and
sexual problems, there is no better way than
fasting to clear and cure those problems.
Your mind will become quiet.
Fasting, whether for physical well-being,
or a spiritual purpose, is a very scientific
way to clear the body and mind of stuck energy.

This is one of the best ways to get started on
a detox program.
After the day of fast, I
usually do a two week detox program.
I have received major success with the detox kit.
http://www.energymedicineflorida.com/detox-kit.html

and I take two Oxy-hydrate pills per night for the
two week detox program, this will insure you that your
colon is as clean as a whistle.

The Loss Son

Thursday, October 6th, 2011
Share

“A young widower, who loved his five year old
son very much, was away on business when bandits
came and burned down the whole village and took his
son away. When the man returned, he saw the ruins and
panicked. He took the burnt corpse of an infant and cried
uncontrollably. He organized a cremation ceremony,
collected the ashes and put them in a beautiful little bag
that he always kept with him.

Soon afterwards, his real son escaped from the bandits
and found his way home. He arrived at his father’s new
cottage at midnight and knocked at the door.

The father, still grieving asked: “Who is it?”
The child answered, it is me Papa, open the door!”
But in his agitated state of mind, convinced his son
was dead, the father thought that some young boy was
making fun of him. He shouted: “Go away” and
continued to cry. After some time, the child left.
Father and son never saw each other again.

After this story, the Buddha said, “Sometime,
somewhere, you take something to be the truth.
If you cling to it so much, even when the truth comes
in person and knocks on your door, you will not open it.”
I gave a lecture last week to a group of people at the gym;
most of them work out 5 days a week and look good on the
outside, but are starting to get health problems like heartburn,
aches, diabetes and sexual dysfunctions.

I explained the longevity benefits of doing Qi Gong to
them, and how it would balance out their workout,
improve their sexual power health, and slow down the
aging process.

Arthur stood up and said,” I don’t get it? I workout
everyday at the gym, run 4 miles a day 5 days a week
and do 10 miles on the weekend, I eat well and I feel great!
What will Qi gong do for me– I am in great shape?”

Well Artthur, I did the same program for years
with my friend Gary. He was my workout partner
and never learned the internal arts of Qi Gong or
meditation. He said it was too slow for him and he
needs the adrenal rush of a heavy workout.
Gary wishes he had followed my example and
learned the softer style of Qi Gong years ago.
Although the physical workout of running and
weight training is good you need a balance.

There is an old Taoist saying:
“If you do External Exercises, you need to do
Internal Exercises, but if you do Internal Exercises
you don’t have to do External Exercises.”

When we only do sports, aerobic and weight training,
we create too much heat in our bodies and overheat
the internal organs. After awhile, the organs start to
dry out and later feel like a plum that was left in the
sun for weeks– it turns into a prune!
The same thing happens to us with constant overheating
and aging, you can see it on a person’s face –the wrinkles
are the pruning effect. You can delay the aging process and
re-dehydrate the organs by doing Qi Gong.

I told Arthur it’s time to get on a program because the
universe is knocking on your door. I know he heard
what I said and acted on it.
He placed an order for both Flying Crane Qi Gong
and the Recharging Qi Gong program that night.
