We were at the beach every day and we just got

New Addition to the Clinic

Killing Cancer Cells

I usually don’t tell you much about my treatments
or what I am up to at the office, Whole Life
Health and Wellness Center. But just recently, I
added two great new treatments that no one has in
Florida. One of the newest pieces of equipment
available in my clinic is called “The Indiba” that
comes from Europe where it is used in most health
facilities as an aid to cancer treatments. There
are two incredible applications that this advanced
technology offers: one, it is for cancer patients
and, the other, for anti-aging and beauty. This
magnificent machine uses a special frequency of
electronic energy to stimulate and warm tissue.

The Indiba is a Hyperthermia Therapy

Hyperthermia is a type of treatment in which body

hyperthermia treatment (heat applied to a very
small area, such as a tumor) is a well-established

Through the Indiba method, energy from a
radio frequency current is directed towards the
depth of tissues between the electrodes. In
contrast with heating obtained via external heat
sources, it avoids the need to go through the skin
barrier and wasting a large proportion of the
generated energy. The treatment can be used on
eyes, varicose veins, scalp, and other sensitive
areas which can be successfully treated.
Vasodilatation is induced resulting in improved
blood circulation. The patient does not experience
the unpleasant sensation of being treated with an
electric current and, consequently, there is
normally a high patient tolerance of the
treatment. Moreover, there are no known side

Chances are you are toxic. We all are exposed to
a multitude of toxins daily, and we would never
dream that the government isn’t protecting us from
toxins in our food, the air we breathe, and the
water we drink and bathe in.

It sucks, but it’s true with big corporations
paying lobbyists big dollars, and they can push
just about anything through the government. But,
don’t give up hope. I can remember when the
tobacco companies were all over the media, and you
would see the Marlboro man in just about every
magazine. He’s no longer with us. The Marlboro man
got lung cancer and fell off his horse years ago.
“Lucky Strike” struck out and “Kool Menthol” just
ain’t cool anymore. There seems to be some really
strange stiff going on with the Big Pharma, and we
aren’t paying enough attention to change it as
yet. The USA is the only country in the world that
lets them advertise on TV, and I hear that their
sales went up 1000% since they have been doing
this. It doesn’t serve the public or the doctors,
only the drug companies. Hopefully soon, they will
go the same way as the cigarette.

One of the secretaries in the office asked if she
could ask me a question about her mother who has
breast cancer. “Of course, what is it?” She asked
if acupuncture would help to relieve some of the
queasy feelings from taking Toxic. “Yes! I
had great success with hundreds of patients with
no side effects. Also, some of the Chinese herbal
formulas will help get rid of that nauseous
feeling.”

She told me that her mother has been drinking diet
soda for years on end. That’s a big NO-NO! If she
wants a fighting chance, there should be NO soda,
NO coffee, and NO sugar. I’d even stop eating any
food that isn’t organic. We all need to take

How do you See Yourself? Fit or Fat?

It’s interesting to me how people see themselves.
Some see themselves as winners while others as
losers; some as gorges and others homely.

Many years ago, I was dating a woman with a great
figure and she always saw herself as fat. She
exercised excessively, ate a very restrictive
diet, and took diet pills daily like they were
vitamins. She had it in her head that she was fat
and was freaked out if she put on even ½ a pound.
In her head, she was fat.

How do you see yourself? Happy, sad, talented, fat
or fit, however you see yourself, that’s how you
are or will become.

Just last week, I was traveling with a friend who
is extremely talented, sexy and a
mover-and-shaker. She has a great personality and
is very quick-witted. She’s well-traveled,
educated and holds an executive position where
everybody loves her. You would think that she
would be as happy as a lark. But, as George
Gershwin, the great composer, wrote years ago, “It
ain’t necessarily so!” That’s not how she sees
herself at all. She was telling me that she sees
herself as masculine, blunt and definitely not
sexy at all. Her choices in relationships seem to
be a rocky one for her. She was sharing her tale
of romance with me. “I seem to have some bad
karma, or maybe, I was born under a dark star. I
either find womanizers who have a ton of rules for
me and none for themselves, or guys that are so
hung up with what they should do or not do that
they aren’t able to function without questioning
themselves and any one that they are involved
with.”

We all have these traits or ego fixations. The
Tibetan Wheel of Life has a very interesting map
that explains the different personalities, or as
they refer to them, “Ego Fixations”. Take the
womanizer guy. He feels he is always right. He
likes to order others around and will start a
fight at the drop of a hat. In the Wheel of Life,
he would be caught up in the Titian realm. He is a
warrior and wants to fight with everyone, jealous,
possessive and controlling. Meanwhile, her other
friend falls in the Human realm. He’s the type of
guy that needs to be proper in everything he does.
He analyzes everything and everyone. He needs to
see tangible proof for everything and will
question whomever he’s with about all they do and
say. This is the Human realm.

There are four other ego fixations bringing to a
total of six. We all have them keeping us stuck on
this wheel. Go around and around from one emotion
to another. Sometimes, we are the gods and, the
next moment, we are living in hell.

But, there is a way to free yourself from the
eternal roundabout. Want to find out how? I am

Ritual Detox

Last Wednesday at sunset was the beginning of the
Jewish New Year “Rosh Hashanah” (it literally it
means “head of the year”) This day is believed to
be the anniversary of the creation of Adam and
Eve. Traditionally eating apples dipped in honey
to evoke a “sweet new year”.

This holiday coincides with the fall harvest in
the northern hemisphere. It’s a time to be thankful
for who we are, what we have, and the people in our
lives. Whenever we have a seasonal change no
matter if its summer, winter, spring or fall our
internal clock needs to be reset. One of the
ways I like to do that is by doing a ritual fast
from all food for two or three days. Fasting is
one of the keys to internal purification.

We are exposed to chemicals in the air and water
daily and as times goes buy our body accumulates
more and more toxins. All those inorganic
chemicals must be passed out of your body or they
can cause great damage to your health and
wellbeing. I have found over the years a short
fast will give your digestive system a rest and
help to detox you from all those unhealthy foods
that you ingest and help to clear out those
chemicals that you have been exposed to. By
fasting we give our bodies a physiological rest as
well. This rest builds Qi and the more Qi we have,
the more toxins are going to be eliminated from
the body to help keep it clean, pure, and healthy.
If you can imagine for a moment that you have a
garbage can in your backyard, everyday you throw
more and more garbage into the can; eventually it
will fill up and you will attract bugs and
rodents. You may poison the air around to
eliminate the pests, but eventually they will come
back. It is the same when you take antibiotics.
You are covering up the problem and not
eliminating it. If you want to eliminate the
pests, you have to clean up the garbage. In our
bodies we have to detox to eliminate the toxins
and therefore we can eliminate the disease.
Exercise is also very important in keeping the
energies of the body following smoothly. The

Don’t be Spooked if you get a Bellyache on Holloween

Tomorrow night is Halloween night. They say that
Halloween is a pagan holiday dating back to some
pre-Christian festival among the Celtic Druids
that escaped Church suppression.

Don’t believe that for a second. Halloween falls
on the last day of October. The Feast of All
Saints or “All Hallows” falls on Nov 1st. The day
before was the feast’s evening “All Hallows Even”
or “Halloween.” In those days, Halloween didn’t
have any special significance for Christians or
for Celtic pagans.

It became customary to bang pots and pans on All
Hallows night to let the damned know they were not
forgotten.
Our traditions on this holiday are around dressing
up in fanciful costumes, the church has more
Masses on All Souls’ Day, and artistic
representations were devised to remind everyone of
their own mortality.

As every kid knows Halloween is all about getting
as much candy and goodies as you can and bring
bags of sugar home to indulge for a few wee ks.
It’s all about fun, excitement and little devilish
pranks. It’s one of my favorite holidays! Kids are
all over the streets dressed up as ghost’s,
goblins and spooks. But after all the fun is over
it’s really a good idea to clean up your diet and
do a 2-week detox. This may not be so easy for
your kids but if they have a bellyache you can do
a great soothing treatment that I have done on my
kids whenever they are overloaded with sugar.

The fall Equinox is September 22nd and it’s the
time that we change seasons again. It is one of
the 4 best weeks of the year to detox your body.

The Autumnal Equinox signals the end of the summer
months and the beginning of fall. It’s the point
where nights reach the same length as days. After
this point, the Sun will shine lower and lower on
the horizon until the Winter Solstice in about
three months’ time.

The weather is cooler even in Florida, now is the
time to harvest the bounty that grew during the
summer so we can store up for the cold winter
ahead.

It is a time to organize, work hard, and finish
projects that you began in spring and summer.
In Ancient China, physicians observed the natural

our energy with that of our environment.

Fall is the season associated with grief and
sadness. It is important to keep the mind clear
and “let go” of negative emotions that impact our

Summer is here! Tips on how to stay healthy this summer

July is here and it’s hot! The sun rays can be a
real bother if you are not careful. Here are a few
tips to keep you from burning up and keeping your
skin cancer free and enjoy your summer fun worry
free.

Eight tips on how to protect yourself from the sun!

1) Use a natural sunscreen: Studies show that
chemical sunscreens could increase risk of cancer!

Avoid nanomaterials and potential hormone
disrupters.

“The ideal sunscreen would completely block the UV
rays that cause sunburn, immune suppression and
damaging free radicals. It would remain effective
on the skin for several hours and not form harmful
ingredients when degraded by UV light. It would
smell and feel pleasant so that people use it in
the right amount and frequency.

Unsurprisingly, there is currently no sunscreen
that satisfies all these criteria. The major
choice in the U.S. is between “chemical”
sunscreens, which have inferior stability,
penetrate the skin and may disrupt the body’s
hormone systems, and “mineral” sunscreens (zinc
and titanium), which often contain micronized- or
Nano scale particles of those minerals.

After reviewing the evidence, EWG determined that
mineral sunscreens have the best safety profile of
today’s choices. They are stable in sunlight and
do not appear to penetrate the skin. They offer
UVA protection, which is sorely lacking in most of
today’s sunscreen products. Mexoryl SX (ecamsule)
is another good option, but it’s available in very
few formulations. Tinosorb S and M could be great
solutions but are not yet available in the United
States. For consumers who don’t like mineral
products, we recommend sunscreens with avobenzone

(3 percent for the best Unknown) and
without the notorious hormone disrupter
oxybenzone. Scientists have urged parents to avoid
using oxybenzone on children due to penetration
and toxicity concerns

2) Carotenoids: Eat green, red and orange
vegetables- they contain beta-caratone and
lycopene that work as an internal sunscreen.
Carotenoids are antioxidants which reduce the
negative effects of UVB radiation. Green leafy
vegetables are rich in xanthophylls (oxygenated
carotenoid compounds) that are amazing for skin
protection. Carotenoid pigments are used by plants
as sunscreen and can activate melanin. Foods
containing high concentrations of carotenes are:
apricots, papaya, mango, carrots, sweet potatoes
and beets.

3) Vitamins E & C: Both have been shown in
studies to work as a preventive measure against
sunburn because the vitamins act as antioxidants
to heal sunburn that is a result of oxidative
damage to skin cells. Goji Berries are an amazing
source of carotenoids and have good amounts of
vitamin C. Nuts and seeds like walnut and hemp
seed are a good source of vitamin E


4) Tea: If you experience a sunburn- soak in a
strong solution of tea. The tannins help the skin
recover and reduces pain. Drinking tea is also
beneficial for skin due to it’s rich source of
polyphenols that offer unrivalled protection
against free radical exposure which is responsible
for 80% of skin One study shows drinking two or
more cups of either black or green tea reduces the
risk of developing squamous cell skin cancer by
30%. There is a contra-indication if you suffer
from thyroid issues as the fluoride content of tea
can suppress thyroid function.

5) Honey: Honey is antibacterial and multiple
studies have shown that honey can help to heal
wounds. Because of this, applying honey to a
sunburn could help the skin re-epithelize (grow
new epithelial skin cells). Manuka honey in
particular because of its antibacterial and
anti-inflammatory properties.

6) Cell food: If Skin Cancer is already a concern
for you, you may want to consider a topical
application of a product called Cell foodmixed
with Manuka Honey. The Cellfood formula contains
78 minerals, 34 enzymes, and 17 amino acids. It
utilizes a proprietary water-splitting technology
that provides a powerful stream of bio-available
oxygen plus 129 nutrients directly to the cells.
Mix ¼ tsp of Manuka Honey with one drop of cell
food and apply before bed. It may look worse
before it improves.

7) Aloe Vera: A study of the Aloe Vera plant has
shown to heal a burn 1/3 faster! “There are
factors in aloe that help the cells regenerate,
keep an aloe plant in your home. Or simply
purchase a leaf or two from the market and break
it open when needed. The whole plant is stronger
than a commercial made gel so it is worthwhile
keeping a plant close by.”

8) The final word: NOTHING beats wearing light
cotton clothing and a wide brimmed hat.

How to increase your Qi to go deeper in your meditations

Detox It was a great weekend!
I am on the “Core Restore liver cleanses”, a 7-day
program to clean out toxins out of my body.

Although the first two days were a little rough
and I needed to get a lot more sleep, I feel good
and now my energy level is way up! My head is
clear, I dropped more than 5 pounds and my
meditations are much deeper.

Every morning long before the sun comes
I walk down to the ocean and begin my
Qi Gong practices.
It’s usually still dark and very quite
it’s the best time to train and your meditations
will be much stronger.
My focus this week has been slow moving Yin
exercises, like the Yin Set

When you are around large bodies of water you can relax deeper
and it’s much easier to open up your spiritual centers

down. This will keep your body relaxed, your mind
calm and keep you rooted.

I am sure that we all want to go deeper in our

How the Summer Solstice will affect your internal Energy

The summer solstice is almost upon us again. It is
the longest day and shortest night of the year,
from the moment of the start of Summer Solstice,
on June 21st. The Sun immediately begins to wane
and the days will get shorter. In the Five
element system we are moving into the images,
which rules the heart, pericardium, triple heater
and small intestine.

A TIME THAT YOU WANT TO STAY COOL.
In both body and mind.

I like a refreshing and tasty drink. I take cold
fresh Mint mixed with lemon juice, ice and a
little maple syrup as sweetener. It will help to
cool you down as things continue to heat up for
the next 3 months.

The formula:
¼ cup of washed fresh mint leaves
4 to 6 organic lemons
2 Quarts of filtered water
Maple syrup to taste

Squeeze the lemons, add juice to the water and
maple syrup, add ice and put in a blender with the
mint leaves and blend on high until smooth.

Midsummer has been one of the important solar
events throughout the evolution of humankind. It
was an indicator that the year was about to begin
waning, thus winter would be again returning. The
sun appeared to stand still in its northern
progression on the 21st

Whenever there is a change in the seasons and
especially on the winter and summer solstice it is
an opportunity to reset our internal clocks. It is
an excellent time to take a break from your usual
pace and allow oneself some quite time to reflect,
meditate or just relax.

Eat very light at these important junctions,
as it will help you move into the new system smoothly.

The Summer Solstice is the time to recharge your
spirit, building your personal power and fortify
your health.
