More Grateful than Ever

Baby, it’s cold outside! The wind is blowing and
the snow is snowing! I feel like I am being slowly
cryogenically preserved, just like baseball star
Ted Williams and many others who chose to be
frozen. It’s just that I am still alive.

I am visiting my family in Michigan again. They
are a hardy lot of Northerners who are strong and
adventuresome. Living in the North takes a
lot more preparation than my home
in Florida. Every crack in the house must be
sealed up tight to stop old man winter from
blowing cold chill through every bone in
your body. The heating system has to be in
great working condition and lots of clothing
needed to endure the winter cold. I put on
my long underwear, boots, hats, gloves and a scarf
around my neck as soon as I get off the plane. I
think my blood has thinned out too much on my
sub-tropical diet.

You have to prepare to stay healthy no
matter if you are in the cold winter or in the Sun
belt. I am here for one reason and one reason
along. It’s Thanksgiving! Being with family and
friends over the holidays is a very special time,
a time to be grateful for everything and everyone
in your life. People are quite friendly in
Michigan. They always say hello even to strangers
and, if you ever get stuck in the snow, there is
always someone that will stop and offer to pull
you out. You have to be friendly in the North for
you never know if you’ll need some help. I think
it goes back to the time when food was very scarce
and you never knew if you were going to be able to
feed your family through the cold winter. So,
people stayed in touch with their family and their
neighbors to make sure the entire community
survived. One never knew when you would need a
helping hand before spring came again.

Here is one of Aesop’s fables translated by Laura
Gibbs:

Winter made fun of Spring and mocked her for the
fact that as soon as Spring appears, nobody can
keep still: some people go off to the meadows or
into the woods, others like to gather flowers and
lilies, or perhaps to gaze upon a rose as they
twirl it in the air or to twine it in their hair,
while some board ships and even cross the sea to
meet different kinds of people. No one worries any
longer about the winds or the great downpours of
rain from the sky.

‘Whereas I resemble a dictator or a despot,’ said
Winter. ‘I command everyone to look not at the sky
but down toward the ground. I frighten them and
make them tremble and sometimes I make them
content themselves while having to stay indoors
all day.’

Spring replied, ‘Indeed, that is exactly why
mankind would be glad to get rid of you, whereas
even the mere mention of my name is enough to
bring them pleasure. By Zeus, there is no name
more pleasant than mine! That is why, they think
fondly of me when I am gone and give thanks when I
appear again.

As winter gets stronger and stronger for the next
three months, it’s a good time to get more sleep,
increase your meditation, read, write and
internalize, and conserve your energies. I will be
practicing slow-moving Qi Gong forms like the
Flying Crane Qi Gong
http://rechargingqigong.com/flying-crane-qi-gong.html
and be putting more attention on my internal
practices of Nei Gong and Shen Gong. Winter is
also an important time to watch your diet, take
vitamins and stay in the right headspace. I
make sure that I get a massage, a
chiropractic adjustment or an acupuncture
treatment at least every other week during the
winter months. I increase my internal
exercises. I get a lot more sleep and eat
warmer foods like stir-fried vegetables, more
soups and less cold foods like salads, and I stay
away from cold drinks all winter.

Sometimes, we need encouragement to stay on
a program and not junk out for the holidays.
You can do it yourself but if you have a
coach, that can keep you on track mentally,
physically, emotionally and spiritually. It is
worth its weight in gold.
I belong to a few groups and get coached on my
business, my health, and even my diet.
The people who belong to
my coaching group are members of the Qi Gong

The Magic of 12, 12, 12

I want to thank all of you for wishing me a happy
birthday!
This birthday was really special as the numbers
were 12-12-12
A very auspicious number in numerology and they
say that it’s one of the port wholes of energy.

I was directed to be in the “Big EZ’ New Orleans
and let me tell you how much fun I had!
It wad awesome!
New Orleans is known for its food, music and
culture and I took advantage of all three.
Although when I got there Thursday night I ate at
a great Gumbo restaurant and it was delicious! I
started my birthday out by waking early in the
morning and being thankful for everything in my
life and of course that includes all of you.

I was up early and did my Qi Gong Training long
before the city woke up and then I was off to a
great restaurant for breakfast and to walk around
the French Quarter and enjoy the beautiful
architecture, music and art.

I talked to as many people as I could and I even
had a chance to work on somebody who had a stiff
neck, so on my birthday I made sure that I did
everything that I want in the coming year. They
say that every 2 hours of the day of your birthday
will represent a month in the coming year.

I ate good food
I trained
I worked on people
I shared my energy
Saw beautiful artwork
Listened to great music
Meditated
And I took in the real meaning of life – peoples’
joys, peoples’ pain and suffering and their
prayers.

I made my special birthday a birthday of gratitude
and thankfulness.
I told you in my last letter that this year is
going to be focused on 2 things and health is #1!

I’ll be sharing more information than ever before
on internal work, meditation, vitality and
longevity practices with the members of the Qi
Gong Inner Circle

Why is Black Friday black?

Monday, November 26th, 2012

No one really knows why black Friday is black.
Maybe it’s because all of the stores open early
before the sun comes up and close after the sun
goes down and the days are getting shorter. Soon
it will be the winter solstice, December 21st, the
shortest day of the year, so there will be a lot
more blackness. Nobody really consulted me about
the name, the day after Thanksgiving but if they
did I would call it, ‘THE THANKFUL SALE!’

I would
make this the season all about thankfulness!

I am so thankful for all of YOU!
For reading my blogs, for watching Dr. Wu Dhi’s
YouTube station and for all of your wonderful

How to stay Slim during the Holidays!

How to stay Slim during the Holidays!

I was sure that the Thanksgiving holiday was going
to be an incredible amount of fun! Seeing family,
eating, and relaxing… then the reality hit,
everybody wanted to add their 2 cents: “Who’s
gonna make the turkey? I don’t like this cranberry
sauce, I like that cranberry sauce! I don’t like
this can of sweet potatoes or pumpkin pie; I want
an apple pie and a pecan pie!

I thought my relatives have totally flipped out on
this day of thankfulness, but it’s in the
collective consciousness… everyone that I’ve
talked to seems to have the same issue. Turkey
wars, pumpkin pie with whipped cream or not, it
seems like everybody forgot to be thankful and
it’s all about the food. It’s incredible! I heard
this from my patients, my secretary and my
friends! Everybody is going through family stress,
and it’s supposed to be a holiday of being
thankful.
Hasn’t anybody figured that out yet?!
We’re supposed to be thankful that we even have a
turkey to eat, or a piece of pumpkin pie, but no…
it’s seems like it’s going to be the Great
American Eat again!

Sounds a little negative doesn’t it? A little bit
of darkness, let’s see how we can shine a light on
this and bring back the joy of the holiday season
where we can be grateful, thankful and loving to
each other – where we can open up our hearts.

We have to look at food as an energy source for
the human body, the process of breaking down food
and converting it into a form that we can absorb
into our system. To ensure your body properly
digests and absorbs the needed nutrients found in
the foods we eat, one must keep the digestive
system healthy and clean. By following a
well-balanced diet, eating a small meal regularly,
reducing the amount of refined fats and refined
sugars, and drinking plenty of fluids between
meals, one can keep their digestive system on
track.

Now we all know, during the holiday season, we all
like to eat and drink and we are definitely going
to be fasting or cutting down on what we eat at
this time of the year! But don’t worry, there is
still hope! The key is exercise.

Here are some simple steps to follow:

1.After ever meal go for a walk at least 100
steps. This will get your digestive juices moving
and help to curve some of those extra calories.

2. Have a cup of mint tea. It helps the digestive
system and settles the stomach.

3.Have a glass of water before the BIG EAT. This
will fill you up a little and you won’t over stuff
yourself like we are doing to the turkey.

4.Believe it or not, a cup of coffee without
sweetener is great to have in the morning. It
speeds up your metabolism and helps you lose
weight.

5. Fiber! You want fiber in your diet to make sure
that everything is moving properly.

6. Laughter!! This is one of the keys to
longevity. It gets all of your organs moving,
especially your abdominal muscles, gets your heart
pumping and it allows your digestive system to
work more efficiently.

The exercise that I focus on when I have so much
to do and there are so many family obligations and
my time is limited, I ALWAYS to the Yin set. It
increases the flow of Qi in the body. The lungs,
heart, kidneys, spleen, liver – these are the 5
Yin organs. When you do the Yin set, it activates
all of the 5 Yin organs which activate the 5 Yang
organs. They’re easy to do, they are fun and you
can have your whole family do them!

You can download them right on your computer:

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Thankfulness

Wednesday, November 21st, 2012

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a day to be thankful for
everything in your life. Although we think of this
holiday as a time to eat and shop, there is a much
deeper meaning. It is being thankful for what you
have in your life which includes your family,
career, health and your friends. It is a time to
rejoice and really look around and see all of the
good things that you have and acknowledge
everything that you have. Whatever we are focused
on the most is what we have in our life.

If your focus is sadness and grief or worry and
blame, that’s what you will get more of, and if
your focus is all of the wonderful places and
people you have met along the path, everything
that has made you into the person that you are
today and you acknowledge all of the lessons that
you had are all part of your growth. In the East,
they call it Karma. We are all on this planet so
that we can learn and grow; we all have lessons to
learn for our growth. So, this Thanksgiving, be
thankful for everything that you have and allow
your heart to open more.

From my heart, I wish all of you the best. I am so
thankful that I am able to share this valuable
information with you.

I wish you the best in your Health, Wealth and

Opening up your Spiritual Channels

Friday, July 20th, 2012

Opening our spirit

Over one billion people throughout the world will
be fasting in honor of the special month of
Ramadan this Friday the 20th of July. It is a time
for inner reflection, devotion to God, and
self-control. A spiritual tune up.

They say the fasting has many special benefits:
*Learning self-control
* A means of coming closer to the Creator
* Beneficial to health and provides a break in the
cycle of rigid habits or overindulgence

Ramadan is a time of worship, giving charity,
purifying one’s behavior, and doing good deeds—
Learning thankfulness and appreciation for all of
God’s bounties.

According to the ninth month of the Islamic
calendar, the month is based on a combination of
physical sightings of the moon and astronomical
calculations. The new moon begins on Thursday,
July 19th and the holiday begins on Friday for 30
days.

The last ten days of Ramadan are a time of special
spiritual power as everyone tries to come closer
to God through devotions and good deeds.
Generally, the 27th night of the month is the most
powerful. It is said that this night is better
than a thousand months. Therefore many spend the
entire night in prayer.

When one stops their normal activities to be
grateful and become closer to their Creator it
doesn’t matter what religion or spiritual practice
they were schooled in, the devotion and ritual
will open up the spiritual channels and help to
make you a more in tuned person. I teach these
principles to the members of the Qi Gong Inner
Circle.

The disciplines that we learn and practice can and
will make your life better on all levels.
We all have a chance to grow beyond ourselves but
it takes a teacher and education to know the best
and quickest path. One could spend a lifetime
seeking and never find the right path of growth. I
have spent the last 35 years studying and learning
from masters in the eastern systems of longevity
and spiritual openness.

These are the teachings and lessons I share with
the members of the Inner Circle.
This is a great month to start as over a billion
people all over our planet are practicing to be
more spiritually in-tuned.
Don’t just effort at opening.
Open yourself to a lifetime of internal
development!
