Smoking is hateful to the nose, harmful to the brain, and dangerous to the lungs

Carla turns three years old this November, a
pretty little girl with smiles from ear to ear.
Unfortunately for her, both of her grandparents
smoke 2 to 3 packages of cigarettes a day! They
don’t smoke in front of the little girl though,
her mother told me they are closet smokers.

You’d wonder what they are thinking or if they are
thinking at all. It’s all over the news, on TV
even the shock jocks are telling how dangerous
smoking is for us and the second hand smoke is
just as bad.

What’s wrong with smoking?
-It robs your body of oxygen
-It prevents your immune system from repairing it
self
-It kills the taste buds
-Can leave your appetite in Shambles
-Impairs digestion
-Can Open you up to a host of Cancers

Timages What makes
tobacco harmful are the chemicals and toxins used
in the manufacturing of cigarettes, even the paper
has been found to be carcinogenic. The toxins from
smoking gets stored in fat tissue that we have and
when combined with a high fat diet you are
building a time bomb inside your body.

I see at least a dozen patients a week for the
acupuncture to stop smoking program and it works
75% to 80% of the time. If the person really wants
to stop it works 98% of the time. Hopefully the
grandparents will wake up and get to smell the
roses before it’s too late.

But this isn’t what I wanted to talk to you about
today. I want to tell you a little more about
Carla. She spends a lot of time with her grand
parents and even though they trying to curb the
smoking around her she gets enough second hand
smoke that the little girl developed a cough and
no matter what her mother did she couldn’t shake
it loose.

The mother took her to the pediatrician and Carla
was diagnosed with the croup. (Croup is a
condition that causes an inflammation of the upper
airways — the voice box and windpipe it often
leads to a barking cough or hoarseness.) Of
course the entire family was concerned and
followed the doctor’s advice to the letter.
We all bend over backwards when it comes to the
health of our children.

Here is the scary part:
They picked up the medicine and followed the
instructions -take 15cc, 3 times a day, just like
it says on the label. The child was rushed to the
hospital for a drug over dose. The instructions on
the bottle were wrong, just about dead wrong.
The correct dosage was 5 cc 3 times a day. Lucky
for everyone the child is recovering. The
pharmacist wrote down the wrong instructions. This
happens more times than you would ever image.
That’s why I prefer the alternative healthcare to
western medicine, homeopathic medicine, eating the
right foods for your health and doing internal
exercises to strengthen your organs.
Yes that includes your sexual organs as well. Join

Carla recovered and is back to smiling from ear

The rage in Hollywood is Cupping.
….And the movie stars are looking like an octopus
kissed them.
Cupping is one of the oldest methods of healing
used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

The earliest recorded use of cupping dates to the
early fourth century; one textbook included an
entire chapter on “Fire Jar Qi,” a type of cupping
that could alleviate headaches, dizziness and
abdominal pain.

Originally, practitioners would use hollowed-out
animal horns for cups, and place them over
particular points or meridians. When I lived in
Maui I went to see a healer who only used the
horn, a single edge razor blade and a candle to
create the suction needed for the treatment.

I have been using a hand pump to pull out all the air
inside the cup to create the vacuum instead of fire.

Some years ago my mother had a bad backache and
although she wasn’t really sure about all this new
Chinese work that I learned but she let me try cupping
on her. Any way I was a little nervous myself as
at that time I learned the technique but didn’t
have much practice.
I got everything ready, the cups, a candle, some
alcohol and a lighter. I did everything that I
learned, but I didn’t realize that the cups got
hot, so when I placed them on my mom’s back she
yelled, “You burnt me, you burnt your own mother”.

The next day I bought the cups with the suction
bump and eliminated fire once and for all.
The vacuum created by the lack of oxygen anchors
the cup to the skin and pulls it upward on the
inside of the glass, as the air inside the jar is
gone. Drawing up the skin is believed to open up
the skin’s pores, which helps to stimulate the
flow of blood, balances and realigns the flow of
Qi, breaks up obstructions, and creates an avenue
for toxins to be drawn out of the body.
The cups are usually left on the skin for about 5
to 10 minutes. Several cups may be placed on a
patient’s body at the same time. Sometimes I will
put some oil or medicine on the skin so I can move
the cups around to loosen up things and bring more
energy to the body.

Cupping is used to treat respiratory conditions
such as bronchitis, asthma, and congestion;
arthritis; gastrointestinal disorders; and certain
types of pain. I have also use cupping
to treat depression and reduce swelling.

Cupping is safe, if you don’t burn your
mother by mistake, it can cause some swelling and
bruising on the skin but thats normal. The spots are gone in a few days.
The skin under a cup is drawn up, the blood vessels at the surface of the
skin expand. thats why why we get circular
bruises on the areas where the cups were applied.
These bruises are painless and are a good topic of conversation

Cupping is becoming very popular these days. Stars
like Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Paris
Hilton, David Arquette, Lady Gaga and Andy Murray
they all have one thing in common – circular marks
on their back that looks an octopus was sucking on
them. Even Jennifer Aniston was seen with some
circular marks on the red carpet.

I use cupping in my office just about every day to
treat colds, coughs, asthma, back pain and pain
with great success. If you come into my office be
sure to ask for a cupping treatment along with
your acupuncture treatment.
I wish you the best in your Health, Wealth and
Happiness

Detoxify for the Fall season!

I have a good friend who has been involved in
the military for years. He fought in the Korean War
when Douglas MacArthurthe was the president.
He actually did battle on the
front line to defend our country and has the
battle scars to prove it.

He has been retired from active duty for years now
and seldom talks about his war experiences, but
whenever he does he says it was heavy.

He has been seeing a doctor at the Veterans
administration (VA ) for his health care and up
until the last year everything has been OK– just
the usual aches and pains but nothing else.
But as time goes on unless you are actively
involved in keeping your body, mind and spirit in
tip top shape systems can fail.

Last week he went to the VA for a problem that he
was having with his digestive system, the dreaded
constipation syndrome that led to a painful
hemorrhoid.
It seems that he wasn’t moving his bowls for 4 or
5 days in a roll. You can imagine
the toxins that back-up, ferment and rot when
there is no release. It affects the liver and
causes problems with the kidneys and even the
brain is effected.
In his
unfocused state he plowed into a can in the
parking lot of the VA. He not only totaled his
car, the air bag opened with an explosion crushed
his chest, fractured his hand and sprained his
neck. He lost his hearing in the left ear and
broke his new glasses.
What a mess!
All of this could have been avoided if only he had
followed the simple rules of detoxing the body.
1. Drink a minimum of 4 glasses of pure water
a day and not more that 8
2. Eat 2 heaps of fruit a day and the same
with veggies
3. Exercise daily it helps massage your
internal organs and keeps the Qi and blood moving
4. Don’t wait for the pain to come before you
do something about your health
5. Detox at least 4 times a year

I have been keeping my body and mind in great
shape by doing exercises that keep my internal
organs healthy to balance my Ph and detoxing my
body every season change.

As we move into fall the detox, it is more
important than ever to keep you healthy all
winter. You can avoid the cold and flu season and
stay fit as a fiddle!

lan came in to the clinic 2 days ago to
get tuned up and see if he could get his emotions
under control. He was losing his temper all of the time,
he’d get in fights at least once a week and couldn’t stay
in any relationship for more than a few months without blowing up.
He’s got his own business and works hard as a professional diver
and is intense when it comes to work and just can’t leave the
intensity when he goes home.

I thought to myself why is he so wound up? What a cool job
he has, diving, looking for treasure, and seeing the beautiful
marine life and all of the romantic things that remind us of the sea.

As I questioned Al about his work, diet and activity he told
me that he really works hard spending most of his days under
boats scrubbing clean debris and barnacles from the bottom of the sea.

As we went over his medical history and what he was experiencing
he told me this. My problem is I work in water that is dirty
sometimes polluted and filled with oils, gas even raw sewage.
That’s why I came to see you– I know my system is toxic.

“Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves
of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the
ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by
themselves without wondering.”
-Saint Augustine

As soon as I laid my eyes on him I knew there was a problem,
he was loud, his nails are all gnarly, his jaw was clenched
and his complexion was chalky looking.
Although Alan doesn’t have any symptoms of any disease,
we all know he will sooner or later unless he makes some changes.

Al’s system is toxic from his environment. The skin is our
biggest detox organ and also absorbs toxins that will affect
the liver, kidneys and the colon.

The liver and kidneys are like large filters that clean
the toxins out but those filters get filled up with
poisons and then the entire body and mind will be affected.

The emotion of the liver is anger on the negative side and
kindness on the brighter side. Alan is exposed to toxins on a
daily basis and it is starting to show. He’s angry and really
doesn’t have any real reason to be. He makes good money, owns his
own business and is a friendly outgoing guy.
Nevertheless he’s pissed at the world.

In Chinese Medicine all of the signs point to a
toxic liver and liver Qi stagnation.
This can be easily he addressed. The first thing to do
is detox the liver and change his diet and move him out
of the polluted water at least a few days a week.
I put Alan on the 7 day Core detox program

http://rechargingqigong.com/core-restore-detox-program.html

I also got him to lay off the booze and caffeine for 30
days and changed the brown carbonated drinks for fresh clean water.
Although he moaned and groaned for the first 3 or 4 days of the
program he reported that he is starting to feel great and
he isn’t having fits of anger.

If you are feeling out of control, holding on to excess
weight and pissed there is an escape route for you that
will calm things down and it only takes a week to get it going.

The Core restore liver detox program:

You can order it right now and get started in a few short days.

Celebration of our Good Health

Before the Fast

According to the Jewish calendar, it’s now the year 5772.
That’s a lot of years and a lot of tradition, the holiday started last Wednesday night, September 28th. It’s called Rosh Hashanah, meaning “the head or first of the year.”

The next Ten Days begins with Repentance, and concludes with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It’s a time of introspection, forgiveness, and hope for a year in which we do better than we did in the past year.
This holiday is known for the custom of eating apples dipped in honey, symbolizing the sweetness of coming year may bring.

Rosh Hashanah is celebrated on the day when, according to tradition, the first humans were created; this is when people celebrate Rosh Hashanah as the birthday of the world and of humanity. The people from all over the world embark upon the serious task of examining their lives and repenting for any wrongs they have committed during the previous year. They are encouraged to make amends with anyone they have wronged and to make plans for improving during the coming year. It’s all about making peace in the community and striving to be a better person.

One of the traditions that I always do at this time, when the season changes from summer to fall is fasting and forgiveness for any wrongs I may have done. This tradition is in alignment with both the holiday and the season.

I fast for many reasons.
First there are millions of people all over the world fasting at this time.
It is sort of a collective consciousness of fasting because it makes it easier to do, like having waves of energy push you along making the fast easier.
Second fasting has a significant spiritual benefit. It helps to focus more on spiritual parts of our being.
The third reason is for all the health benefits.
A fast will give our system rest and help clean out toxins from our bodies.
Benefits of fasting are:
*Detoxification of the digestive system, liver and the kidneys
*Cooling of the core body temperature. This increases the bodies Growth hormones to keep you younger.
* A feeling of rejuvenation and extended life expectancy

There have been significant studies that conclude; less caloric intake will extend life.
Yes, it’s true, fasting is one of the longevity secrets. There are many reasons to consider fasting as a benefit to one’s health; the body rids itself of the toxins that have built up in our fat throughout the years. The body heals itself, and repairs all of the damaged organs during a fast. Finally there is good evidence to show that regulated fasting contributes to Longevity.

What I have found in my years of practice, is if you pay attention to your diet, do the right exercises like yoga and Qi gong and don’t hold on to the stresses in life you —you will stay disease free and live a happy life!

I wish you the best in your Health,
Wealth and Happiness.
