What do you Think about Astrology?

What do you Think about Astrology?

I know quite a few professional astrologers, and
every one of them has a unique system  that they
have studied and are expert in. Did you realize
that there are many different kinds ?
There is Agricultural , Arab and Persian
, Islamic astrology, Babylonian
, Burmese , Egyptian,
Hellenistic, Judicial , Autarchic
, Mayan , Medical y,
Meteorological , Mundane , Nadi
astrology, Political , Tibetan ,
Western astrology, and Christianity astrology, as
well as Esoteric astrology and Kabbalistic
astrology. That’s a whole lot of people believing
in astrology to predict events and make decisions.
Although mankind has used astrology for thousands
of years, one has to remember this about
astrology: “The map is not the territory.” You can
check your astrology forecast, but you still have
to live your life.

I believe the reason we just read about the
astrology in the newspaper to see what our day may
be like is because they want to hide its real
value. When Christianity became the Roman state
religion in the 4th century, there were opposing
pagan religions that practiced magic. The pagan
religions were prohibited, and the prohibitions
extended to divination and magic. For the most
part, the Church dropped astrology like a hot
potato, calling it anti the word of God. When I
was in Switzerland a few years back, I visited a
church built in the year 1700’s. The stained glass
windows had the complete zodiac signs. So we can
see from history that astrology was part of the
church way, way back. We have, for one reason or
another, tried to get rid of the old ways,
sometimes successful, but not very often. Many
powerful traditions have been lost, but they can’t
be destroyed. For many years, certain traditions
have gone underground, only to resurface later and
be stronger than they were before they
disappeared. In the late forties, Mao Zedong and
his colleagues caused all esoteric practices like
Qi Gong, Nei Gong, and Shen Gong to flee to Japan,
Taiwan, and move into the woodwork of mainland
China. This may have been a good thing as now we
have Qi Gong in the USA and many other places in
the world. When Qi Gong first came to the USA, I
was fortunate enough to meet a Master that taught
me the Flying Crane Qi Gong form. This has been a
godsend to me, my students, and my patients.

Are You Anal-Retentive?

Are You Anal Retentive?

Arnold is a professional and has been working for
a large law firm for two years now. He has been
disciplined his whole life and has always been
responsible and can be counted on like clockwork.
He’s so punctual they call him Anal-Retentive.

He was telling me that, when he was in grade
school, he came home every day, and the first
thing he did was his homework. No playing, no
watching TV or sports. Homework was his number one
mission, and he did it before anything else.
Arnold always did his homework first and then,
after it was finished, he’d allow himself to play,
but never before he did the assignment at hand.
Now he is in his late forties, and he said, “As
long as I can remember, I was highly disciplined
in all my studies, my diet, and everything I did.
I was always on time for everything to the point
of being anal. I never smoked or drank as I never
wanted to lose control of anything, and I still
don’t, and I always follow the rules to the T.”

The only thing that went wrong for Arnold is he
always had stomach problems. After he eats
anything, it doesn’t matter what it is – organic,
gluten-free or non-GMO – just about everything
gave Arnold a belly ache for as long as he can
remember. When I examined him, my attention was
directed to his spleen. The spleen’s function
involves the transformation of water and food into
the Qi and blood of the body. The spleen is the
principal organ for the production of Qi and blood
in the body, and serves a vital function in this
capacity. When the spleen is functioning well, a
person has a good appetite, strong digestion, and
vibrant energy. When this function is weak, you
> will see issues, such as bloating, reflux,
fatigue, diarrhea, poor appetite and/or
malnutrition.

In Western medicine, the principal functions of
the spleen have nothing to do with digestion
(whereas the pancreas has quite a bit to do with
digestion). The emotion that is associated with
the spleen in Chinese medicine is worry. Arnold
worries all the time about not being perfect in
every way. He never wants to lose control and
tries to control everyone and everything. The
pressure he puts on himself is brutal, and this is> making a mess of his digestive system.

Two months ago, Arnold bought “Turn Stress Into
Power” http://www.on2url.com/lnk?MTc0NTY5NnwxMTU4MTgzNjE5fHM9MQ%3D%3D and has been
practicing the meditations and exercises daily.
Guess what? No stomachache! He is actually
functioning quite well; he still likes to be a
control freak but he is much, much better, and he
isn’t as hard on himself.

I wish you the best in your Health, Wealth, and

Finally, A Surefire way to Stay Rooted

Finally, a Surefire way to stay Rooted

For the last 22 years, I have been living in South
Florida. I love the sub-tropical weather. My home
is a few blocks from the ocean and just 15 minutes
away from my office. I have been in my new home
for 3 months, and it’s starting to shape up. The
place is a jewel. I have large mango trees in the
backyard, a dozen of banana trees, 2 papaya trees,
and a guava tree in the front yard, and not one of
them is genetically modified. No GMOs in my yard.
Just before the holiday, I planted a black bamboo
and two Buddha belly bamboos in the front of the
house, and a large, green-striped, and a red
bamboo in the back of the house. Over the next few
weeks, I will plant my Feng Shui garden filled
with herbs and vegetables including tomatoes,
lettuce, kale, broccoli, spinach, and more green
than a big family could eat, and it’s all organic.

Eating off the land is one of the best ways to
nourish your body, mind, and spirit, and to ground
your energy. When you work in the garden, or just
put plants in your home, it’s a great way to
de-stress from work, and a joy to see your efforts
grow. A garden grows at its own pace; you can’t
rush it or slow it down. It needs just a few
things to grow – the right soil, water, and
sunlight. If the pH of the soil is too acidic,
you’ll get a poor crop. If the garden isn’t
watered, your garden will dry up and, if there is
no sunlight, nothing happens at all.  A garden is
very similar to our bodies. We need to keep our
internal system alkaline rather than acidic to
stay healthy. Without a doubt, we need to stay
hydrated. As far as the sunlight, it’s one of the
biggest factors in keeping us happy, vibrant, and
free from depression and anxiety.

Working the land, no matter if it is acres of land
or just a small plot, will help with your Qi Gong.
When you plant a garden and practice your Qi Gong
daily, you will be amazed of how grounded you will
get in just a few months. Plant a garden, no
matter how small, even if it’s in a pot, and watch
it grow. I also suggest you get a copy of the
Flying Crane Qi Gong
http://www.on2url.com/lnk?MTcyMzQ2NXwxMzAzNDU3OTN8cz0x
for yourself or give it as a gift. It’s the gift
of health you will be giving to your friend or
family member, a new way to stay healthy and
grounded.

I wish you the best in your Health, Wealth, and
Happiness.

How You can Transform

The shift is happening

The shift is happening

How You can Transform

Last Saturday, I was invited to a baby shower.
Strange if you ask me. I’ve noticed that there has been a paradigm shift or big transform in traditional and cultural practices in this country. Traditionally, only the women are invited to baby showers. They would eat, talk all about baby stuff, and open presents.
Then, eat some more, complain about what they ate, and go home after a lot more talking and “oohs”
and “aahs” over baby stuff. What in the world would any guy want to get involved in this except maybe the eating part? Most guys don’t have a bit of interest in hearing about the color of the room, the new bassinet, or how many organic diapers they now have. Whoever changed this tradition and now shifted it to inviting men to baby showers baffles me. It’s always been an unspoken rule that baby showers are for WOMEN ONLY, where girlfriends and the women in the family of the expecting mother get together to celebrate the new bundle of joy. They play games, open gifts, and cackle into the night like a group of hens, and have a great time. What I can remember is the men stay at home, enjoyed a little peace and quiet, watch sports, or go to the gym and get a great workout. Why would a guy want to go to a baby shower, anyway? It just isn’t our place.

After all my ranting and raving, I received an invite to Eyla’s baby shower, and this sparked my interest. So, I was off to the shower with a gift in hand and a few bottles of wine to see what it’s all about. To my surprise, there were quite a few men there, and it was a lot of fun. More fun than I would have imagined. I think the wine helped. I can see that my attitude, views, and expectations were really outdated.

When I first discovered the power of internal exercises, my friends, co-workers, and even some students and yogis all thought this form of exercise and meditation was useless. But now the paradigm shift has happened. Every day, people from around the world are getting and practicing the Recharging Qi Gong exercises and transforming their lives.

Are you ready to open up to a new you? Want the power and energy that you once had? We all want to retain our youth as much as possible.

Important Longevity Program

Now that it’s autumn, you’ll start to feel new
things in the air and in your body. It’s time to
start changing a few things in your longevity program. As
the season changes, it is important to adjust and
fine-tune your exercise, your diet, sleep and your
meditations. I’ll explain more as we go on…

longevity

Longevity and ancient Qigong practice for good health and a long life

I walked to my new training spot on the beach in
Hollywood early this morning.
You can feel fall wherever you live. When I lived
in Michigan and walked in the woods, I would know
there was a shift. I remember feeling the chill of
autumn at this time of the year. Golden leaves lay
scattered on the ground. The smell of dry, burning
leaves filled my nostrils. It’s amazing how
quickly we descend from the warmth of summer to
the chill of fall. The nights are longer than the
days, there is more energy leaving the earth’s
atmosphere than entering it. If you are quiet
enough inside, you will feel the shift, the smells
are different and, if you watch the animals in
your surroundings, you’ll see their behavior has
changed.

We have moved into the season of the Metal energy
where Autumn cleans out old negativity. Fall is
the season when we learn more about ourselves than
in any other season. Now that the harvest of late
summer is over, nature now makes everything bare.
The growing season is over, and it is time to turn
inward and let go of things that hinder your
growth. The energy of fall dropping the old, just
like the trees drop their leaves at this time of
the year.

In Chinese medicine, Autumn is the season of the
Metal element. Sadness and grief are the emotions
of the Metal element. We all experience loss,
separation, and the need to let go, and it’s
natural to feel the grief at these times. Grief
cleanses us of what is no longer needed in our
lives. The large intestines is the organ of the
Metal element. It has the function of eliminating
what is unnecessary or toxic from our system, both
physically and mentally. On the other hand, valor
and courage are the positive themes of the season.
Start moving forward with your projects and be
inspired to get things going. The lungs and large
intestines work together as a team, one taking in
the pure Qi, the other eliminating toxic wastes.
If there is a blockage in your system, you may
experience symptoms of bronchitis, shortness of
breath, cough, allergies, nasal congestion, colds,
sore throat, constipation or diarrhea, and
abdominal pain.

The Metal element is at its peak now, and we are
particularly open to treatment. Using the wisdom
of Chinese medicine, we can rebuild the Metal
within us physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Now is the time to contain yourself, speak only
when necessary, true and kind, behaving with
economy, and exerting your will quietly and
calmly. To get in harmony with the autumn season,
go through your closet, desk, garage, medicine
cabinet, or any cluttered storage area, and
discard what you no longer need. Diet should
include more squash, sweet potatoes, pumpkin and
root veggies. Go to sleep earlier and wake up a
little later. As for your internal exercises and
meditations, it is now time to join the Qi Gong
Inner Circle http://goo.gl/BhkK3x and learn the
Fall longevity secrets.

I wish you the best in your Health, Wealth, and
Happiness!

How Many Dragons Do You Have around You?

Is there a Dragons in your home

I was sitting on the couch last night reading a book. When I looked up, I noticed that I have 3 dragons sitting above the fireplace. I seem to just notice them for the first time, although they were there for over a week. As I walked around the house, I noticed that I have another one on the coffee table and another on my desk. Later that evening, I stepped outside, and there were quite a few geckos all over my yard. They looked like little dragons scurrying around. In Chinese lore, the dragon was a benevolent creature with powers to bring rain, floods, and even hurricanes to a land. Along with this ability, the dragon signified power, strength, and good luck. In mythology and legend, the most powerful and noteworthy warriors and leaders are compared to the Dragon. Emperors took on the symbolism of the Dragon as they hoped to bring good fortune to their lands. The Chinese Dragon is a composite of nine different animal resemblances to make up the appearance of the Chinese dragon. It is said that dragons possess scales of both the yin and yang essence, with 81 and 36 scales, respectively, both numbers being multiples of 9 which is the luckiest number there is in all of China. According to Chinese myths, the dragon has nine children (not including mortals, such as the legendary Yandi): Bixi, Qiuniu, Yazi, Chaofeng, Pulao, Chiwen, Bi’an, Suanni and Pixiu. More interestingly, the nine dragon-children have different characters from one another, and their images more specific. Imaginary images are widely used in architectural decoration, especially in the Imperial palaces. 1.Bixi, the eldest of the nine dragon-children, has the shape of a turtle with sharp teeth, and is fond of carrying heavy objects; it’s often depicted on the sides of grave monuments. 2.Qiuniu, a yellow scaly dragon, has a liking for music and excels in playing it; it’s often used to adorn musical instruments. 3.Yazi, with a snake belly and a leopard head, is keen on fighting and killing; it’s often used as the decoration of sword grips. 4.Chaofeng has an instinctive taste for adventure; it’s often used to adorn the roof ridges of palaces. 5.Pulao is known for its loud crying; it’s often used as handles on the top of bells. 6.Chiwen, living in the sea, has a harsh voice and takes delight in devouring the other creatures; it’s often erected on the ends of ridgepoles of palaces. 7.Bi’an has a fancy for lawsuits, so it’s often erected at jail gates. 8.Suanni has a shape of a lion and takes delight in sitting cross-legged and smelling the odor of incense; it’s often depicted on the incense burners and seats of Buddhist temples. 9.Pixiu is fierce and majestic with a horse’s body, and it’s in charge of exorcising the demons to keep Heaven safe; it’s often used to guard gates. chinese dragon-poster Embrace the Dragon in your life as a protector and a guide. I use the 4 sacred animals as my protectors and guides in my meditations. I will be sending out the symbols and explain the sacred animals to the members of the Qi Gong Inner Circle this month. Moving Past your Limitations

Moving Past your Limitations

As we start to move into the fall season, the
winter sports come to life again. As you know, I
usually don’t write about sports. But for the last
few months, I have been treating a few
professional athletes with acupuncture, deep
tissue work, and homeopathic medicine to help them move past their limitations .

Alex is a professional in every sense of the word
– a great athlete and a warrior with a strong
sense of Bushido, a Japanese word for the
“way of the Samurai” or “way of the warrior”.
Bushido is the code of moral principles which
the Samurai were required or instructed to
observe. It was an organic growth of decades and
centuries of military career. In order to become a
Samurai, this code has to be mastered.

Alex has been coming to the clinic 3 days a week,
doing core work with Mohay, acupuncture and
Medical Qi Gong with me, and going into the
cryo-therapy to cool down to 265 degrees below
zero for 3 minutes to get rid of any inflammation.
He has been on the ice since he was 3 years old as
his father played pro-hockey all over Europe for
more than 20 years. Hockey is a rough sport
indeed; I played a little when I was a boy in
Michigan, but as soon as one of my friends got his
front teeth knocked out, my mother retired me.

There are some real keys to be the best at your
game:

1. If everybody trains once a day, you train
twice.
2. If you want to be the best, work with a coach.
3. Diet is a huge factor in your health and
performance.
4. Be passionate about your sport, work, and your
relationships.
5. Try out new ways of training, coaching, and
alternative medicine.

Alex Galchenyuk has been playing the Canadians
since he was 18. He scored his first NHL goal on
January 22, 2013 against Scott Clemmensen of the
Florida Panthers, tipping in a shot from Brandon
Prust; rookie teammate Brendan Gallagher also
recorded his first NHL point, an assist.
Galchenyuk finished the season playing in all 48
games with nine goals, 18 assists for 27 points
and a plus-minus rating of +14, playing primarily
on the left wing of the third line. He finished in
the top ten in all three offensive categories
among rookies, and was sixth overall in rookie
points scoring, helping propel a resurgent
Canadian’s team to the second-best record in the
Eastern Conference.

The quality that this young guy vibrated is
passion, power, and commitment. As you learn and
embody those qualities, your life will change and
the Bushido spirit will be with you forever.

Learning How to Learn

Learning How to Learn

It was back in the early seventies is when I put my energy into learning how to learnI moved my
family to Southwestern Colorado. It was the year
before the ski opened, and there were only 400
people living at 8,945 feet above sea level. It
was the most beautiful place you could imagine.
Telluride sits in a box canyon. Steep, forested
mountains and cliffs surround it, with Bridal Veil
Falls at the head of the canyon. The winters were
long and cold, and we heated our home with wood.
We had an Ashley wood stove that pretty much kept
us warm all winter. It took around 10 cords of
wood to go through a winter in the mountains. A
cord of wood is 8×4 inches and 4 foot high. That’s
a lot of chopping and splitting to heat your
house, but I did it every winter for years. When
you cut and split your own wood, you get a lot of
heat out of it. You heat up your whole body when
you go logging, and even more when you split it.
That was a real wo rkout that you can’t get at a
gym.

When you live in a small town, you know just about
everyone, and everyone knows you. For the most
part, everybody was friendly and would give you a
helping hand if needed. Telluride was a magic
place, and many a friend would come to visit, both
winter for the skiing and summer to enjoy the
beauty of the Rockies.

Around Thanksgiving, my friend, Jerry, came to
visit on his way to California and stayed with us
for a few weeks before he decided to make
Telluride his home. I don’t think he ever got to
California. One sunny morning in September, I was
headed up the mountain to do some logging. Jerry
volunteered to give me a hand. He had no idea what
he was in store for. He’s a city kid, and this was
his first logging experience. Now that I think
about it, it was my second, or maybe, third
logging adventure as I was brought up in the same
big city that he was. As we drove up the mountain,
we could see that there were dead trees standing
on both sides of the road. I had a brilliant plan.
I decided to cut down one of those 40- or 50-foot
trees and have it fall on the road, so all we had
to do was cut it up and fill the truck. I found a
nice tree and cut it, so it would fall on the
road, ju st like I planned. The only thing I didn’t
realize was, when the tree hit the road, it
jack-knifed back and hit me right in the nose! I
was out cold. The next thing I remembered was
Jerry carrying me to the car, and with super human
strength, moving a 40-foot tree off the road, and
driving me to the hospital. I can remember going
in and out of consciousness on the ride.

images-2

Learning How to Learn

After that, my life changed radically. I left the
mountains soon after that near-death experience,
and I have devoted my life to health, healing, and
spiritual growth ever since. For three decades, I
worked with my Master, learning all I could about
longevity, meditation, and the process of learning
how to learn. Then, in 2007, I began sharing this
work with a select group of people who wanted to
learn the ways of mastering the internal self. I
called the group, “The Inner Circle,” and
we have been going strong since we started.

will last you a lifetime, join us today.

The Key to your Growth

The Key to Maximum Growth

Early this morning, I was on the beach practicing.
Then, I walked out to the pier to watch the waves
crashing and spraying over the sea wall. Looked
like a huge storm is rolling in. It’s dark,
threatening, and I could see the lightning out in
the distance. It is hurricane season until
November, and we get our share of storm this time
of the year with lots of rain. I was hustling back
home to try to beat the rain. Shanti stopped me. I
see her every morning on the beach. She’s a Yogini
and has been doing and teaching yoga for a long,
long time. She wanted to know what happened to my
arm with all the details. I told her the story,
and she said, “There is always a hidden reason and
lesson for everything that happens to us.”

When I got home, I decided to see what the wrist
represents. According to Louise Hay, the wrist
represents movement and ease. And the “Lama on the
Mountain” refers to the wrists as having to do
something with our connections. Who needs to be
brought together or what needs to be brought
together?

I still think about both of those interpretations
of my wrist accident. The cast will be on for
another 2 weeks, so I am working on my legs and
grounding techniques. You can always find a way to
keep up with your training no matter what happens
in your life. Practice is the key to building an
indestructible body, mind, and spirit.

Practice, Practice, Practice.

Want more? Of course you do. We all want more if
it’s the real thing. Join the Qi Gong Inner Circle

stories, and everything else for your maximum
growth.

Three Powerful Moons

Three Powerful Moons

The energy is building. By the end of August, we
will have the first of 3 powerful full moons. The
first full moon is on August 29, 2015 at 2:35 pm
(EDT). It is called the Sturgeon Moon, Corn Moon,
or Grain Moon. The second is on September 28 while
the third on October 27. They are called super
moons because the centers of these full moons and
that of Earth will be less than 224,834 miles
apart.

This month’s full moon will open a floodgate of
emotions. The Pisces full moon awakens our desire
for closure on a deep soul level. Pisces is about
endings and transitions. It’s time to surrender
and accept the things we cannot change, and to pay
attention to what’s at hand.

Here are some tips on how to tune in to the Pisces
full moon power:

1. Be open to your Unknown. The veil between the
spirit world and the living is thinner than ever.
You may experience coincidences, deja vu, and
vivid dreams.

2. Be compassionate. Be open, have compassion for
everyone, and show kindness towards yourself and
everyone you come in contact with.

3. Change your emotion into devotion. This full
moon can bring up some turbulent emotions. It
might even make you feel a little “crazy”. Pick a
healthy outlet for release. Practice morning and
evening, write in your journal, or go dancing.

4. Soak your body. Stand in the ocean, soak in a
bathtub with Epsom salts or in a natural hot
spring. Even a swimming pool will work. The moon
is the water element, and so is the sign Pisces. A
soak will balance the body and mind.

5. Honor your ancestors. Pisces is the 12th and
final sign of the Zodiac, and it represents your
golden years. Take time to sit and talk with your
elders, and dedicate the merits of your
meditations to the benefit of your ancestors.

6. Take a workshop, read and study. This weekend
is a wonderful time to snuggle up with a good
book, sit down and set your goals for the next 3
months, or go to a workshop to make your life
better.

I wish you the best in your Health, Wealth, and
Happiness!
