Live your Life Like a Luscious Strawberry

Last weekend my friend
Ditteke invited me to a birthday party.
She is a young model who works
in Miami and told me that I don’t
want to miss this birthday party
since it is going to be very unusual!

She gave me the directions and I drove
into Coconut Grove. When I got to the house,
there was loud Indian music, incents burning
and in the back yard was a beautiful pond
with bubbling water.
The place was really lush!
That’s when she sprung the news
on the 20 of us that were there.
This birthday party was about
breakthroughs in our life.

The guy who hosted the party
was a workshop leader and talked to us about:

Pay Inner Attention – noticing my thoughts and feelings
Accepting the Worst – Fully acknowledging my doubts and fears
Expect the Best – Focus my intention on my desired outcome
Go For it! – If you choose to

At first we had no idea what the hell
heck he was talking about but we found
out that this special birthday party we were
going to do some unusual things. Like put an
arrow up against our throat and break it, break a
piece of wood with a single blow with our bare
hand, bend a 10 foot piece of rebar with our neck
and last but not least was walk on hot, burning coals.

He said:

“Attention is a choice
I am always choosing what I pay attention to”

He started to explain what we choose to
pay attention to will always change your
experience, no matter if it is positive or negative.
He told a story about a Buddhist monk who was
walking through the jungle and when he
walked down the path, he ran and smacked
into a ferocious tiger. The tiger started to
chase him and he ran wildly through the
jungle and before he knew it, he ran off of a cliff.

Luckily there was a vine and the monk
grabbed on to the vine. He was just hoping
that the vine was long enough so that he could
lower himself down to the ground.
As he slithered down the vine, he noticed
2 tigers on the jungle floor growling and
looking up at him. He started to climb up the
vine and noticed 2 hungry rats chewing at the
vine he was hanging on.
“The monk was really in between a rock and a hard place.”

Sometimes, situations like this
happen to us in our life.
What do you think the monk did?
He looked out and between the cracks
of the cliff, there was a strawberry plant
and on the plant there was a luscious ripe strawberry.
He reached out, picked the strawberry and ate it.
We always have choices. It makes no difference if
we are hanging on a vine or if there are tigers above
us and below us. We always have a choice.

“What I choose to pay attention to will
always change my experience!”
The monk chose to pay attention
to the luscious strawberry. What do you chose?
To be eaten by the tigers or to eat the sweet
luscious strawberries in life? I know what I choose.
I choose opportunity, challenges, gifts, and growth.

Isn’t it time that you choose the best for yourself?
I have dedicated my life to teaching others so
that they can grow, be on their limitations,
enjoy a healthier life and be all that they can be.

My students, patients, friends and family have
chosen to change their life. They have chosen to

How to Clean your Spiritual Objects

Whenever I bring something new into
my home or office, if it is going to be
used for healing or spiritual purposes,
I make sure that I take the time to clean
it energetically.

The other day I was at the organic market in
Coconut Grove and there is a guy there that sells crystals,
Shiva lignums, gems and a host of unusual things.
I was eyeing a little Buddha for some time that seemed to
have some extraordinary Qi. Its cast of combination of
different metals seemed to resonate with interesting energy.
So, we cut a deal with the merchant and it’s
now part of my collection.
Before I brought it into my home I made sure it
was cleansed of any negative energy.

Here’s what I did:
Once you have cleaned an object physically, the next step is
to cleanse it of unwanted vibrations and energies that come from
other people handling it in packing, transportation, unpacking and
display before it has actually reached to you. With all the people
at the market touching, holding and looking at this Buddha, it needs
to be cleaned. Objects tend to take on energy indiscriminately and
like wearing someone else’s shoes, you can feel what’s not
the right energy for you.

I like to use a salt-water bath to purify these types of objects.
I live a few short blocks from the Ocean so going down to the
beach and cleaning my spiritual and healing objects is quite
easy for me. Salt is really good for removing negative
energy from most things.

You don’t need to soak the objects very long in salt water.
If it has a good vibe in the first place I’ll hold it in the
Ocean water for just a few minutes or sometimes I’ll bring home
a bucket of water and soak the object for a day or so.
When I do some really, really heavy clearing, I will soak the
objects in salt water for 3-4 days. Usually, an 8-hour bath every
now and then is just fine. If you don’t have access to seawater get
a bowl large enough to hold what you want to purify and fill the bowl
with water to cover it by about 1 inch. Add 1 tablespoon of sea salt.
But if you have genuine seawater, that’s the best!

When you pour off the salt water, do not touch the water or you can
transfer the negative energy back on yourself. Remember to thoroughly
rinse off any salt residue.

I’ve also smudged different objects with sage, sweet grass or
incense to cleanse them. This is especially good for things
that cannot be soaked in salt water.

After it’s clean I’ll put the object in the Sunlight.
It re-charges the ultraviolet light from the sun and
restores the depleted energy.
There are many other methods of cleansing spiritual
and healing objects. Some with water, sounds, light,
earth, color and fire. I share these spiritual teachings
with the members of the Qi Gong Inner circle as well as how
to use the tools methods and internal practices.

I was Shanghaied and held as a Prisoner

This morning after my workout
and a little breakfast,
I planned to go to the Glazer Farms organic market
in Coconut Grove.

It’s about 30 to 45 minutes away from my house.
What I like about the organic market is that
they have countless unusual prepared salads,
soups, fresh juices, mouth-watering coconut
water and the best darn raw fruit pies that you
have ever tasted. Not only are all of these treats
delicious, they are extremely healthy filled with
minerals and vitamins.
My plan was to stock up and have a weeks worth
of ready to eat healthy foods and treats.

My friend Bob said he was going to the market as
well, so we planned to go together and meet up at
around 10 O’ clock. The market trip usually takes
around 2 or 3 hours from port to port- if you stop
for lunch, and it’s a relaxing way to enjoy the morning.
He picked me up with Shaina, his wife, and we
were off to the market.
We were driving for about 20 minutes and that’s
when I heard the news.

Shaina said, “We were going to The Red Lands
to “Country Robert’s.” Not only is it about an hour
and a half away, nothing is organic!
Too late for me to get off this trip!
I was now a prisoner on Shaina’s trip.

“Cest La Vie.”

This kind of thing happens to all of us now and then.
We are forced to do something or go somewhere
that we really don’t want to do and this was one of them.

It turned out to be a lot of fun, although it wasn’t
what I had in mind. I finally got home around
6 O’ clock in the evening and just had to laugh at
how the day went. Let me give you some good advice
when you are “Shanghaied.”

You need to roll with the punches.
You can go kicking and screaming or curl up in your
emotional shell or love what you’re doing when
you are doing it.

Do you remember the song by Crosby Stills & Nash,
‘You gotta love the one you’re with?’
“Don’t be angry, don’t be sad don’t sit crying talking
good times you’ve had Love the one you’re with.”

In every situation we always have a choice.
How we will handle our own emotional state
is 100% up to you.
One can change it at will or be pulled around by our
negative emotional being.

As you go through the exercises in the book and DVD
in the Turn stress Into Power program, you will learn
powerful and yet simple exercises, meditations and
secret hand positions called Mudras; A gesture or position,
usually of the hands, that locks and guides energy flow.
