The Key to longevity, update on Dr. Cuenca

Dimages will be at my office later this
month July 25th for a week to run some interesting
testing on patients, she is a naturopathic doctor
from Santa Cruz, California and specializes in
Computer regulation thermography (CRT) and
advanced homeopathic medicine. The Thermography is
a wonderful tool used to get a functional picture
of all the organ systems in the body.

The Test is performed by measuring different
points on the skin, which correspond to specific
internal organs and tissues through
viscerocutaneous reflexes. Thermography has been
used in Europe for more that 20 years, and has
recently been computerized to make interpretation
easier and more accurate.
How the CRT works?

The autonomic nervous system, which controls
automatic body functions, determines circulation
to internal organs as well as the skin. It does
this by altering the amount of dilation and
constriction in blood vessels. Environmental
temperature impacts the autonomic nervous system
and, therefore, affects blood flow. By measuring
the temperature of many different points on the
skin before and after a cold stimulus, we can
monitor changes in circulation. The actual
temperature, as well as how it changes in response
to the cold stimulus, provides information about
the function of organs and tissues that correspond
to the points being measured.

After adapting to room temperature, the first set
of measurements is taken. A 15 minute cooling phase
follows before measuring the
points a second time. After the results are
interpreted, they will be explained during a
follow-up appointment. Treatment will be based on
the test’s results, the patient’s specific
situation, and the doctor’s assessment.

Why is this test so important ?
Regulation thermography is effective in the early
detection of many physical imbalances and
diseases. Often times symptoms are affected by
areas of the body that may not at first seem
directly related. Thermography can help determine
what additional lab work; if any; may be needed to
determine the source of ill health; and can help
avoid many unnecessary, expensive lab tests.

CRT can discover possible sources of chronic
disease and infections. Breast, ovarian, and
prostate health can also be assessed. Possible
cardiovascular, stomach, liver, pancreas, and
gallbladder problems can be detected using the
CRT. Unknown causes of infection and inflammation,
allergic or toxic reactions to food, the presence
of intestinal mycosis or dysbiosis, and possible
correlations between dental health and disease can
all be determined using CRT. Your overall vitality
can be estimated by CRT.

Pain is mandatory, Suffering is optional

If you hit your thumb with a hammer — that’s pain
for sure, but after it heals if you are still
talking about how much it hurts and how it has
screwed up your life — that’s suffering.
It is clear when one considers the number of
people who suffer with conditions that happened
years ago and yet they are suffering on a regular
basis.

Conditions, such as migraine, anxiety and
depression can be triggered by real things and of
course having an injury is as real as it gets
however, studies have shown that life events are
required to trigger these conditions. The
biomedical approaches to pain management,
including pain medications, injection techniques,
and surgical and chemicals but these have also not
been shown to be successful in some cases.
Therefore a new model for these disorders is
needed, the mind-body model in which these
disorders are considered to be related to
individual reactions to stressful and traumatic
even events and unresolved emotions.
Evidence indicates that pain can originate in the
absence of a tissue disorder in the area where
pain is being felt as seen in phantom limb
syndrome. Pain initiated by the brain is
identical to pain originating in tissues.
Learned pain pathways can develop after an injury
even a mild one or can be created during times of
significant stress and emotional reactions.
Although most injuries heal within a reasonable
amount of time, pain pathways can become “wired”,
thus creating chronic pain that is often stubborn
to most treatments.
The Unravel the Pain program consists of a mixture
of cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and
emotional expressive techniques. The Unravel the
Pain program has been shown to reverse and even
erases the problem forever.
Individuals who have endured significant childhood
and adult stressors and who have suffered with
chronic pain often have a negative view of
themselves and low levels of self-esteem and
self-efficacy. Therefore, an overarching theme
for guiding individuals to health is the
development of love and kindness toward oneself.
This can be accomplished by positive affirmations,
by meditations and visualizations.
In the Turn Stress into Power program

health but if you are unable to meet with me I
highly suggest picking up the Turn Stress program
