The Power of Qigong

The New moon was last Saturday and one of my patients asked me if I would go to the hospital and do some energy work on her 81 year-old father. She lives out of state and couldn’t be there herself.

Going into a hospital isn’t my favorite place to be. The entire building is filled with sick people who are experiencing some kind of trauma or illness. And the building takes on the vibe of stale energy, sick Qi.

When I was working in China, many of the patients were taken outside for a little while every day to practice qigong. They recovered faster than the patients who were kept inside. I would have loved to take her father out for a stroll, but that’s not permitted in the USA.

When I got to his room, there was a sitter keeping him company. She asked me if I was the doctor the patient’s daughter called about and told her to expect.

When I do energy work like medical qigong, I usually ask to have private space for around ½ an hour, but this time I felt the sitter wouldn’t disrupt us. So, I began the treatment with her in the room.

I worked on his physical body as well as the second body called the energy body to balance the energies and tonify the organs. After around 45 minutes, the patient opened his eyes and although he wasn’t able to speak, he answered my questions with head nods.

Later that evening, his daughter called me and said that the hospital staff reported that her father was much more responsive. The sitter was so interested in my work, that she asked for my number.

I’m a doctor of medical qigong in China. Although some of these treatments are strange to the western minds, they are very powerful and make a huge difference in general health.
