A couple years ago, I was living Telluride, Colorado: a little ski town in the mountains at 9000 feet in the air. One day, I decided to go out and gather wood to heat the house for the winter.
A friend and I ran into the woods. We came to a large, dead standing tree. We hit the tree one time and when the tree hit the ground, it bounced up and hit me in the nose knocking me unconscious.
I actually died at that moment. And as of that moment, my life changed dramatically. I got a divorce within six months. I moved out of the mountain town, and I began studying with a meditation master which would last 35 years.
When an event happens that changes your life, no matter what you do or what you had – everything is now different. A major life-changing event just happened to my son when he was knocked off his motorcycle. Part of the life he had before, no longer exists: he died.
When this happens to you, a door becomes available. You can either stay in a place of suffering to grieve your own life, or you can open up to the opportunity to grow and service others. This is a door that can be opened to make your way to a brand new life which can include a career change, a healing and/or a new perspective.
P.S. For easing through these types of changes, I remind you to stay up on your meditation practices and your Qigong. Check out my https://www.youtube.com/c/DrWuDhi for plenty of free information to make your life better.
