Maintain Good Health to Better Handle Sudden Disaster

I’m in Detroit, Michigan: the motor city. As most of you know, my son had a bad motorcycle accident in October. He was hospitalized in a coma for a month and a half and in physical therapy another month and a half. On Christmas day he was sent home.

Luckily, he’s been very physical all his life. My kids were brought up in the mountains of Colorado. For entertainment, we skied and hiked. Both of my children are very active. When I used to bring them back to Michigan to visit my parents, the other kids looked really scrawny compared to mine. They didn’t have the opportunity to live in nature and exercise outdoors various hours a day.

People ask me all the time, “what difference does it make if I exercise and eat better? A few extra pounds won’t really hurt me.”

I even have people saying smoking cigarettes doesn’t affect them. In rare cases, that may be true, but your body definitely suffers consequences from these toxins. You can live for quite a while without caring for your health. But if anything happens, such as an accident or a sudden disease, it will be more difficult for your body to defend itself.

When you eat well, work out and spend time in nature, you have a better chance of recovering from those hidden evils that sneak up on you like a ninja in the night. If you’re not taking care of your health, you’re living in a state of ignorance. Yes, there are things that the medical profession can do to keep you alive. But the quality of your life will likely deteriorate with conventional medicine. If you want to stay, young, healthy, vibrant and energetic, get off your seat and start moving your body and ALSO improve your diet. Add more organic vegetables (GREENS) and fruit.

One of the most valuable tools that I have in my longevity arsenal is qigong. On March 6, Wednesday, I’ll be hosting an Internal Qigong class at my office. Call 305-406-0120 for details and to reserve your spot. Space is limited.
