Winter Kidney Sexual Health.

On the 21st of December will be the beginning of Winter Solstice; the shortest day of the year; in the Northern Hemisphere! The Element that is most active this time of the year is the Water Element. Winter rules the water element; it is the dormant season, when all life force internalizes deep into the earth and rests. It’s also the time of replenishing energy before spring, when our energy will burst forth with new growth.
The water element is colored black or dark blue, its direction is north, its flavor is salty, and the associated organs are the Bladder, Adrenals and the Kidneys.

This is the time of the year to eat more warming and strengthening foods like stews, soups and savory flavors. If you eat meat, bone marrow soups should be on your menu.  Here is one that I have using over the years. It’s really good!

Recipe (Beef Bone Soup): A hearty, delicious soup.  Servings: 6 servings

1 tablespoon of oil (coconut or olive)

2 lbs. beef bones, deer or elk will work as well. 4 qtrs. of filtered water

1 1/4 teaspoon of Himalayan pink sea salt

 6 allspice berries

1/2 teaspoon of oregano

3 cloves of garlic, crushed

1/4 teaspoon of pepper

1 lbs. organic potatoes (optional).

I like dried chestnuts as well. (10 or 15 of them.)  Dice 3 sprigs of cilantro, chopped 3 carrots I put in the tops as well, 1 large yellow onion chopped, 1 stalk of celery add 4 or 5 pieces of garlic and a little piece of fresh ginger

2. Chop the carrots, celery and onion and sauté in oil until brown. ( Don’t overcook, tor they get mushy.)

3. Place the bones in a large NON- aluminum pot add the water and then add the vegetables and a teaspoon of salt, allspice, oregano, garlic, and a pinch of pepper.

4. Add the potato and chestnuts , Simmer covered until everything is cooked through.

5. Add the cilantro and season with salt and pepper to taste.

The Health Benefits of Bone Marrow• More Essential Fatty Acids• filled with Vitamins• Minerals and Lipids Bone marrow contains alkylglycerols, which is involved in the production of white blood cells in the bone marrow. They protect the body against infections and contribute to health maintenance of cells under serious immune problems such as cancer
Note: It is very important to find bones from grass fed healthy animals such as grass-fed cows, organic poultry bones, bison, and lamb.

There is also a strong correlation between the water element and your first and second chakras. The hours for bladder are 3 to 5 p.m. kidney is 5 to 7 p.m. According to 5-element theory, the kidneys governor vital life force energy. The spirit of kidney energy connects to the unified field of consciousness and our instinct to perpetuate life.

Our kidneys regulate water metabolism, our sex organs and fertility, bones, teeth, hair and hearing. The kidney energy is very important to our health.

Meditation, Qi gong or tai ch’i are all extremely helpful; soft internal exercise is best this time of the year, no heavy weights or strenuous exercise for a bit it’s better to do low weights and lots of reps.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) also provides remarkable and extremely effective herbal and acupuncture protocols for tonifying and strengthening the kidney essence.

Keeping your lower backs warm and well covered during the winter helps protect vital Kidney Energy. We can also eat foods that enhance the water element and aid in healing our Kidney Energy.

Sea Salt is key to kidney balance when used sensibly. The following foods are beneficial and are connected to our kidneys: Grain: Barley, Buckwheat, Black Rice, Vegetables, Beets, Burdock, Asparagus, Beans: Adzuki, black beans, black lentils.  Fruits: Blackberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Purple and Black Grapes, Black Raspberries, Mulberries. Fish: Blue Fish, Caviar, Scallops, Oysters, Clams & Mussels. Nuts: Chestnuts, Black Sesame Seeds & Walnuts. There are many benefits to keeping your kidneys healthy and strong like your longevity and strong long lasting sex life.
