It is Art Basel week in Miami and I am really enjoying the shows! There so many talented & creative Artists, and the entire city of Miami is filled with people from all over the globe.
There is a story about Winston Churchill; when he was asked to cut funding to the arts in order to support the war effort in World War II, he responded “Then what would we be fighting for?” Have you ever seen this quote? This alleged quotation was ascribed to Churchill some years ago by the Village Voice, and has since migrated widely throughout the Internet. Unfortunately he never said that, but you must admit it is a good quote!
Many years ago I fancied myself as an artist and went to school in Michigan at the collage for Arts and Crafts, later they changed the name to “The College for Creative Studies” and they are still there to-date, on Kirbey. I studied metal sculpture and jewelry and was really into it! I even took my family to New Mexico, where I studied blacksmithing with Frank Turley. I then returned to Michigan and got a job at Greenfield Village. My life was all about the arts for years and I really appreciate the life style and creative that opens us up to Spirit, Healing & seeing life with a different flair. The Arts make us smile, cry, laugh and opens our imagination. I believe that as we open to the arts, our heart opens to the real magic of life.
It is said that The arts are essential to any complete natural life. The State owe’s it to itself to sustain and encourage it. The country possesses in the Royal Academy an institution of wealth and power for the purpose of encouraging the arts of painting and sculpture….
Although I am not an artist of canvas or sculpture; I am very much an Artist of Healing, using every creative and imaginative process, that I have studied, learned and was given, to keep us strong, healthy, vibrant and alive! Life is good if the quality of our life is good! I will help you improve what is already good!
