Qi gong, Recharging Qi Gong

Why the Chinese have Deities Blessing their Businesses?

The next time you are in a Chinese Restaurant look
up when you walk in and you’ll notice high on the
shelve, you may notice little wooden red shrines,
each containing a different Buddhist statue
These wooden lacquered boxes shelter Chinese
Buddhist ddeities placed there to protect their
business by warding off bad spirits and hopefully
bring in good fortune. Customers often overlook
them but their importance hasn’t diminished,
because shopkeepers today, as they did thousands
of years ago, still pray to their God’s daily.
You can see these little shrines inside Chinese
Restaurants, Pharmacy and most other Oriental
stores.

Some alters are made on the ground,
surrounded by offerings: tiny cups of wine and
several oranges. The other hangs near the ceiling,
so high that only a glimpse of the god’s head can
be seen. The deities placed up high represents the
heavens, and the one on the ground, the
earth,  This is a Daoist tradition, to seek
blessings for health, happiness and wealth.
Most Chinatown shrines honor three famous Buddhist

like: Guan-Yu or Guan-Gong. With his furrowed
brow, long mustache and beard, and brandished
sword, he stands for honesty and loyalty. Then
there’s Tu-Di Gong the ruler and protector of the
land. He is placed on the floor.
The goddess Guan Yin offers protection and good
luck in personal and business life.
Guan-Gong faces the door to guard against trouble.
He is a god of martial arts and war and wards off
fights and rowdy customers. Traditionally one must
take statues to the temple, to receive the
priest’s blessings. They are usually left there
for several weeks to accumulate blessings.
Buddhists believe that the longer statues stay at
the temple, the more power they will bring their
owners. In Chinatown, a Buddhist priest will pray
to the icons every day, and offer them wine and
fruit. When the shop owners feel it is time,
they’ll retrieve their statues, and place th em in
their rightful locations for protection and good
business.

Just buying a statue doesn’t automatically
guarantee you a god’s protection. One has to honor
the teachings and do the practices. It’s the same
with meditation, Qi Gong or any practice; you must
to do it faithfully to get the results. The
Recharging Qi Gong program is stacked with
information that will keep you healthy and young
but there is no exception to the rule. Practice,
practice and more practice and you will have
rewards are huge. Get started today and recover
your youth.
