It’s been about a week since my return from Upstate New York and I am still on a Spiritual High! I didn’t spend much time gallivanting in the City this time. This was a very serious Spiritual & Meditational Journey.
I drove North about an hour pass Woodstock; to Big Indian. The leaves were a Beautiful Golden Red Shade as if they were announcing loudly; that Fall is Here!
Something quite extraordinary happen on my way to the Ashram! I thought it would be a good idea to call and let them know that I was coming and if the timing was okay to visit etc. The person who answered the phone asked where I was. I said about 1 hour away and wanted to get in touch with a Lama. He said, “This is the Lama speaking!” “Lama Rangban Nyimai Ozer!” He said to come directly to his place because he was doing a Puja Fire and some Empowerment’s, aka “Blessings.
Upon arrival to The Lama’s home, the orange flames were blazing outback and they beckoned me to come and sit and do some prayers with them. They generously invite me to stay for lunch afterwards.
As the Ceremony was progressing, to my surprise; I realized that the practices that he was doing are the same ones that I have been doing for the pass 35 years based on Tibetan Buddhism!
The Lama asked me what practices I did, and I told him about my Root Practice, so he invited me upstairs to see his Sanctuary! I was totally blown away when I saw it! The exact Deities that I follow are the same one that he practices and teaches!
Sometimes the Universe is kind enough to put you in the exact place you need to be at the exact moment. This was the case with this Trip! Timing is everything! I will never be the same after this encounter!
