The (6) Realms – Explained.

The Six Realms; as they are called, are different Forms of Existence in which we can take Rebirth. They can also be thought of as Psychological States we experience in our current life in the Human Realm.

These teachings are derived from Buddhism. There are (3) Lower Realms.  They are as follows:

1) The Animals.

2) The Hungry Ghosts.

3) The Hell Realm.

In my last blog I wrote about the Hungry Ghost Realm and that worker who was stuck  in a complaining existence of living in the past; and always wanting what he can’t achieve.

The Animal Realm is another place persons wouldn’t want to get stuck in.

‘Animal Birth,’ manifest in humans as a result of past offenses and one expiates these sins through suffering in animal form (being hunted, worked, driven, slaughtered, etc), often for thousands of consecutive births (as a dog, pig, dung beetle, etc).  Animalistic behavior is also run by instinct, which means that animals cannot generate Good Karma, they are simply working off the bad.

An Animal suffers a life of ignorant complacency and dullness, in which one doesn’t look beyond avoiding pain and seeking comfort. They care only about sleeping, eating, basic physical safety, pleasure and sex.

They sink into dullness and stupor, engaging in willful ignorance, tuning out anything except for their small realm of egocentric concern. Often harm others – or themselves – through their actions, ignoring Karmic Consequences – stealing, hoarding, deceit – but this is done with an unwillingness or inability to reflect on or take responsibility for – or care about – the consequences, as opposed to the willful aggression of Hell-Beings.

They are also disinterested in self-awareness and reflection. Virtues like compassion, generosity, moral restraint; are just irrelevant to them. Always at the mercy of their desires and fears, focused on “me and mine.”

When some particular desire is being thwarted, that becomes the focus of their obsession.
Persons with the Animal nature tend to over indulge and partake in unhealthy activities like drugs and or sex trade. Sort of punishing themselves by self mutilations. Cutting one’s skin with razors or knives is the most common pattern of self-mutilation. Other forms of self-harm include biting, hitting or bruising oneself; picking or pulling at skin or hair; burning oneself with cigarettes, or amputating parts of the body.

I have treated patients like this, and when I asked them why they hurt themselves, the usual response is that they are hurting so much on the inside they want to showcase it on the outside, perhaps to get attention and help.

When persons are stuck in this Realm, they will get some freedom by being of service to others!

I have been working with the (6) Realms for years; to Free myself and others. Come in for a treatment and change your life forever!

I wish you the Best in your Health, Wealth & Happiness~
