Over the weekend I needed help to tighten up some loose ends at home.
I typically use Mercury Retrograde periods to my advantage because it’s the best time to be proactive and complete pending projects.
Things are aligning as they should; so don’t worry, by June 22nd all will be well in the Universe and we can all have a great no fuss Summer!
So Anyway, I stopped at Home Depot; My second home as of late, to pick up some heavy duty equipment that I rented. While there I thought it would be a great idea to hire a few workers to take the load off me.
I ended up hiring Two Men to be my Apprentice for the day.
Once we made it to my house, I quickly realized that I had hired one Great Hard Working Man and one Disgruntle Lazy Man.
Mr. Hard Worker was on task immediately, once told what to do and was exceedingly grateful, while Mr. Disgruntle complained that it was too hot to work, that his back hurt and he wanted to be paid instantly! One Lion One Sheep!
Let me break down what is happening here:
Mr. Disgruntle is living in The Realm of the Hungry Ghosts. The Hunger Ghost’s Ego lives in a world of, ‘Never Enough, Jealousy and Indignation. Always wanting more, but can’t handle increase.
Ghosts don’t have access to the foods and libations that they crave. They may not hear news of food or water for centuries or ever get to it. Occasionally they glimpse a Stream from afar, but it takes them a long and arduous time to get there; because their joints are so fragile.
When they finally make it to the Stream, most likely the water has dried up! Similarly, they sometimes see an orchard of trees but arrive to find that the fruits have withered. They may see an abundance of food and drinks somewhere, but when they approach it, they are driven away by men who attack them with weapons. Everything is agony for them.
In the Great Wheel there are 6 different Realms or Ego Fixations, that I will write about over the next few weeks. We all have a little sprinkling of all of them and as humans we have the opportunity to get off the wheel of constant Birth and Death, and be liberated!
It’s always interesting to see when one runs into someone who displays one of the realms so strongly. I guess it’s a wake up call to be more awake myself.
To end suffering is a full time job and that’s why I have chosen to help end it, whenever I can.
They say, “Pain is Mandatory on Planet Earth, but Suffering is Optional!”
