Combining Training with Meditation.

In case you missed it, I wanted to give you a little more insight regarding the (3) Most important things you can do for Any Physical Training.

Any Training?

Yes, you read right!

You will also benefit from it right away. Let me explain.

I used to be an avid skier; and by skier, I mean the kind where the water is frozen, not the kind they do here in Florida. LOL!

I grew up in Detroit, but for many years I was blessed with a home in Telluride.

Telluride, Colorado has one of the greatest ski slopes in the USA, and once I learned how to ski, I couldn’t get enough of it.

Snow skiing, especially telemarking (basically downhill skiing on cross country skis) is similar to high intensity Qi Gong. One has to really extend their Full attention ahead, while being totally connected to one’s body, in an elastic and super sensitive way.

Muscles are activated, but not locked. Your body is responsive to the slightest change in the conditions of the snow under foot, while simultaneously projecting yourself rapidly and purposely down a mountain!

Well Snow Skiing has a very Meditative side to it as well.

Once you complete your run down the mountain, you sit motionless. (In a Ski Lift). You are then able to take inventory of your entire body. ‘Am I ready for another run?’ You think to yourself…
Your Spirit and Body are lifted, Physically and Mentally! Then given a vantage point high above where you just descended. It all looks so fresh and brumal.

At this point in time you are able to shift your Energy to new heights; and it can be quite enjoyable actually.

I had a lot of time to practice Meditation when I went skiing, and today I still enjoy combining this principle of intense activity and Motionless Meditation, in everything that I do.

Maybe Khalil Gibran meant it literally when he said, “Rest in Reason; move in Passion!”

If you haven’t started doing the Standing Meditation before and after practicing the Recharging Qi Gong(https://rechargingqigong.com) or any Qi Gong type practice, you are missing out!

 Here’s how:

1.   Before you begin stand motionless and survey your body.

2.   How do you feel?

3.   Are you ready?

4.   What will you do differently this time?

5.   How can you improve?

6.   How closely will you match your intention with your movements?

7.   Now relax and just feel.

8.   Without any apprehension begin your practice.

9.   Be like an artist and focus on the texture of the movements.

10.     When you’ve completed the practice, become motionless again, then take a survey of your body.

11.     How did you do?

12.     How do you feel?

13.     Pause once more with no particular thing in mind.

Then go about your business.
It’s that simple! However, the benefits are enormous. Practice in this way and you will make huge gains in any discipline you practice.

Granted; there’s lots more that you can do. Those that already own The Recharging Qi Gong, know how easy it is to start Motionless Qi Gong.

Keep those emails coming and let me know how your practice is coming along!
