Don’t Ever wait, when it comes to Your Health
Friday, October 2nd, 2015The Magic of Winter Intenal Qi Gong
Sunday, December 20th, 2009Last night I came home after sundown and the whole
house was completely dark.
Instead of turning on the lights I lit a candle.
I never do this sort of thing but the house seemed
so quiet and peaceful I wanted to just sit and open
to the quietness.
I spent the majority of the night in contemplative
meditation. We are in the Winter Solstice and it is
an excellent time to take time to be quiet and reflect
on the past year.
I recommend doing this for yourself as a matter of
self-cultivation.
With all the crazy energy around the holidays and
year-end you want to make sure that you cool-out
and recollect yourself before you burn-out.
Once you do I think you will find that the rush of
the holidays and year-end quiets down and you can
refocus on those things that are most important.
In Chinese medicine Winter is associated with the
element Water. Water energy has the attributes of:
•Cold
•Damp
•Quiet
•Stillness
•Calmness
•Smoothness
•Listening
•The Kidney organ and meridian
This energy is available in the atmosphere
throughout the winter. Just slow down,
sit quietly in a natural place and pull in the
atmosphere. Winter Water energy is also
associated with a special type of Awareness that,
from Chinese to English, best translates as
Alert Stillness. In the Chinese Medicine system we
use animal associations to signify these types of
energy, and as such, the animal for the water element
and organ of the Kidney is the Deer.
The Deer is chosen because it is a master of Alert
Stillness. When you think of a deer you think of an
animal that is impossible to sneak up on.
The slightest snap of a twig and the Deer has
disappeared. This is not the same type of power of
a Tiger or a Dragon but it is a type of power that
completes us.
In the Bagua system of Martial Arts it takes a
whole circle of animals to become a Master.
We cannot always Push, Push, Push, sometimes we
need to sit, take inventory, and listen to the
atmosphere.
This is the power in the symbol of the deer and that
is the power of this time of year.
So take advantage of this time of solstice when this
energy is most powerful and abundant, you will not be
able to tap into this energy so easily in other seasons.
Winter, not just the New Year, is the best time to set
new plans and goals into action.
Take inventory of what is happening around you.
Upon deep consideration you may see more then
before.
Clarity is not achieved when you are rushing or
being hasty.
Opening is found in reflection.
Wishing you the best in Health, Wealth and Happiness,
Dr. Wu Dhi

Cooked Alive.
Sunday, June 7th, 2009
I was at the beach training a group of students this morning. Lady Jane joined us for the first time.
She’s an aerobics and weight trainer and teaches 6 to 10 classes a week.
She said, I feel like I am burning up all the time and I think I am getting old too quickly.
You can already see the prune appear beginning in her face.
Lady Jane is over cooking herself alive from the inside out.
In Chinese medicine
- Excessive physical work weakens the muscles and the spleen.
- Excessive lifting injures the kidneys.
- Excessive jogging/ running and aerobics damage the tendons, leading to a deficiency of the liver.
And she been doing all of this to herself 5 to 10 times a week for years.
That excessive heat ages the body far too quickly.
You know what happens when you take a juicy plum and put it in the sun for too long?
It dries up and in no time you have a prune.
The same thing happens when we over exercise or do the wrong kinds of exercise.
We prune out, from the inside out.
The internal organs get over heated and start to wither. You can see the first signs in the face.
The skin looses its collagen & tone and before you know it you have Old Skin.
Take a look at the fire element in the five elements theory. It has to do with the heart organs as well as the small intestine, pericardium and triple warmer. When the fire element is out of balance you will notice some unusual things happening in your mental emotional make up.
- Fun turns to explosive nature
- Humor becomes excitability
- Conversation turn to incoherent babble
- Generosity becomes selfishness
- Friendliness becomes flirtation
- Charisma changes to seduction
- Good dreams change to Nightmares
These all stress the body as well and even If you don’t exercise, don’t think you’re off the hook stress contribute to over-heating, too.
You should ask yourself this question right now. What can I do to slow down my ageing, keep my skin looking young and my internal organs hydrated and healthy?
The Body needs a way to Cool off Internally.
The way you exercise and the kind of exercises you do can do exactly that. If you exercise correct the body doesn’t overheat. The energy flow in the channels and the Qi opens up and moves.
You’ll be one the ageless groups with elasticity, flexibility, vigor and enthusiasm. You can eliminate blockages, stagnant Qi and just plane stale energy. It’s all in the way you train.
This is what you are taught in the Qi Gong Inner Circle available at
http://www.Qigonginnercircle.com
If just ONE of your organs doesn’t function properly your entire system suffers.
