Invasion of the Helpless

I heard on the news today that we have 4500 people walking from central America to the United States. OH MY! What are we going to do?

We’re being ‘invaded’ by people who have no guns, no swords no knives and are just looking to protect their families. It’s interesting that no one has even addressed a solution to help these people out. You would think that if people are suffering, and running for their lives, we would have the compassion to send them some love and energy and maybe help them out.

To send the military to the borders to stop the people, to block them and to cut off their chances for survival and a better life – is just sick to me. People have been writing me and saying, “let them live at your house, Dr. Wu.”

It seems like the humanitarian side of people is lacking at the moment. It seems like we could find jobs, food and shelter to give people somewhat of a break – instead of sending the military. Our government seems to be the alien. God forbid that an alien from outer space should land on this planet. We would probably shoot first and see what they want later. They may come in peace or they may eat all of the people in Washington DC first.

This morning, I heard on public access radio – that out of the 5 or 10 thousand people that are marching to our borders, most of them are dropping out, and we’re only expecting a couple hundred. They won’t make it to our borders. This could be a big to do about nothing. Just in time for the mid-term elections and to build a useless wall.

We need help with infrastructure like our bridges and roads. Florida definitely needs help with water and the issue of global warming is being pushed under the rug. I’m usually not this political, but these are some of the things that really piss me off.
