Staying Healthy, No Matter What.

Many years ago, I learned from one of my Chinese Master; the importance of proper digestion.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), there’s a great emphasis on the Stomach and Spleen. That’s because the Stomach & Spleen feeds the Heart, the Kidneys, the Lungs and the Liver.

These are all the Yin Organs. If you notice when you visit a friend or family, the first thing they offer you when you walk into their house, is something to eat or something to drink.

This simple jester has a lot of meaning to it. Their offering of food is to feed and nourish your body and feed all of your Internal Organs.  This nourishes the Stomach and the Spleen, which ultimately feeds all of the other organs!

Did you ever notice that after you eat a big meal, your energy drops and you get sleepy? Let me tell you why.

The digestion process takes a lot of energy. Years ago my Master told me that after consuming a large meal, I should  take at least 100 steps: Cien Pasos. This will help expedite your digestion and help feeds all of your other organs.

When a patient comes to see me after I do the initial consultation, I always check the Earth Element – which feeds the Stomach & Spleen – for Energy, Vitality and Digestion Disorders.

If you’re having digestion problems, either constipation or loose stool, chances are you’re not absorbing the proper nutrition. You’re not feeding your organs and you’re affecting your Body, Mind and Spirit. The Stomach and Spleen are at the core of your being.

In the past, you may have been able to eat a hot-
dog loaded with chili and onions, drink a soda and eat a piece of pie; with no problems in one sitting. Twenty years later, you eat the same meal and you have heartburn for a week.

It’s time to make some changes in your dietary habits to get your body back to that time when you could eat and do whatever you wanted.

As the holidays get closer you may forget about your diet for a little bit, but don’t forget to take a walk after each meal – at least 100 Steps! It will improve your digestion and increase your energy.

If you continue to have issues, book an appointment with me and let’s start a program to keep you Young, Healthy and Vibrant!

I wish you the Best in your Health, Wealth & Happiness!
