On December 19th, I started teaching Longevity Classes. Some would say that these classes are Mystical in nature because they touch on what most people in our society avoid.
The word Mystical is scary to some, and they put mystics in one limited box, or refer to what they do as witchcraft; without any knowledge of the person or what they do or believe.
Take for example; Mystics are the one’s who have actually gotten in touch with what is real, they are what we call ‘woke.’ They have powers of receptivity, sympathy and awareness of what’s really going on. They are open to truth and have the ability to stretch beyond the usual small and protective ego, and unusually brave enough to think outside of the box.
Anyone can be a Mystic. The poetry of the 16th-century Spanish mystic, St. John of the Cross-said,
“A person who seeks by contemplation and self-surrender to obtain unity with or absorption into the Deity or the absolute, or who believes in the spiritual apprehension of truths that are beyond the intellect.”
It helps if you take mystical experiences seriously and make something of them. You can weave them into your thinking, feeling and relating. A Mystic is empty and lost in a positive way, yet alert, ready for the next revelation and opportunity.
If you go deep enough into yourself, you will come up against mysterious and creative forces. You can’t know yourself completely and you may realize; as mystics often pointed out, that some of your problems stem from your resistance against that deep unknown source of vitality.
On January 9th we will resume the classes and continue for the next 5 months, on subjects like Communication Skills, Meditations, Healing, Sexual Practices, Anti-aging and more.
