Is it Fate or Faith?

Marvin wrote me this morning, and said, “

Marvin, let me tell you a story…

Years ago, there was a traveling preacher who was
driving in the rural country, visiting many of the
small churches. He came across a beautiful farm
with a white picket fence, rolling hills, a
well-groomed farmhouse, and a barn. He saw the
farmer standing out in the field and decided to
walk up to tell him how lucky he was to have such
a beautiful place. “You have such a spectacular
farm. You should thank God every day for the
blessings He has given you.”

The farmer said, “You should have seen this place
when God had it on its own.”

When we practice and train, we build our own
internal farm. Yes, there is fate, but you can
make your own fate by practicing daily. Sometimes,
I will practice twice a day, no matter if it is my
Qi Gong or any internal practices. I have very
strong faith and discipline that keep me on track.
I practice Qi Gong daily as well as meditation,
and I work full time at more than one job. This
keeps me young, strong, flexible and agile.
