Happy Holidays!

Who would ever do a Detox during the Holiday Season?

I know it’s Holiday time and eating lots and drinking is on the agenda! “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year,” to have fun and let loose!

If you can remember last year’s holiday fun, you may have gained weight, had a massive headache and felt hung over for a few weeks; so why not have fun? I know being with family can be a bit stressful sometimes, but it only happens once or a year, so I am all in favor of having as much fun as you can!
I also want to remain Healthy and Retain my Vitality for as long as possible. I do a few things that that keep me in the ‘party mode’ but avoid the downside.
 Here are a few tips:

1.   Keep yourself well hydrated with Pure Clean Water. Soda, wine, whiskey, coffee and tea will not do it.

2.  Get Aerobic Exercise Daily- It will get Oxygen into all your Cells and move fresh blood into all your organs; keeping you alive and active, plus move toxins out of your system!

3.   Avoid too much Baked Goods and Carbohydrates- Most are from a GMO source, which will slow your digestion down and cause you to pack on pounds that will be a pain to shed, come January.

4.   Be aware of Whom you are ‘Hanging’ with. If they are Negative, Angry or being a Bully; skedaddle as quick as you can because their energy can drain an ocean of Joy quicker than you would imagine!

The Holidays were originally a time for Reflection and Spiritual Awareness, a time to Renew yourself and share the Joy of Life with family and friends!

Though December 25th is the day Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the date itself and several of the customs we’ve come to associate with Christmas actually evolved from pagan traditions celebrating the winter solstice.
“Christmas is really about bringing out your inner pagan,” historian Kenneth C. Davis told “CBS news.” According to Davis, Christmas was celebrated as early as the fourth century, suggesting that it had almost nothing to do with Jesus Christ.
“In ancient Rome there was a feast called Saturnalia that celebrated the solstice. It’s the day that the sun starts coming back, the days start getting longer. And most of the traditions that we have that relate to Christmas relate to the solstice, which was celebrated in ancient Rome on December 25. So when Christianity became the official religion; in a sense, in Rome, they were able to fix this date. There’s a little discrepancy about it, but there’s no question that the fact that it was celebrated in Rome as an important day with gift giving, candle lighting, singing and decorating houses really cemented Christmas as December 25.”

Another custom we can thank the pagans for? Christmas trees. The evergreen trees signaled the “return of life” and “light” as the winter solstice meant the days were starting to get longer.
“They started to hang an apple on it, so little red balls on green trees. So all of these things celebrate the idea that life and light are coming back into the world.
Mistletoe however, was started by the Druids, who believed it was an all-powerful healing item from the sacred oak tree.
“If you met someone in the forest you gave them the sign of peace under the mistletoe, so people started to hang mistletoe above their doorways as a symbol of peace. This was such a powerful symbol of paganism that English churches actually banned the use of it,”  The Puritans actually banned Christmas for 20 years in America before the celebration became just too popular.”
I don’t want to take away any glory from Christmas but the celebration started long before what we now know as Christmas. Food for thought!

Anyway I wish everyone a Happy Holiday, no matter your personal believes.
Personally I’ll be Meditating on the Soloist and will be celebrating the Jewish Christmas by going out for Chinese Food and catching a movie! LOL

I wish you the Best in your Health, Wealth and Happiness!
