Mental Strength.

This past weekend my youngest son did a 200 mile bike ride by himself.

The actual elevation was about Nineteen Thousand Feet above Sea Level! He’s been an avid bike rider for the past 15 to 20 years and averages about 15 miles per day, but ever so often; he likes to push his body to the limit.

I asked his why he made this long trip again, and he said, “I do it to inspire others, even if it gets someone to get up off the couch and go out for a while to enjoy nature.”

This isn’t the first time that he has done a 200 mile bike ride! For his Birthday he rode all night, just because he could do it!

When you push yourself beyond your limits; it does much more than challenge your physical body, it challenges you mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It’s a form of meditation that many athletes do, that pushes them beyond their limits.

When you live your life on the edge, you become sharp in ever aspect of your life. One’s life should be devoted to helping others and moving out of their old paradigm and into a new way of living. These are the people that stand out in life! They are not what you would call normal. They get up early, set goals and they keep their word! They are not very concerned with gossip or about what others think or do. They set their sights on something that they want and they go for it!

Normal in this society is eating fast food, going to the gym a couple days a week, drinking, smoking and partying. When you get your body off the couch and push pass your limits, it’s crazy to people! Getting up early and meditating is crazy to people. Cutting down on your carbs and meats is crazy to people.

Disciplining yourself for your health and wellbeing seems crazy to some people. Exercise, Clean eating etc. is the way to keep yourself Healthy, Alive and Vibrant!

Every good Athlete, no matter if it’s a footballer, base baller, wrestler or biker; has a coach to train him to be the best that he can be!
