How To Walk Your Blues Away…

There is an old Chinese saying that loosely translates to -: “Walk a hundred steps after each meal; and Live a Hundred Years.”


It sounds a little better, and has a sort of rhyme to it, when said in Chinese, but it’s a powerful secret in any language!


 
Last night I was taking just this sort of walk, after a fantastic home cooked meal; I guess all our meals are home cooked at this time. This is an excellent opportunity to sharpen our cooking skills and be creative. 


The nights are a bit cooler here in Florida and if you can get in a walk after a meal you will feel better and keep your digestive system working better and better each day. 
It’s a beautiful thing and you will notice the difference immediately.


 
I was brought up thinking that the best thing to do after a big meal is just sit there, relax, and maybe even take a nap.


But walking a little bit, at least the 100 steps, is fantastic for your digestion, your over all headspace and keeping those joints limber.
 
If you haven’t been walking, it’s time to get those bones moving and keep your joints lubed up. Walking is better than one would think for over all Health, Mentality, Energetically, and for your gut health. 


In fact, walking is way better than just rolling over to the couch and turning into a zombie in front of the TV.


 
If you already know how 100 steps after a meal can improve your digestion, I suggest you make a habit out of it. You might notice that you’ll start storing a little less fat in the tummy as well.


This is one of the great secrets to loosing weight effortlessly with Qi Gong walking. I’ll be sharing how walking can help to keep you free of cancer as well.  
While I was walking, I started to think about what else I knew about walking that is super powerful and something I could easily share in an email.
There are many, many ways to use simple walking to improve your physical condition, speed up the healing process and build vital Qi Energy.


 
One is getting your breathing and walking in sync.
Just watching your breathing and counting the breaths can be a powerful way to focus the mind, calm the body, relax and release tension.


When you combine that breathing with walking; you have a very Powerful Moving Meditation.


Just giving the mind and body these simple tasks to perform and you will feel incredibly relaxed, refreshed and energized.


 
This is what I mean when I say, “Get out of the way” and let the Qigong work on you.


 
When you’re no longer caught up with the problems of the world, how you will survive, and your ego; your body and mind will relax and the Qi will start working miracles plus bring about a great harmony, self love, and your true self will emerge. 


 
It’s like when you get a great night of deep sleep and feel powerful and refreshed in the morning!


Another way of getting the most out of walking is to learn to walk backward.
This may sound silly, but take my word for it; you can’t beat it!

 


1. Walk 100 steps after every meal.


 
2. Walk and Breathe together.

 
3. Learn to Walk Backwards.
 


There are numerous other ways that you can apply the principles of Qi Gong to walking, but these three alone by themselves will produce an incredible change in you, for the better.
