How Negative News & Anger Affect Your Kidneys and Liver.

There are so many good things happening at this moment in time and yet the News; and people in general, focus on the Negative.

Why is that? Most News we see and hear is Negative and chock-full of Disaster, Terrorism, Crime, Scandals and Corruption!

Media studies show that Bad News far outweighs Good News, by as much as 17 Negative News reports, for every 1 Good report.

The answer lies in the work of evolutionary psychologists and neuroscientists. Humans seek out news of Dramatic, Negative Events. “The brain devotes more attention to anything that appears threatening.”

Experts say that our brains evolved in a hunter-gatherer environment where anything unusual or dramatic had to be attended to immediately for survival.

So while we no longer defend ourselves against the tigers jumping out of the bush, our brains have not caught up as yet and we go into survival mode.

The Media, Television, Radio, Internet and the printed word contributes to the bad news and frightens people to the point of anger. From a Medical stand point we have two of the most important organs in the body over activated by the continuous barrage of Negative News.

In Chinese Medicine every organ has an emotion connected to it, both Positive and Negative.

Let’s take the Water Element the organ involved is the Kidneys and the emotion for the organ is Fear on the Negative Side and Gentleness on the Positive side. A Kidney imbalance can cause many symptoms.

In both the Male and Female Sexual Function, including the condition of the Sperm, Egg and Libido. Also problems with the Bone Marrow and the Function of the Brain, these all add up to the early signs of Aging.

As for The Wood Element; the Organ involved is the Liver. The Emotion is Anger on the Negative Side and Kindness on the Positive Side.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Liver is the Organ responsible for the Smooth Flow of Emotions as well as Qi and Blood. It is the Organ that is most affected by Excess Stress or Emotions.

When we are bombarded by Negative Energy, that pisses us off, it is definitely a stimulus and gets our Emotions Raging and there is plenty of Energy, but if this Energy isn’t directed properly, negativity will eventually drain you and suck your Energy away.
