Use Stress To Your Advantage: Turn It Into Power

Zend Mind Space is a new center that opened up in Ft. Lauderdale. They invited me to lecture to their group on stress management. It’s probably a subject that you’ve heard many times. You may have even gone to a few stress workshops yourself.

But this one was different. It was a workshop on how to change your stress into power. There are certain rules that I live by:

  1. I will not allow anyone – even God – to lay a guilt trip on me.
  2. I cannot attract more than I can handle.
  3. Anything that is taken away from me – will be replaced on a higher level.

What that means in essence is that you are in charge of your own destiny. If there’s anybody steering your boat besides you, you may end up in the rocks.

This workshop went on for three hours. And the group was very diverse. There was a professional gambler, a researcher from the university, a psychologist, a massage therapist, a doctor, a yoga instructor and a few house wives. What everyone had in common is that they were all stressed on one level or another.

They exercise, they take vitamins, they do everything they can, but they’re all stressed. They have back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain and a lot of anxiety. In the workshop, Turn Stress Into Power, attendees learned specific exercises, meditations and techniques. By the end of the three hours, everyone felt wonderful.
