De-Stressing, Gargoyles and Evil Spirits.

After a busy day at work I always de-stress myself and make sure I clean off the accumulated *Guei.

*Guei or Gui is Chinese for “Ghost” or “Demon.”  In indigenous Chinese Religion it’s a Troublesome Spirit that roams the world, causing misfortune, illness and death!

People bring their emotional challenges with them when they get treated. It’s important to clear off the Negative Energy; that one gets while working with people that are ill and have negative worries hidden in the dark places of their mind.  If it’s stored, the stale energy will eventually affect your Mental and Physical Health.

When I get home after a long and draining day at work, I often take a walk or bike ride around my neighborhood; to clear my body and also my mind.

The other day I noticed that all the houses down the street from me, had
Gargoyles all around them. I found it a bit strange and creepy, to be honest. I have seen one or two Gargoyles at peoples houses and on buildings, but never an entire city block with them; on every house! Some even had them on both sides of their driveways, others on their porch, and quite a few on their roof.

Strange?

Maybe there is a Cult of Gargoyles collectors, but for sure; there is something weird on that block!

I asked a guy who was standing on his front porch, “Why all the Gargoyles man?” He told me that a neighbor down the street put his up on it, years ago. All the others followed suit and did the same. He said, “I don’t believe in Evil Spirits, but I am not willing to take a chance, so I got one!”

Gargoyles were commonly used in medieval times. Their main purposes was to scare off evil. The word “Gargoyle” originates from the old French word, “Gargouille” meaning “throat.” Gargoyles are said to protect what they guard, such as a church; from any evil or harmful Spirits.

The primary use of the gargoyle was to illustrate evil through the form of the gargoyle, while another theory theorizes that grotesques in architecture were apotropaic devices. Sometimes the use of the gargoyles illustrated Pagan beliefs to reflect the unique cultural history.

Humans all have a Belief System that they live by. When we are ready to make changes in our belief system, we step out of our comfort zone and open ourselves up to further growth.

When a patient comes into my office with pain and suffering; they are asking to open up the potential for maximum growth, and leave behind that which no longer serves them. Give us a call and let’s embrace change!

I wish you the best in you Health, Wealth & Happiness!
