I voted! Did you?
Who knows how much longer we will be able to vote in the USA? You may think that statement is ridiculous, but it could happen!
I lived in Venezuela in the eighties; a beautiful country, they had freedom, wealth and beauty, however, within a few years the country was filled with conspiracy theories, greed, evil and a government that was more interested in making a few wealthy!
They allowed people suffer in so many ways. Now they can’t even afford to feed their own, they didn’t take the right to vote serious enough and without a war or a fight they lost their country!
It’s sad and it could happen here!
At least 40% to 90% of American voters stay home during elections, evidence that low voter turnout for both national and local elections is a serious problem throughout the United States.
Some people might be indifferent or simply not care, but many who forgo voting have excuses why they can’t or didn’t vote. There are people out there who want you to keep your mouth shut.
Here are some of the reasons people don’t vote. Voter suppression:
Some are trying to diminish participation in voting for their own purpose and it’s not for your good. In the USA 25 states have adopted measures specifically aimed at making voting more difficult.
One of the parties have purposely created confusion and uncertainty about how to initially register and there is a fear that you will be harassed at there voting polls.
Another set of people have decided to forgo voting because they think it doesn’t matter anyway or the city or state they live in make it too difficult to vote.
I am sure there are a lot more excuses and the Big players are counting on you not voting.
Don’t fall for it VOTE!
If we don’t care, our right to vote will disappear before we know it!
Take the responsibility for your Independence, Freedom and Right to vote; for whomever you want to lead us into a more harmonious world.
