Staying Grounded In Turbulent Times.

On the first of the year; I needed to Renew my home owner’s insurance. I spoke with the home inspector and he came out to go over all the details with me. First he went up on the roof, then squeezed his way into the crawl space under the house to look around, plus checked all the appliances, made sure that all the running water and plumbing worked. Just when I thought he was all done, he looked at my Electrical Box and said that it was around 25 years old and needed to be “brought up to code.”
It seems that years ago the grounding posts were made of aluminum and they can melt, spark and easily start a fire.

It’s always a good idea to fix a problem before it happens. Growing up I heard the term, “Prevent is better than cure.” I can definitely apply that here.

I called my Electrician and he came over to assess, process and gave me an estimate. The price was affordable so I gave him the green light to proceed a.s.a.p! Saturday morning, bright and early the crew was knocking on my door. He went to work immediately; changing all the old electrical breakers inside and out. I though it was going to be a 3-hour job, but he and his apprentice didn’t finish until 8:30 that evening. For the most part everything went smoothly; It’s just that it takes time to take all the wires out of the box, replace the guts and reconnect everything with new boxes. He discovered that many of the breakers were melted and could have caused a fire!
However we weren’t done yet, there is also a main breaker on the outside that they needed to tackle.
That one was corroded and the house needed to be grounded. He put in two ground rods and ran a loop that went to the water pipes; that grounded everything.
Now my home is in tip top shape when it comes to electricity!
I was thinking about what he did, and I know that if we are not grounded in our Lives, Practices and Meditations, we can easy loose touch in our work, as well as our Spiritual Life. When starting a Practice of Meditation, Qi Gong balance is most important!

I was thinking how important it is to have everything grounded in one’s life. That’s where our Power comes from!

“Get grounded = More Power + More Energy!”

Our Energy Field is in Relationship with the Entire Cosmos and if it isn’t grounded we will feel spacey and out of balance.

How do you get back to your Center?

Relax by bringing your attention into your feet; right where you stand. You can plant your awareness into the Earth, take a breath and place your attention on the bottom of your feet at the kidney one.

(Kidney 1) Location: On the sole, in the depression when the foot is in plantar flexion, approximately at the anterior third and the posterior two thirds of the line; from the web between the 2nd and 3rd toes – to the back of the heel) this will start to move your awareness out of your head and begin to get you back in to your body.
