Back in August of 2007, I was doing an Acupuncture and Medical Qi Gong Session on my good friend; Matt Furey.
Matt is a National, and World Title Holder in Kung Fu. I remember him telling me the importance of connecting the mind to your muscles.
What he was talking about was “getting inside” your muscles, as you train and going beyond mere exercise, to give yourself every advantage possible; in your training.
He went on to say, “It has to do with having a set purpose and a goal in your every move and in your practice. If you’re just going through the moves without a set purpose, you’re not really training”.
This is paramount when practicing Qi Gong. The Inner movement of the Qi, as well as the focused breathing, makes all the difference in practice. You can always tell if a person has Internal Power or if they are just moving without any grounding.
I use the same principles when I am working on a patient, Doing a Meditation or in my Internal Qi Gong Practice.
Internal practices need to be trained into the Mind
and Muscle, so the Energy can flow un-obstructed.
When I treat a patient, I use many different Modalities; depending on what is called for, at the time.
A combination of Acupuncture, Chinese Medical Qi Gong or it could be an Adjustment to the Body’s Structure and Alignment. In Chinese Medicine we call that “Tui Na” a combination of Structural Manipulation with Massage. I have found that a combination of Natural Remedies with Ozone, work like magic; on pain with no side effects. The goal is to make sure everything is in good working order and the pathways are clear, so one can continue their life with no-obstructions.
