The Cosmic Shower of Power

The Cosmic shower of Power

These cold night when the sky is clear if you look
up to the heavens and chances you’ll see a
shooting stars that quickly shoot across the sky,
but they are not really stars. A shooting star is
really a small piece of rock or dust that hits
Earth’s atmosphere from space. It moves so fast
that it heats up and glows as it moves through the
atmosphere. Shooting stars are actually what
astronomers call meteors. Most meteors burn up in
the atmosphere before they reach the ground.
However, once in a while a meteor is large enough
than some of it survives and reaches Earth’s
surface. Then it is called a meteorite.
Meteors can occur at any time on any night and
appear in any part of the sky. On a dark, moonless
night you might see a half dozen of these meteors
per hour. However, whenever Earth encounters a
stream of gritty debris left in space by a passing
comet, the result is a meteor shower. For the last
few days the Quadrntids meteor shower was visible
with up to 40 meteors per hour. I was looking up
at the sky, but with the full moons bright light
they were hard to see. If you are patient, you
should be able to catch some of the bright ones

Back in the 80’s one of the first stupas in the
northern western hemisphere was built at Rudy’s
ashram in Big Indian, NY, The construction and
development involved many individuals and
communities from around the country who
volunteered their time, love and energies to bring
this project to fruition. I was lucky enough to be
one of those people to work on the heart chakra of
that temple.

“A Stupa is an energy generator
“Stupas… demonstrate the triumph of
enlightenment’s wisdom over suffering’s ignorance.
They are memorials… to the possibility of freedom
from suffering for all beings. They signal the
triumphal reality of a nature that enables beings
to evolve to experience the ultimate fulfilment of
perfect bliss, beyond death and unsatisfying life.
Stupas stand as eloquent testimony to the higher
purpose of life, beyond competing or struggling,
getting or spending. Consciously or subliminally,
they help turn people’s minds away from their
frustrating obsessions and towards their own
higher potential”

(Professor Robert Thurman, from the Foreword to
Buddhist Stupas in Asia: the Shape of Perfection).

and in the center of the big Indian Stupa is a

*A purba (Tibetan: phur ba.is a three edge peg or
daggers usually made from metal or wood. The best
of the metal ones are constructed of meteorite
The dagger was placed at the center chamber of the
Stupa and act as an antenna to radiate energy.
