Happy New Year! The first Full Moon January 1st.of
2018 is named the howling wolves by the Native
American. The full moon is in the sign Cancer. The
moon is at home in the sign of Cancer. She is
emotional, loves being around family, home and
it’s a good time to heal from old wounds, as
cancers are good healers. Cancer is a water sign
and the moon effects the tides and although there
is a lot of emotion, it’s also a good time to
create something new.

The Wolf Moon is also a Supermoon. A Super moon
happens when the full moon coincides with the
moon’s closest approach to Earth in its orbit.
Supermoons make the moon appear a little brighter
and closer than normal, although the difference is
hard to spot with the naked eye.

The Wolves figure prominently in the mythology of
nearly every Native American tribe. In most Native
cultures, Wolf is considered a medicine being
associated with courage, strength, loyalty, and
success at hunting. Like bears, wolves are
considered closely related to humans..

The following Full Moon is also in January, on
the 31. It’s a Blue Moon. However, this particular
Blue Moon will likely look red in some areas,
because it will cause a total lunar eclipse, also
known as a Blood Moon. So get ready for a lot of
energy the entire month of January
