Qi gong, Recharging Qi Gong

How To Get The Qi Flowing Correctly

Today, with all the emphasis on being in optimum health, many
people are pushing their bodies to extremes. When you push your
body to extremes, and you do it too often, you can end up
injuring yourself. I see a lot of this on a daily basis in the
clinic.

One of the big problems with injuries and overtraining is that
people aren’t taking adequate time to heal. This in turn makes
small injuries worse, and big ones really painful. It also can
set your body up for more injuries, and in different places.

Believe me, you don’t want to be in a situation where you have
multiple injuries.

Multiple injuries lead to putting your entire system out of
whack. You can experience physical and mental trauma, sprains,
strains, and stress that is very unhealthy.

You can have pain, swelling, stiffness, limited range of motion, and fatigue. Your energy system is getting pinched and punched, and your Qi is not flowing through your meridians as
it should.

As a result, your body is not being nourished  as well as it
could be.

Whenever you train, and whatever way you train, you must pay attention to your bodies warning signs. Whenever you experience pain, your body is sending you a clear signal, and it isn’t “reach for painkillers.” It is saying stop and rest.

In my practice I don’t use any drugs or painkillers.

I train people how to use internal exercises, (Qi Gong), and I
use acupuncture to help them become healthy and pain free.

My youngest son trained heavily in internal Qi Gong, and high
mountain bike racing for months, before competing in a 108 mile
bike race known as the Show Low Bluff. Much of the race takes
place at altitudes of 7000 feet or more before descending
through the Ponderosa pine forest into trails of sharp rock,
and then mud.

Then you have to consider wind, rain, and temperatures that get
very low. All in all, it is a very brutal competition.

He had to carry his bike the last eight miles because you
couldn’t peddle in the mud. He said, “Dad, I had two choices. I
could go forward, or backward. It’s always better to go
forward.”

He thought about those last eight miles, and he went forward,
all the way to the finish line, where he was declared the
winner.

He did it step by excruciating step, and finished what he
started. It was a big challenge, and he was up to it, and I
congratulated him. YOU did it!

But then he rested. It was well over two weeks before he did
any training whatsoever. And then he resumed with only light
exercise for another couple of weeks. My son is still a young
man, but he knows his body’s limits, when to push it, as in
this race, and when to rest it, as he did upon completion.

Everyone needs to train properly before they test their limits.

Everyone needs to listen to what their body is telling them,
and if your body sends a message that something is wrong, you
very well need to heed it before injury occurs.

Recharging Qi Gong will help you immensely in whatever sport
you compete in, and even if you do not. The benefits of
channeling energy would need pages to list.
