Drive by my house and you can see flags are flying high over my front gate sending major blessings as they blow in the cold wind, and I mean cold, Its damn cold, 45 degrees here in Miami Beach and that’s impossibly cold for Miami Beach!

You may be wondering how flags are sending blessings to me and why did I hang them up in the first place?

These are special flags from Tibet that are said to bring happiness, long life and prosperity.

These flags are not Thee Flag of Tibet or any other country, they are Prayer Flags.

The Prayer Flags are inscribed with auspicious symbols, invocations, prayers, and mantras.

Tibetan Buddhists for centuries have flown these flags outside their homes for the wind to carry the beneficent vibrations across their lands.

The 5 different colors represent the five elements and the prints bear traditional Buddhist symbols, protectors and enlightened beings.

I practice my Qi Gong in the yard and can see the colorful flags blowing in the wind as I train. It’s one of the things I do to remind me of my spiritual practices as I train.

The movement of the flags reminds me to be more flexible in body and mind.

The color white represents the lungs and the metal element; it brings in the positive emotion of Valor.

The red, fire element reminds me to open my Heart.

The blue is the water element; it brings fluidity into my every movement.

Yellow is the color of the earth element and helps me keep grounded.

The green represents the wood element brings kindness into my being.
