I have been writing to you for the last month or
so about Professor Jerry Alan Johnson. He is the
Master that I have heard about back in 2000 and
finally met him in person at the International Qi
Gong Conference. He wrote that big book on Medical
Qi Gong practices and meditations and had many
other books on martial arts. I was impressed, to
say the least. At that time, I had no idea that I
would be studying with him years later. My root
Lama spoke of Dr. Johnson with great regard and
often said that if he had the chance, he would be
one of his students.
In 2005, the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture
invited him to teach a year-long program in Miami.
As soon as I got wind of it, I enrolled. Let me
tell you that the program changed my life and
practice forever. At that time, I was practicing
Qi Gong for about 20 years, mostly the Flying
Crane Qi Gong style, and I could feel the Qi
running through my channels with no problem. I
was projecting my Qi when I did acupuncture but
needed more training to refine and direct more
energy without burning myself out or sucking in
any patient’s sickness or negative energy.
Dr. Johnson’s program fit me like a glove. He is
an exciting teacher and a Master of Medical Qi
Gong. I took the first year course and immediately
signed up for the advanced teachings for the

the masters program and finally took the doctoral
program. Now, I practice in Miami, Florida and I
am licensed in China as a Doctor of Medical Qi
Gong. I found out that the International Institute

Daoist Magic directly from the Daoist priests. To
my surprise, I learned that Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson
was an 85th-degree lineage holder of the oldest
monastery in China. The trip to China unlocked
many doors for those of us who were fortunate
enough to go. I discovered that Dr. Johnson was
also a Master of Nei Gong as well. When we
returned to the States, I continued flying back to
California to study Daoist Magic with Dr. Johnson
and learn more about spirits and entities that
affect our mental and emotional states. This is
one of the practices that is hardly ever taught
outside of the monastery but Dr. Johnson shares
these most inner secret teachings. He’ll be in
Florida on the 25th of July for a 3-day seminar. I
