In the early 80’s, I first learned Qi Gong from a
Chinese master, he didn’t speak a word of English
but was an incredible teacher and I have been
practicing ever since.
I practiced twice or three times a day for years
and eventually began teaching. My practice became
rock solid, I could feel the Qi coursing through
my entire body opening up the channels and
actually changing my energy. It felt like a
rewiring of my meridians and chakras, my internal
system went from the power of a 9-volt battery to
the powerhouse of 220 volts power source.
Years later I moved to Miami and continued to
teach and practice, but I knew there was more to
be gained.
I asked inside to have more energy, I knew I
needed to increase my Qi flow to work on patients
and at the same time be protected from absorbing
negative energy.
My practice was good and as I increased my
training time, my energy began to grow by leaps
and bounds as I trained but I needed to be able to
direct Qi more masterfully.
“They say when the student is ready, the teacher
will appear” and sure enough he did!
Professor Jerry Alan Johnson came to Miami to
teach Medical Qi Gong at the 5 Element Acupuncture
School around 10 years ago and I registered as
soon as I heard about it.
He’s a Grand Master, the founder and executive
director of the International Institute of Medical
Qi Gong. I began studying with him and completed
the practitioners program, than the masters and
finally the doctors in Medical Qi Gong. In 2006
Dr. Johnson and the students and teachers of the
International Institute of Medical Qi gong were
invited to the Mao Shan monastery in China, for
their 900th birthday celebration and to study
Daoist magic and misaims. I was lucky enough to
travel with him and the group, to begin my formal
studies in Esoteric Taoist Mysticism at the Mao
Shan monastery.
