Gettin’ Ready for The Turkey Trot

Gettin Ready for The Turkey Trot

Whether you are planning on serving Turkey or
Turducken, the holidays are just around the
corner, which means I usually flying to back to my
old hood, again- Motown, the Motor City, where the
nitty hits the gritty.
But this year the Turkey eats will be in Miami. I
was in Detroit a few weeks ago and it was cold
and rainy and I am not going to visit again until
the Detroit Dream Cruz next August. The Turkey day
feast with family will be in Sunny Florida if they
come south or not. For most of us The Big Eat and
the football game is the activity of the day.

That’s the good part.

Don’t be a Turkey take care of your Health

Here are a couple of recommendations to try and
stave off the holiday bugs.

1) Take plenty of Vitamin C and start now! I take
four to six grams per day in fact twice a day
would even be better. .
2) If you are flying home drink a lot of water
before boarding and while you are in the air. (I
know you all have to use the restroom, but it’s
better than getting sick and skip the coffee on
the day you fly.
3) Get up early and workout before your flight and
make sure you do some deep breathing exercises.
4) Dress in layers so you can add or peel if you
get hot or cold.

Hours and hours on a plane can also cause your
body to have aches and pains. The most common are
backaches and neck pain but you can have myriad of
other problems as well. I beat this by getting up
early and doing the Recharging Qigong exercises.

The three exercises that I use are a. The Instant
Power Reset, b. the Head Rotation,
and c. The Neck Brace. This combination helps
avoid any jet lag.

Include the Ankle Rotation, or Toe Rotation, if
you have poor circulation.

If you want to beat jet lag, I follow these rules.

1) No hooch. It dries you out.
2) Limit the java. It causes nervousness,
anxiety, and insomnia.
3) Drink plenty of water. Don’t wait until you
are thirsty.

If you are in Miami, come see me and get an Energy
Balancing treatment. and then get yourself some
natural sunlight, which helps balance the body.

Do your Recharging Qigong exercises in the sun,
which will help your body recover quickly.
