The Power Of Your Thoughts And Actions

Whatever you choose to focus your attention on
will get you more of it. Whatever you think about
the most will come to you. If you dwell on good
things, you will expand your appreciation for them
which will amplify and impact your life. On the
other hand, if you focus on the negative, that’s
what you will attract.

I have a patient that always complains about her
situation even when things are good. She worries
that it will not last. Although she doesn’t come
into the office anymore, she writes me at least
once a week to give me her organ recital. Last
month, it was her swollen cheeks and sore knee. A
few weeks ago, it was her sore toe. Today, it was
insomnia. There is never a good day! When I
explained that she is focusing on the wrong
things, always the pitfalls of life and never
being grateful for what she has, she always
answered with “Yes, but…” before she goes on
about her gloom-and-doom situation. If you think
of everything you lack, you will receive evidence
of how true that really is. If you dwell on the
good things you already have, you will expand your
appreciation for all their blessings.

The students and patients I see on a regular basis
are open to the new and are grateful for
everything they have. We focus on it in every
class and every treatment we do. But, it takes two
to Tango – treatments and the practice. I have
everyone practicing Qi Gong at least a few
exercises daily.
