A Fall detox cleanse will help to eliminate
seasonal colds, keep your immune system healthy,
and prepare your organs for the colder months
ahead. A Fall detox is all about the lungs and the
large intestine. These organs are linked to skin
and breathing problems like asthma, eczema, rashes
and dry skin. The emotions linked to the Metal
element are sadness and grief.
Heads up, everyone. Start limiting sugars, flours,
dairy and alcohol. Add fenugreek tea to your diet
and start using more warming spices in your food
like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves—the spices of
the season. The best juices to be drinking this
Fall are apple, carrot, beet, and grape, and add
some greens like kale and spinach.
Here is one of my favorite Fall detox juice
1 medium beet
1 large apple
1 cup fresh kale or Spanish leaves
Place all ingredients in the juicer or blender.
And, here’s one my favorite soups for this time of
Pumpkins, squash, sweet potato soup
2 sweet potatoes
1 butternut squash, large
1 small organic pumpkin or 2 cans pumpkin puree
2 cups coconut water
1/2 can organic coconut milk
Heavy duty blender
1. Put all the veggies in the oven and bake at 350
F for 45 minutes, or until soft.
2. Remove from the oven, cut and take the skins

water if it’s too thick.
5. Add ¼ cup of coconut milk.
6. Put in spices while blending: pumpkin pie
spice, nutmeg and cinnamon to taste.
7. Garnish with pomegranate seeds.
• Note the soup should be of same consistency as
creamy pudding, and serve hot with the cold
pomegranates on top.
