Why I Have Chinese Fu Dogs At My Front Door

Why I Have Chinese Fu Dogs At My Front Door

When I was in China, I noticed that there were Fu
Dog statues in the entrance of banks, hospitals,
hotels, and gardens. I thought they were just a
Chinese decoration, but I learned that they were
much more than an ornament and they are all over
Asia. When you see Fu dogs, there are always two
of them, Mama and Papa, Yin and Yang according to
Feng Shui principals.

Fu Dogs are an extremely powerful protection for
your home and business. In Feng Shui, Fu Dogs are
the most essential for protection. They are also
known as guardian lions, lion dogs, or temple
lions. If you didn’t know it, Feng shui is
an
ancient art and science developed over three
thousand years ago in China. It is a complex body
of knowledge that teaches how to balance the
energies in any given space, be it for your home,
office, or garden. The intention is to bring in
good fortune to people’s home, improve
health,
bring one more success, enhance one’s
career, and
improve relationships.

If you are lucky enough to get a pair of Fu Dogs,
where do you place the pups? For protection, you
should place a pair of Fu Dogs at your front door.
As with all Feng Shui cures and enhancers, you
should make sure you cleanse those dogs now and
then. I usually clean mine four times a year

summer, winter, spring and fall. By doing this,
you cleanse them of negative energy and empower
them with positive chi. The male lion, holding a
ball under his left or right paw, should be placed
on the left side (as you are looking out of a
door). The female lion, holding a cub under her
right or left paw, is placed on the right side.
