Anger Will Affect Your Heart

Anger Will Affect Your Heart

Last Friday evening, a group of my old friends met
at one of Florida’s national landmarks. Cap’s is
the oldest restaurant in Broward County, Florida.
Back in the 1920’s in the Florida swamps, Cap
Knight, Lola Knight and Al Hasis brought together
a group of wooden shacks attached to an old barge
which was floated up the present-day intra-coastal
waterway from Miami to its location on Cap’s
Island. This was a rum-running restaurant and
gambling casino, nestled on an island in the
coastal marsh. During the Prohibition in 1919, Cap
became involved in the profitable business of rum
running. He was picking up whiskey in the Bahamas,
about fifty miles from Florida, and brought it
back to his place. This location was ideal because
of its isolation, easy access to the Atlantic
Ocean, and protection by heavy vegetative growth.
The restaurant today has the same vibes as the
days of old.

The four of us took the short boat ride out to the
island and were sitting in the bar, waiting for
the other couple to arrive. Around forty-five
minutes later, they showed up and they both had
their nickers in a twist. The woman was driving
and her man was the navigator. For an hour or so,
they were yelling at each other trying to find the
place. I guess they didn’t realize it was on an
island, and the only way to get there was to swim,
or hop on the boat. By the time they arrived at
the restaurant, they were sending poison darts at
each other and wouldn’t even sit next to each
other.

When anger comes up, it affects the liver and
throws the entire body off. The emotion of the
liver is anger and it is part of the wood element.
Excess wood will stoke the fire element, causing
problems with the heart, sleep, and itchy skin. He
can’t sleep, and she has had itching on and off
for years. I am sure their digestion wasn’t
working very well either. I describe them as a hot
mess, and that’s not a medical term. Both of them
know that I work with issues like this, but they
were too embarrassed to ask even one question, so
I didn’t say a word.

One of the reasons I train and practice the
internal exercises is to be able to transform
emotions into usable energy to keep me healthier
and younger. Learn these longevity practices and
you will stay younger, healthier and happier for
all your years. Start with the Recharging Qi Gong
program and, in no time, you will be stronger,
healthier, happier and filled with energy.
