I was talking to my cousin Susie today.
She told me that she made two pies and brought
them to friend’s houses for Christmas.
Suzy, “I didn’t know you inherited that pie maken
gene from Grandma”.

I told her about a story that I heard years ago from
my Dad about pies.
It was back in the time of the great depression.
My grandmother was a great cook and an even better baker
she made everything. Home made noodles from scratch, cakes,
cookies and everyone loved her pies, they were the very best,
lemon, cherry, blueberry, pumpkin and apple you name it
Grandma made it.

The family lived in Michigan and one cold, snowy, winter
day just around this time of the year my Grandma made a
few of her famous pies and placed them on the windowsill
to cool.

As fait would have it, one flipped over and landed in the
new fallen snow.

What a Bummer!

In our lives there is so much we see spill, tip over, or break
and some of us see only the lost pie in the snow.

I had a patient call me and say.” I am going into the hospital
to treat my depression. It’s really bad. Saw a shrink and he’s
throwing pills at me – but they’re not doing anything and he’s
a fortune. I have to go somewhere that can remedy this.
I feel that I am being stuck in the same place without the
tools to dig my way out.” I am not sure I can hang on.
I am really feeling hopeless.

Well I know from experience that our lives are a series of
lessons to be learn. If we get up-set, bent-out-of-shape and
it effects our health in all three bodies physically, mental
and spiritual.

If the lesson isn’t learned, most likely we’ll have to repeat
it over and over again, until we learn it.
When it feels like a “crisis of death”, it is most likely akin
to a “crisis in birth.”

There are always ways to dig your pie out of the snow.
All it takes is the right coaching and education.

My dad and both of my uncles ran out side with spoons
in hand and didn’t let a bit go to waste.

I wish you the Best in your Health, Wealth and Happiness

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jerold wrote and asked me to explain to him what he can
expect from doing Qi Gong and internal exercises.
He said he did a weekend workshop and thought it was all some
Big Hype.
He said he felt that the instructor was more filled with himself and had no real Qi.

Jerold, some Qi Gong masters and teachers have the real goods and others have a good
intensions.
I don’t judge them but it takes more than a weekend to get the goods.

“Keep on Practicing”

There two keys

1. The teaching

2. Is the practice

If you don’t do both, It ’s like a bird who only has one wing. It doesn’t fly half the distance, he will just flop along the ground. You need both wings to fly.

I have been practicing for more than 30 years.
When I first learned Qi Gong, most of my friends and fellow students never really took
notice of of the practice.
The hard core Martial Arts people thought it was BS.

They looked at me like I was crazy – practicing so many hours a day and not showing any
outwardly visible skills.

Were they wrong.

I have no health problems, I look at least 10 to 15 years younger than my peers and I take no medicine.

Why? The key is the practice.

Every time I run into an old Martial arts person all they talk about is how much pain
they are in, their knee injuries, shoulder injuries and how beat up their hands
and feet are from breaking boards and bricks.

They really didn’t really get what internal exercises would have given them.
Twelve important benifits for your health and longivity that you can acheive by practicing
The Recharging Qi Gong exercises.

1. Helps dissolve stress naturally

2. Calms high blood pressure without drugs as it balances cardiovascular system.
Also it will normalized blood pressure, and lower bad cholesterol levels.

3. Promotes health and longevity. Your vital capacity, hormone levels, kidney function,
mental acuity, vision and hearing, skin elasticity, bone density, immune function,
digestion, and libido will perk up.

4. It releives chronic pain, people report significant pain reduction from all causes, including injury,
surgery, arthritis, fibromyalgia.

5. Improved flexibility, strength, musculoskeletal development, great posture,
balance, and stamina.

6. Slimming effect on body and spinal toning

7. Promotes relaxing as it calms the body and mind

8. Clears out mental troubles as it balances the mind

9. Encourage a better respiratory rate, improves gaseous exchange, significant benefits
for asthma & bronchitis

10. Circulation improves, micro-circulation, prevents vascular spasms, very helpful for
angina, migraine, and Reynaud’s Syndrome (cold hands & feet)

11. Builds a strong Immune System, with a significant
anti-cancer effect

12. Brain improves cerebral blood flow, less incidence of stroke; reduction in frequency
and intensity of seizure disorders; slow, high amplitude brainwaves suggest relaxed
and integrated state of consciousness.
These are just a few of the health benefits, if you build in the habit of regular practice.
There are also many major benefits in energy, meditation practices and the Payback

you’ll get in the Martial practices are too awesome to talk about at this time.

Gung Hei Fat Choi!

Happy Chinese New Year!

This is the beginning of the year of the metal Tiger.
Metal is one of the five Taoist elements.
It’s the white Tiger year and it’s Valentine’s Day.

Sweet!

The Tigers in Chinese medicine is the animal ruling
the metal element, the organs are the lungs and the
large intestines, and the color is pure white.
People born under the sign of the Tiger have
personalities that are associated with creativity,
doing lots of projects, loving children and are
protected by the Archangel Michael.

It’s said that people born under the sign of
the tiger unusually makes people feel at home
and are good protector, have qualities of royalty,
wealth, inspiration, and are fearless.
They bring good luck to people and they have bounds
of sexual energy, with a large sexual appetite.
But be careful as they are very territorial and
will bit if you mess with their mate.
A Tiger demands a lot of attention from a partner,
but when given enough love and support can turn into
a gentle pussy cat. They are winners; their model is
“I will finish first”.

The people I know that are tigers have great strength
are extremely smart, and straightforward.
If you were born in 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962,
1974, 1986, 1998 or 2010 you’re a tiger
and one of the most compassionate and kind signs
in the Chinese zodiac.
According to tradition a tiger year is associated
with massive change, so get ready.
Flexibility is the Key here.
This year we can look forward to a dynamic year of
sudden opportunities and bold actions.
Expect massive social change, political rebellion,
and military coups all over the world.

It’s the perfect time to detoxify your lungs and
large intestine. Do your breathing exercises every
morning and stay away from junk food.
Eat organic as much as possible and drink lots of
clean fresh water.

I am doing more of the percussive breathing
and the internal stomach lifts.
In fact I am going to make a short video and put
it on “You Tube” so you can see what I am talking
about.
http://www.youtube.com/drwudhi
But if you want the real goods, pounce like a Tiger on
this great opportunity and become a member of the
Qi Gong Inner Circle. Make it I gift to yourself
in celebration of the Tiger Year
www.Qigonginnercircle.com .
For a limited time It’s still only a $1 to join
and if you don’t dig it, nothing lost.
Join today and you’ll be on the conference call
tomorrow night with the members.

I usually only share the Top Secret info with the members,
but today is Chinese New Year, so here’s a bit of inside
info.
According to legend, sacred tigers live 1000 years.
Half way through life at age 500, they turn pure white.
Tigers scare off thieves, and ghosts.
The Fearless Tiger is a powerful totem animal to
contact in the shamanic realm to assist in
banishments and purifications.
Tiger magic is luckiest for those born in Tiger,
Horse, Dog, and Pig years. Only the clever Monkey
is not compatible with the ways of the Tiger.

I have big plans tonight to welcome in the year of the
White Tiger with meditations and ritual foods.
I’ll share more on the call tomorrow night at 8:00 EST
only with the members.

a record breaker. Miami Beach is warmer 29 but with that breeze coming off the ocean its dam cool at my house.

Never the less I was up early walked down to
the beach and did my TRAINING AS USUAL.
The Recharging Qi Gong exercises increases power,
warms the kidneys and gives you more sexual strength
and if one gets all that, who wouldn’t want to train.
www.rechargingqigong.com

“He who fails to train, Trains to fail”.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, the kidneys
are responsible for our growth, development, reproduction,
bone marrow production, temperature regulation, the
function of brain and spinal cord, controls the strength
of bones, and fluid metabolism. If your kidneys are deficient
you could have signs and symptoms which will include:

Exhaustion, feeling cold all the time, swollen face,
swollen extremities, memory loss, hair loss, hearing
problems, decreased sexual drive, brittle bones,
teeth problems, sore back and knees, frequent pale
urination, incontinence, high blood pressure, low
sperm count, infertility, hypothyroidism, asthma,
impotence, difficult bowel movements.
You can see why the kidneys are so important to keep strong.
One of the keys to longevity is to keep the kidneys strong.

I have been telling you about Shou Wu Chih in my blog.
You know the Chinese tonic to keep your kidneys warm.

(Look at November 19th, 2009
“Keeping the Kidneys warm all winter”
www.Drwudhi.com

I have been drink it since late fall to prepare my system
for the cold and keep my energy at its best.

A few days ago when I heard that the artic freeze was
coming my way, I got all the goodies ready to make a
tonifying ginseng chicken soup.
Here is the formula,Enjoy!

Ingredients
1 small black chicken
(you can find a black chicken at the
Chinese grocery store)
5 slices of ginger about the size of a quarter
and ¼ of an inch thick
3 or 4 Tsp. Shou Wu Chih
10 Chinese red dates
1 pieces of dried ginger
2 or 3 pieces of garlic
½ package of the thin ginseng root
(they look like thick twigs and come
with a string around them)

Seasonings:
2 tsp sea salt
5 tbsp rice wine
A splash of sesame seed oil

Directions:
1. Wash and clean the black chicken
( I soak the chicken in salt water
for a few hours to pull out toxins)
2. Peel the ginger and garlic
3. Rinse the ginseng root, and red dates
4. Place the black chicken in a large pot
and add the ginseng root, Shou Wu Chih,
red dates, ginger and garlic.
Add enough water to cover the ingredients.
5. Bring the pot of water to a hardy boil.
6. Lower to low heat and simmer the soup for
about 2 hours
7. Remove from heat and add the seasonings before serving

Today I had 3 bowels already and I’ll have another one
for dinner. Yum!

My entire body is warm. I Train Hard and I am Chocked
full of energy.

Keep training Hard!

Although it seemed like just yesterday, it was
about 20 years ago when I was living on a small
island in the middle of the South Pacific.
Maui.
Every Autumn, the Asian community observed
a six-day celebration the Higan-e.

For three days before and three days after the
Equinox, the Six day ritual is used to recognize
the six perfections
• Generosity
• Observance of the Precepts
• Perseverance
• Effort
• Meditation
• Wisdom

There is a saying in the Orient that,
a person needs all six before he
goes from this shore of Samsara
(The endless cycle of suffering caused
by birth death)
and re-birth to the further shore or Nirvana.
(The transcendent state free from suffering
and individual phenomenal existence),
the literal meaning is ‘other shore.’

The ritual includes repentance of past sins
and prayers for enlightenment in the next life.
The Performance of positive deeds, which are superior
to those practiced at any other time and
making offerings to ancestors. These good deeds
become a great blessing enabling us to reach
“the other shore.”

The Autumnal Equinoxes,
are the most temperate times of the year.
Ideal for reflecting on the meaning
of life.

Ancestral practices aren’t part
of Western Culture, but
when trying to shift directions
in my life and things seem impossible
to accomplish, I focus my meditation on
my ancestors and call on them for help
and guidance, to put me on the right path.

Autumn begins on September 22, 2009 @
21:34 GMT when the day and night are equal
in length.

In the Chinese system it symbolizes the element of
metal and represents the lungs,
large intestine and the skin.

Emotionally speaking, this phase is about letting
go of grief, sadness, old attachments and
emotional baggage.

On the positive side the metal element brings
in Valor, Courage and Moving Forward in ones life.

That’s exactly what I am focusing on.
I have some new and exciting products to
introduce that you’ll be able to get this fall.

Inside we know, when it’s time to begin something new

You don’t have to be told when it is,

You just know it’s time to start something and you do.

No matter if it is to change your diet, loose weight, buy a new wardrobe,

you know when it’s that moment in time.

The same thing happens in nature; birds fly south for the
winter, whales migrate, people fall in love. It usually is some
time around now, when spring finally springs and things come
back to life.

In South Florida, now is that time it corresponds with the
Chinese New Year.

I stared the year of the Ox by planting my Incredible Fung Shui
Garden.

This is no ordinary garden as it incorporates the teachings of
the magic square, the ancient art of Fung Shui and the internal
workings of Qi Gong

This type of garden yields more than just food.

It packs a punch of Qi into every bite of the food.

The internal Qi Gong works the terrain to cultivated and activated powerful fuel for
our system.

It increases:
* The Qi of the land and food
*         Provides additional nutrition
*         Superior taste
*         The color is richer.

More Qi means more energy and more vitality!

It is the same when you are doing Qi Gong exercises. You set up
your internal terrain to be more fertile and to produce more
powerful Qi.

First be sure to set up a sacred space inside (like the ones I
talk about in the Qi Gong Inner Circle)
http://www.Qigonginnercircle.com

Here are a few pointers: Set up a practice time and stick with
it. Dedicate your practice to something or some one.

And in no time, your energy, vitality and Qi move off the
charts.

Last night I came home after sundown and the whole house was completely dark. Instead of turning on the lights I lit a candle. I never do this sort of thing but the house seemed so quiet and peaceful I wanted to just sit.

I spent the majority of the night in contemplative meditation.

We are in the Winter Solstice and it is an excellent time to take time to be quiet and reflect on the past year.

I recommend doing this for yourself as a matter of personal care.

With all the crazy energy around the holidays and year-end you want to make sure that you cool-out and recollect yourself before you burn-out.

Once you do I think you will find that the rush of the holidays and year-end quiets down and you can refocus on those things that are most important.

In Chinese medicine Winter is associated with the element Water.

Water energy has the attributes of:

Cold

Damp

Quiet

Stillness

Calmness

Smoothness

Listening

The Kidney organ and meridian

This energy is available in the atmosphere throughout the winter. Just slow down, sit quietly in a natural place and pull in the atmosphere.

Winter Water energy is also associated with a special type of Awareness that, from Chinese to English, best translates as Alert Stillness.

In the Chinese Medicine system we use animal associations to signify these types of energy, and as such, the animal for the water element and organ of the Kidney is the Deer.

The Deer is chosen because it is a master of Alert Stillness.

When you think of a deer you think of an animal that is impossible to sneak up on. The slightest snap of a twig and the thing has disappeared.

This is not the same type of power of a Tiger or a Dragon but it is a type of power that completes us.

In the Ba Gua system of Martial Arts it takes a whole circle of animals to become a Master.

We cannot always Push, Push, Push, sometimes we need to sit, take inventory, and listen to the atmosphere. This is the power in the symbol of the deer and that is the power of this time of year.

So take advantage of this time of solstice when this energy is most powerful and abundant, you will not be able to tap into this energy so easily in other seasons.

Winter, not just the New Year, is the best time to set new plans and goals into action.

Take inventory of what is happening around you.

Upon deep consideration you may see more then before.

Clarity is not achieved when you are rushing or being hasty.

Opening is found in reflection.

Wishing you the best in Health, Wealth and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

PS: This year was one that was filled with many firsts for me that you can still participate in.

This year I launched a new website and started to reach more people that ever before with my blog and email subscriptions. http://drwudhi.com

Soon after I released a complete program on my Health and Vitality practices in a fully illustrated book The Recharging Qi Gong, with additional instruction on DVDs and CDs. http://rechargingqigong.com

While I was finishing the text for the Recharging Qi Gong manual I was deeply engaged in making the Medical Qi Gong Doctoral Program* and Training a reality and now we have an international group of students already midway through this program. *In conjunction with International Institute of Medical Qi Gong the Overseas Collage of Medical Qi Gong Hunan University of Traditional Medicine in China. Must be a Master of Medical Qi Gong to attend.

This year I opened up my practice in Miami and started to take clients from other Doctors and clinics specializing in cancer treatment. Contact me if you would like a treatment at drwudhi@energymedicineflorida.com

The Qi Gong on the Beach Club has been great for me personally as a way to train new people in Qi Gong and work out the details for other current projects that are going into print. We are still doing a few Saturday classes email me if you are in the Miami area and would like to attend drwudhi@energymedicineflorida.com

And just yesterday I announced the Qi Gong Inner Circle. This is by far one of the most exciting things for 2008. Go to http://qigonginnercircle.com and read all about this special training.

When I was a small boy growing up in Detroit my father would come home every day and entertain my brother and me before doing anything else.

We would beg him to stand on his head and my father would always do as we asked.

He loved to stand on his head like a yogi right in the middle of the living room.

Every time he did this coins would fall from his pockets.

My brother and I would scurry around and grab as much loose change as we could while my father pretended to protest from his inverted position.

In truth it was as much fun for him as it was for us.

My father was the youngest of a family of eight and being the baby of that family was always cared for by his siblings even into adulthood.

Life for him was about play and having fun.

My father successfully passed this view of life on to me and my brother.

Even when we would go with him to work at the pawn shop downtown we had fun, maybe even the most fun of all.

The word work and the drudgery that goes along with it never made any sense to me or my brother because of this.

People hate to work but they use this word for stuff that isn’t even work. And did you ever notice that everywhere it does get used people are really serious.

Serious people in the gym are Working Out.
For serious training you go to a Workshop.
When your serious about beauty you call it a Work of art.
If your serious about your Work they say you have Work ethic.
Some even practice Spiritual Work.

I’ve done my best to work and be serious over the years, I really have, but most of the time I can’t help but consider how much fun I’m having.

If I’m not having fun or moving to a higher level of “fun” in the sense of being able to share with others, help others or overcome some adversity, I ain’t interested.

What I’ve learned is that you can’t other peoples work away from them but you can often make it fun.

Sometimes it’s just a matter of reminding ourselves that we’re having fun.

Try it.

The are many situations that are supposed to be fun that we often add tension to and they instantly become serious situations or work.

At these times simply say aloud “This is fun”.

You’ll either break the tension in the room or you’ll actually change the orientation of yourself and others from one of seriousness to one of fun.

If you saw me doing Recharging Qi Gong with my students on the beach I doubt you’d say that looks like a lot of work. It’s actually a lot of fun and it looks like fun too.

Big smiles on everyones face and some occasional laughter is normal.

This is not your usual “Workout” and so far it’s been producing unusual results in those that have gotten the program http://rechargingqigong.com and started to use it.

If you want more vitality and pep in your step I encourage you to make a change.

Go to http://rechargingqigong.com and find out how you can use these simple and gentle movements every day to pump up you Qi power and invigorate your innards.

Wishing you Health, Wealth and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi
