What is Conventional Food doing to your Health?

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Do you know that ONE quarter of the American
population is now eating organic products at least
once a week, although they are saying that the new
organic is local grown produce.

Don’t believe it.

Yup, there are advantages of eating locally grown
fruits and vegetables.

1.The taste, fresher just tastes better
2.It helps the local farmer and local economy
3.It saves on shipping costs

I don’t know how you feel about this, but
I for one want my tomatoes to taste like tomatoes.
With no poisons sprayed on it.
If fruits and vegetables are picked green put in a
refrigerated truck and driven a thousand miles across
the country, they just don’t have the Qi that I want to put
into my body.
If we aren’t eating locally, those little farms may disappear
and we would only get those tasteless tomatoes from far,
far away.

I believe that most of us want to eat locally grown organics,
but that’s not easy in most parts of the country.
I’ve been to farmers markets all over the USA and for the
most part, the produce comes from a wholesaler who
trucked it in from who knows where.
Most of it is either sprayed with chemicals or grown with
chemicals that could produce cancer.

What tastes better anyway? Organic or conventional?
(Conventional means- they spray poisons on it and grow
it in poor soil pumped up with chemicals).

I found this little tidbit in Time Magazine
“If scientists could conclusively prove that agricultural
chemicals are harmful, we would all go organic.
But it’s not clear, for instance, that the low levels of pesticide
typically found on conventional produce cause cancer.
The risks of long-term exposure to those residues are still
undetermined.”

I eat organic as much as possible and I suggest that to all
my students and patients as well.
But as you know organic food is a bit pricey for some of us.
That is one reason I grow a garden and pay attention to
what I eat and where I eat.
So if you can’t get organic -get locally grown food.

There are ways to get at least some of the poisons out.
The food bath it can cut down on the chemical residue
from non-organic food.

Food Cleansing Bath

If organic foods are unavailable or simply too expensive,
there are many new fruit and vegetable cleansers on the
market that can be found in health food stores.
Like Grapefruit seed extract, that kills bacteria.

There is another alternative you may be interested in
trying.

Clorox Bleach.
It is a definite option for produce as well as poultry, fish,
meat and eggs.
Clorox baths can get rid of pesticides, parasites,
bacteria and other contaminants that can be removed from
food with a simple soak.
The active ingredient in Clorox, sodium hypochlorite,
breaks down into salt and water.

The Clorox bath has been around for years, decades, military
families stationed overseas in southwest Asia, China and
Turkey have used it through the recommendation of our
state department.

People have reported that foods last up to two weeks longer
in the refrigerator, there is no metallic aftertaste with store
bought fruits and veggies, meats are tenderized and the
natural flavors are enhanced.

Here is how to do the Clorox bath.

Use only the highest quality Clorox.
Formula: Use 1 teaspoon of Clorox to 1 gallon of purified
water.
Place the foods to be treated into the bath for the designated
length of time according to the following chart.
Remove the food from the Clorox bath;
place them in clean water for ten minutes, and rinse.
Dry all foods thoroughly and store.

Leafy vegetables…………………………………..15 minutes

Root, thick-skinned, or fibrous vegg…….…..30 minutes

Thin-skinned fruits, veggies, plums, etc……30 minutes

Thick-skinned fruit, such as citrus, ……….…30 minutes

Poultry, fish, meat and eg…………………..…..20 minutes

What the Heck is a Summer Cold Part2

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Western medicine offers very little that is effective
against the Cold viruses.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a summer cold, winter,
spring or fall, they just don’t know at all.

Most of the drugs only deal with symptoms of a
cold and they can actually suppress the
immune system.

If your immune system is strong, you won’t get sick .
It all has to do with your biological terrain.

When we get a fever most of us take a Tylenol or an
aspirin to lower the fever.
At the first sign of a runny nose we grab an antihistamine
and we take cough suppressants to stop a cough.
All of these symptoms are just the body’s way of
trying to heal itself, to be whole again.

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.

* A fever is the body’s way to burn out the virus and increase
the metabolic rate that increases the movement of the white
blood cells.

* A runny nose coats the virus with mucus and then it can
be easily taken out of the body.

* A cough is a natural reflex of getting mucus out of the
lungs.

Generally Colds are a self-limited illness from which virtually
all people recover in a few days, but keep a watchful eye.
Seven to fourteen days are the maxium a cold usually last,
if you have a any dough it’s always a good idea to see a health
professional if you’re not getting better.

Enhancing your immune system is the key to health,
rather than suppressing symptoms.

?A healthy immune system is the best prevention against colds-
and nutrition is the key to a healthy immune system

• Drink, Drink and drink- plenty of water, herbal tea, and
vegetable juice

• Exercise, get fresh air, go for a walk and breath deep

• Eating lightly allows your body’s energy go toward eliminating
the virus instead of digesting your food.
Lay off sugar- Sugar depresses the immune system.

I wish you the best in your Health, Wealth and Happiness

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

IMG_1151The Holidays are here and so is the holiday eating
and drinking.
We are all doing a lot eating and If you’re not eating
for sure you’re drinking and there is no way to avoid
it,without offending family,co-workers and friends.
My advice, go with the flow,
but use moderation in everything you do.
This will keep you healthy and happy all season.

Let’s talk a little about diet.

So why am I writing you about a diet at this time
of over eating and drinking.
You may be saying Dr. Wu. Can’t it wait until after
the first of the year?

This is a different kind of diet that I am going to
share with you.
One that allows maximum absorption and will give
you what youneed to nourish your entire system.
When it comes to nutritition, there is much more
to what we are eating than what really nourishes us.
This diet works on more than physical and emotional
imbalances it works with your spirit as well.

Here are a few aspects of the diet that will open
up the meridians and chakras as you dig in to your
Holiday feast.

1.  Have gratitude for everything you experience,
be open to welcome grace in your daily activity.

2.  Allow joy to flow into your heart, see the
humor in all you do,Laugh more it will keep
you young.

3. Guard your speech silence will keep you from
wasting your energy. Also keep all yourself talk
positive.
Use the inner smile meditation to keep yourself
happy and radiating bliss.

4. Chew your food at least 36 times before swallow
it down and as you do,instruct it to nourish your
body, mind and spirit.

5. Before you take any food or drink in your body
Bless it. Especially if you’re eating in a restaurant.
You never what the cook has on his mind or your server.
If they are angry the vibe goes into your food.
Yuk!

I’ll be sharing many words of wisdom to keep you
healthy and a lot more about diet all month.

Fire Your Doctor

Friday, December 18th, 2009

DownloadedFileIt was about three weeks ago when I met with a group
of holistic doctors in Orlando Florida. An interesting
group of healers coming from different branches of medicine
MD’s, DO’s, Naturopaths’, Chiropractors, Acupuncture
physicians and I think there were even a few
witch doctors there.

We were discussing the problems that our patients
are going through at this time.
By the end of the day it was unanimous we all want to
stay healthy, avoid age related disease and keep our
patients from getting sick.

PREVENTION IS THE KEY.

If one can keep their body mind and sprit in harmony,
Longevity is the results.
With all the problems we are encountering these days
with our food, water, air, emotional pollution,
and the amount of stress that we are exposed to daily
it takes a team effort to stay healthy.
The patient and doctor need to work hand in hand to
achieve the results to stay in tip top shape,
It doesn’t just happen.

Your doctor should be your health coach,
if he’s not, get a new doctor

Plain and simple You need one that will coach you
through proper exercises, diet, and nutrition,
as well as spiritual development.
We all need to take responsibility for our own health
and learn ways to keep healthy.

In my 35 years of practice and training I have never
seen the health of people in such a critical state and
it will not change until we change.

Re-education and coaching that’s whats necessary.
If you drink soda, smoke, have a diet of junk food
and have “stinking thinking” you will most likely end
up with some unwanted Dis-ease.

Members of the Qi Gong Inner circle know that the
internal exercises, like Qi Gong, Nei Gong and Shen
Gong that I teach will make a big difference in your
total health picture.

Practice, Practice and more practice this is the best medicine
one can ever take. The law of practice is most important.
Follow it and you will succeed.

Training, Practice and proper nutrition will give you more
usable Qi and Energy. Supply you with more oxygen, increased
blood flow, keep your body pain free, stress free, and will make
your bones stronger and the internal organs will function the
way they should.

If you want to stay healthy and look and move as if you were
a young man or woman, you can.
Yes it’s in the reach of all of us.
Let me coach you in the ways of Mastery

Let them Get Fat

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

I took off on a weekend get-a-way to Michigan to see my Mom, the Kids and Grandkids and some friends.

It was intense, but a lot of fun. It’s always been very important for me to stay in touch with family and friends.

And the experience always rejuvenates me.

For some, being away from home can be hectic. We easily use the excuse that because we are on vacation, we’re too busy and exercise and a good diet is no longer a priority.

That’s the last thing we have in mind when vacationing.
Instead we stay up late, sleep in, eat what we wouldn’t dream of eating back home, have a few deserts.

                                                     And why not?
                                             You’re on vacation, right?

But if you think about it, that comfort food that always has that extra special taste, not only has a direct negative hit to our health, but also our waistline.

Some years ago, I talked to one of my friends, who at that time owned and operated one of the top

ten restaurants in the United States. The topic was on nutrition and he said to me,

“In our business, we don’t cook for health, we cook for taste and that’s how we sell food. People in general aren’t looking for health or evening thinking of it.”

Well no wonder, many come back from vacation with all that extra weight!

When I am on Vacation I make sure I train every morning
rain or shine and with the Recharging Qi Gong exercise you can get a kick ass workout in ½ hour. Working muscles, and tendons, stretching and tonifying internal organs all in one workout
www.Rechargingqigong.com

Below are some special tips while traveling to keep you healthy, stay in great shape, and even shed those unwanted pounds:

1.Rise and shine at the same time and train for at least half an hour. This way, you can get your exercise done before your family gets you on their program. And if you need those extra Zzz’s, you can always grab a nap later in the day. Why not?, you’re on vacation!

2. Eat in moderation. Rich foods, sweets and carbs are all OK, however, take only a bite or two. And pass on those creamy deserts. Instead, stick to sorbets and fruits. PASS on the bread, rice, potatoes, cookies and cakes. You’ll be glad you did when the vacation is over. And if your family and friends want to eat like there is not tomorrow, let them.
But stick to your guns.

3.Stay hydrated! Drink more H2O than you usually do at home; minimum three quarts a day if you are not exercising.
If you are going hiking, playing tennis or anything physical, it’s important to drink even more. Also eat hydrating foods for snacks such as fruits or veggies.

4.EXERCISE! Walk, both forward and backwards. Stretch, swim and incorporate different possibilities stay physically active. There are a few simple exercises from the Recharging Qi Gong exercised that I do every day ( The Yin Set) or pick out one of the sets from the Qi Gong Inner Circle DVD’s and work it hard. You’ll reap unbelievable results.

All can easily be incorporated into your vacation to give maxium training in the minium time.

5.Stillness. Doing nothing is an important part of relaxing and recharging your body, mind and spirit. It’s okay if you don’t stop at every roadside attraction. Try swinging from every tree or saying hello to every friend and family member. Relax! You’ll find yourself more peaceful, happier and a lot healthier than the rest of your traveling partners when you get home.

6.Get touched. Treat yourself to a massage, facial, scalp massage or foot reflexology. And if you are with a partner, give each other a massage. This will really enhance your travel. (When I travel to China to study, I always get an hour foot massage as soon as I get there and another one before leaving. This keeps me healthy, relaxed and puts a smile on my face.)

7.Program your mind on how you want to look. This may sound a little strange, but it really works. I program my food by telling it where I want it to go and what I want it to do.
For example, I say to myself as I am about to eat, “I want this meal to strengthen my muscles and give me more energy” or “By eating this food, I will loose weight.”

When you follow these seven easy tips during your vacation, it will  become a real vacation. You will return home in better shape, with less of a belly, well rested, more energy and ready to go full force. We all know what it’s like to return from a vacation and then need another soon after.

But because I always incorporate these seven tips, I come back with more energy than before I left. My weekend get-a-way to see my family was just what I needed and I’m feeling great, back to work and seeing patients.

I wish you the Best in Health, Wealth and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

P.S. If you don’t have the Recharging Qi Gong Program as yet, www.rechargingqigong.com, now is the time to get it. These health and longevity tips that I share with you are just the very tip of the iceberg. But once you start to practice these Qi Gong exercises and join the Qi Gong Inner Circle, you’ll change your health, vitality and longevity.

The Nectar of the God’s

The Nectar of the God’s

Jackie got the body that every girl wants and when she walks by, everyone takes a look and I am no exception. She is HOT!

It’s no accident she really works hard to keep everybody looking.

She is about 39 years old; at least that’s what she will admit too.

Jackie has been an athlete all of her life, as a child she danced 5 days a week

and did Martial Arts until she was fourteen.

Three years ago she was running four miles a day and ten on the weekends; she went to the gym three days a week for weight training and did yoga or Pilates at least 2 evenings a week.

It was Two years ago, when she started having some problems with her balance and as well as migraines. She said that she seemed to be OK in the morning but as the day went on her balance got worse and by the evening she had a headache, spasms, shooting pains, numbness in your legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness , joint pain, depression, anxiety attacks, and  memory loss.

Her doctors thought it may be early sign of multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia or maybe systemic lupus.

They ran a battery of test on her and came up with nothing.

Jackie’s life seemed to be going down the tubes with no cure in sight.

When she came into see me she reported that her energy seemed to be OK in the morning until afternoon, when it dropped, her sleep was horrible, hard to fall asleep and woke up often. She said that she ate a balanced diet and her digestion worked well.

Then she told me this. The only thing that I do that may not be exactly healthy is to drink an Ambrosia it’s what I call, The Nectar of the Gods.

I asked her, what is this so called Nectar of the God’s that you drink?   She said. Diet Pepsi and I drink 4 to 6 of them a day.

Hello Jackie, what were you thinking?

Diet Pepsi is filled with aspartame and you have aspartame poisoning.

The first thing we did was to get Dear Jackie off the Pepsi Cola and into a detox program.

There are three different aspects to doing a good detox program

1.    Detox of Kidney

2. Detox of the Liver

3.    Detox of the Large intestine and Lymph system

Jackie was put on all three and within 30 days the symptoms were totally gone.

To find out more about this program write me at drwudhi@energymedicine.com.

5 things to do before you stick anything in your mouth

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Every Sunday morning you will find me at Josh’s Organic Garden,
shopping for some the fresh produce that was picked the
night before.

Thumbnail image for 2007_0201HOME0026.JPG

They even have signs that read “Florida Fresh! Picked Last
Night!

How cool is that.

Florida isn’t known for its organic food but here it really is
the best and for more than just being fresh.

Let me tell you why.

I am very much a believer in vibrations that’s why I practice
Medical Qi Gong and energetic medicine.

If you are buying something and especially if that something is
food that you are about to eat or feed to your family, you
don’t want any bad vibes or low energy from the store or
restaurant.

Foods with low energy will do nothing but fill your belly, make
you fat and toxic regardless of whether or not that food is on
your diet. Believe it or don’t.

Continue to eat those foods and there’s a good chance you can
even become sick. That’s right sick.

The food will eat your energy not give you energy and that is
defiantly SICK! If you look at food as fuel and you’re putting
bad fuel in your car or machine of any kind you’re going to get
poor performance. Not only that, it’s going to ware out sooner
than you expect.

That’s why we change our oil; use a better grade of gas etc.
Well the same is true with food. If you are eating poor quality
food or the vibration of the food is low your going to have a
bumpy ride.

Now how can one tell if the food has a good vibe or not?

There are a few simple guide lines to follow when it comes to
food and energy:

1. Is the person in the store or restaurant helpful and
friendly? This is the very first indication that the energy of
a place is good, simple but true.

2. Do you see smiles on the faces of the people in the store or

restaurant? A smile can change a low energy vibration to a high
energy vibration instantly. Example: Consider how powerful the
smile meditation that I teach in the Qi Gong Inner Circle is to
change your vibration.

3. Take a good look at the other customers shopping around you.
Do they seem happy or are they up tight over rushed or even
down right nasty. They are not only an indication of the energy
of the place, they are contributing to it.

4. Look at the quality of the food. How is displayed? Do the
people that are serving you feel pride in what they are serving
you or is it just a job. You don’t want zombie energy around
you they are energy suckers. I have a nephew who believes that
the energy in restaurants is so important that sometimes,
depending on the energy of the server, he will ask them to
bring him anything that they want to serve or would eat
themselves. If the person is full of good energy this will
instantly put that good energy into the food.

5. Do your deep breathing quiescent meditation every day to
sharpen your internal skills you will become a magnet for good
energy. Not only that you will learn how to pull more energy
out of the food.

Remember as you Feel the good energy you become that energy.

Every month the inner teaching of our group studies and trains
in these techniques to be powerful, energetic beings, if you’re
not on board get on while you still can.

I have all ready started to put together a very special diet
and weight loss program based on Chinese and Qi Gong Medicine
that I will be giving only to members of the Qi Gong Inner
Circle.
