Hamster Wheel Kills Man in Miami

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Not many. This morning I went for an early morning walk where I live in Miami Beach and there were plenty of people out doing the same. I looked to see how many were relaxed and smiling.

Not Good.

In fact, most looked liked they just dragged their body out of bed like a bad dog and were beating it to walk.

Some looked so serious they looked like they were taking some nasty medicine.

I actually stopped one person and asked if they were ok. It occurred to me that there is a very common misconception that goes like this. Activity equals Vitality. Not true. Some activity done over and over will break down your body and kill you eventually especially if you’re doing it wrong or forcing your body through the motions.

Ever hear of somebody being worked to death?

Make sure it’s not you.

It’s not to say that every American on average couldn’t handle a little more activity. It’s just that you won’t begin to realize a whole cascade of benefits that will actually make you feel and act younger until you connect the mind and breathing to the activity.

This means Listening to your body and Feeling your body.

To cultivate real energy you have to integrate the body, mind, and breathing and smile while you do it. This in a nutshell is the great Chinese exercise secret. You’re not a hamster. Simply sticking you on a treadmill is not going to make you magically ten years younger, heal your body, or put the graphite back in your pencil.

Consider this…

Here in Miami there are plenty of people that are getting up there in years, by this I mean OLD, and have been told to get out there and walk every day by their doctor. Some people actually get worse from this because, unlike a hamster, a human can use the body to injure the body.

Even when body is sending messages to “Stop, don’t hurt me.” Their knees, hips, back, and shoulders all begin to develop mysterious aches and pains. Why? Because they’re totally disconnected from their body and refuse to listen to their body. They walk down the street and every step they take looks like a big bag a bricks just got dropped on the pavement.

Crash, crash, crash, crash…

That’s what the butt, back, hips and knees are doing. It actually looks like the bones are crashing and grinding together. You know who I’m talking about. It’s a disaster watching some of these people walk and they do it to their bodies mile after mile.

Ever see these guys out jogging and you can’t possibly imagine how they can keep going with such bad form and posture? Now think for a second, and imagine how a Qi Gong Master moves and walks. (I’ll help you with this one just incase you’ve never been to China)

Imaging flowing with precision and grace through a series of exercises that move the body according to what it was designed to do. Moving both fast and slow, both softly and with amazing explosive power, the Qi Gong Master is one with his body and connected to every cell of his body. When the Master of Qi Gong walks it looks like the wind is carrying him along, no effort.

There is a HUGE difference in movement and there is a HUGE difference in the quality of life too.

The student of Qi Gong is a person of VITALITY.

The person that is grinding their bones on those daily prescription walks from the doctor is miserable. The person that has a connection to their body is Happy, even happier than they should be if you consider their stress load but this is what it means to use your body correctly.

The Qi Gong I teach and prescribe to my patients is way more than medicine, it’s about living in a powerful way connected to the earth and your body. Just like a fish that has never seen the sky it might be difficult for some to grasp this but for those that do I am willing to teach you everything I know. The best way to start is to jump in head first.

Start with the Recharging Qi Gong -> http://rechargingqigong.com This program clears the entire body of those clunky bone crashing movements. By practicing the Recharging Qi Gong all of your activity changes, you will find that you walk and move more freely and that those mystery pains are forgotten. Suddenly you will find that you can do more and have more energy.

That’s VITALITY! Wishing you the best in health, wealth and happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

Are you Ripe and Juicy

Saturday, June 21st, 2008
Are you Ripe and Juicy OR Rumpled like an old Raisin

Today I spent most of the day here in Miami in intensive
Medical Qi Gong Practice instead of outside enjoying this extra
long day.
In case you missed it Today is the Summer Solstice.
The longest dayof the year.

In the Chinese Healing traditions today is a very special day
and when the Fire element is most prominent.

With the Fire element comes all the activity and growth of
Summer but it also can bring hazard in the form of overheating.
When the body overheats the internal organs become stressed and
the aging process speeds up.

The heat of summer can build up in the Heart and this can
disrupt the sleep with unfocused thoughts and mind chatter.
Getting a good nights sleep in Summer is especially important
during these shorter nights. We often stay up later in summer
to enjoy the long nights but forget we need sleep too.
It’s a shame too because Summer is when we are actually able to
regain some of our vital energy and get younger, riper, and
more juicy. Instead most Americans do all the wrong things and
age even faster in the summer.

There’s three things you can do to make sure you do get younger
this season instead of overheat, burn out, and dry up like a
raisin.
NUMBER 1 - Eat cooling foods. When I say cooling foods I’m not
talking about ice cream or cold beer, I’m talking about those
foods that are identified by the science of Chinese Medicine to
cool down your insides.
I list these in my free newsletter going out next week in the
mail.
Yes the post office

So if you want it send me your mailing address, not your email
address, and I will mail you this Summer’s edition of Dr. Wu’s
News. It’s the best edition I’ve put out so far and has a ton
of awesome info in it including how to prepare some of the most
delicious cooling foods.

NUMBER 2 - Exercise correctly for summer. Summer is not the
season to be out beating your feet on the hot pavement. You
don’t need to do that in Summer. Summer is the time to pump up
the connection between the inner and out energy.
Build speed and explosive power in the Summer.

Qi Gong is the best way to do this but not just any Qi Gong.
You need to move the internal winds in the summer and keep the
body cool. The Recharging Qi Gong is by far the best system of
Qi Gong because it’s for all seasons. If you have the
Recharging Qi Gong pay special attention to the Yin set in the
back of the manual and practice the posture for the heart for
five minutes a day.
If you don’t have the Recharging Qi Gong, now you know a little
more about why this composition of my life’s work is so
important and unlike any other Qi Gong.
Maybe you missed it so here it is again
http://rechargingqigong.com

When you finally get this manual in your hands you will
recognize immediately that I held nothing back. Just flipping
through it the exercises will jump out at you and you won’t be
able to resist trying them. They Work and you will feel more
power immediately.

The ONLY place you can get it is here ->
http://rechargingqigong.com
not amazon or some other place and you NEVER will. These
teachings are dear to me and I give them out only as I see fit.

NUMBER 3 - Cool down the Spirit. Some meditation is designed to
heat up the channels and chakras and that can have a beneficial
effect but you need to be able to flush out the energy too or
it will drive you crazy and disrupt your sleep.
The key is to discharge all of the negative energy.

The Tension Release exercise is really the key. Do this every
night to clear the body before sleep and you will wake up
refreshed, vitalized and best of all Happy. This exercise has a
side effect of happy dreams, sounds funny I know but it’s true.
The Tension Release Exercise is only available as a bonus gift
that I give with the Recharging Qi Gong.
Those of you in the Qi Gong Inner Circle have a video of this.

So to recap:
1- Eat cooling foods
2- Exercise for summer
3- Cool the spirit

The maximum benefit of summer will really be in how well your
Qi Gong practice is. You get that down and everything else will
catch up.
Happy Solstice!

Did you catch it?

iPhone was popping with responses to the Father’s Day Qi Gong
wish. Thank you all.

The email also raised a few questions from subscribers:
Q. Dr. Wu, in the PS you mentioned to send you my mailing

A. TJ, no but there is an opportunity to use that list if
you want. I do have an affiliate program and I would be happy

The following appeared in the Spring 2008 Editon of
DR. WU’S NEWS
————–
LIVER YIN and YANG

The liver is the largest internal organ and serves as
the body’s filter and major detoxifier. It regulates bile
secretion, stores blood, secretes important proteins and
nutrients. It also controls the muscles, tendons, ligaments,
and is connected with the nails and eyes. It is considered the
source of the body’s physical strength. So just imagine what
will happen to your body if the liver is not properly taken
care of. The body will become toxic and eventually result to
diseases.
PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS OF LIVER DISORDERS:
-Low appetite
-Digestive Disorders
-Dull pain in the right side
-Hepatitis
-High Cholesterol
-Hormonal Imbalances/PMS
-Vision Problems
-Skin Disorders
-Liver Spots
-Dark color under eyes
-Headache
-Lack of flexibility and stiffness

The liver’s associated organ is the Gall Bladder; it’s
element is Wood. In the famous ancient Chinese book, it states
that Wood out of all the five elements is the general of the
armed forces, with lots of virtues and talents. It’s in charge
of strategy, creativity, planning and setting it in motion.
It’s also responsible for instantaneous solutions or sudden
insights. The positive (yin) emotions are kindness,
benevolence, compassion, and generosity. The negative (yang)
emotions are fright and anger. The liver is also considered
the “root of resistance to fatigue.” If it’s not functioning
properly, a person can experience fatigue as well as physical
weakness.
The Yin Set Liver Exercise in the Recharging Qi Gong
program strengthens the entire liver organ and channels. This
exercise is available at http:\\www.rechargingqigong.com

My Father’s Qi Gong

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

This morning as I was relaxing in my kitchen working on the
latest edition of

‘Dr. Wu’s News’ (the Summer edition ships
next week, see bottom for details) and I got a few calls from
the kids and a few close friends wishing me a Happy Father’s
Day.

But the best Father’s day wish today for me was one I made
silently…

Although my Dad is not with me in physical form he is with me.
My father the youngest of 10 kids came up the hard way in the
streets of Detroit.

He created a very successful family business and taught my
brother and me his most treasured secret.

Even when times seemed difficult or work was hard or boring
he’d always say “Come on we will make this Fun!”

No matter what we were doing. To him life was enjoyment and if
you weren’t enjoying life you needed to change, to “make it
Fun”.

This might not sound like Qi Gong but it is.
It is the foundation of energy cultivation and healing.

You can magnify the benefits of ANY practice or exercise you do
by simply making it fun.

If it ain’t fun it will take longer for you to learn and gain
the benefits from.

It’s the whole purpose of starting with a Smile or the Smile
Meditation that I teach.
Put your mind and emotions in an optimal state with breathing
and visualization. Now to that add movement and you have the
foundation of Qi Gong.

In fact I’d go as far as to say if you’re not having fun while
doing Qi Gong or practicing meditation you’re not doing it
correctly and you’re wasting your time.

I infuse joy and excitement in to my teachings and there by
make life more fun no matter what. It’s in my nature. It’s what
my Father trained into me.

If you’ve ever seen me teach, been treated by me, or seen any
of my products you know what I mean.
See more here – Http://drwudhi.com
So what ever you’re doing today add a little smile and some Qi
Gong and MAKE IT FUN! Happy Fathers Day.
