Every Night is Halloween at Dr. Wu

The streets are lined with pumpkins and a soft orange glow is spilling out into the street. Small children are disguised as everything from ghoulish monsters to ridiculous cartoon characters.

I love Halloween, it’s a great American tradition.

But what’s great about Halloween is how we use it to spoof our fears. We indulge ourselves just a little bit and it takes the sting out of it.

Fear and the Fear of Pain are some of the strongest forces in most peoples lives.

Take for example my guard cats.

I have two large black cats that I have befriended. They love the treats I give them out in my garden and they love to hang out while I practice Qi Gong.

Cats love the energy.

I don’t let these cats into the house, their not MY cats but they are my protectors.

Here in Miami there are a lot of superstitious folks.

I have never had any problems, break-ins, trespassers, or solicitors, not a single salesperson has crossed the place where the BIG BLACKS SIT.

IMG_0074.jpg

There are many Superstitions and Myths about the Black Cats.

In the middle Ages the black cats were believed to be supernatural servants of witches, or even witches themselves.

Black Cats have been associated with deities, witches and magic since the time of the ancient Egyptians and have been thought of as having mystical powers.

Black cats became a Halloween symbol as it was believed spirits could return in the body of an animal and black cats were certainly the one of the most ominous.

To me they’re loveable creatures. I get a kick out of the idea that others are afraid of them.

There’s another opinion of black cats I just found.

An old saying about black cats is that ‘Whenever the cat of the house is black, the lasses of lovers shall have no lack’.

I like that one.

Use this Halloween to consider what fears you have that may be holding you back and make a commitment to release those fears and breakthrough to what you really want.

Consider your fears of Sickness, Old Age, or Dying and let them all go.

Remember that you can turn back the clock.

Start today by freeing up the tensions in your body with some movement and breathing.

Visualize what you want coming to you as you do your exercises.

These are the important principles I believe in and practice.

Those of you who already have the recharging Qi Gong know how this works and the importance of the Kidney and Lung exercises when dealing with fear and sadness.

If you haven’t gotten the Recharging Qi Gong yet nows the time. We just upgraded the package and the new production really looks great. You can get it here http://rechargingqigong.com

This is Fun?

When I was a small boy growing up in Detroit my father would come home every day and entertain my brother and me before doing anything else.

We would beg him to stand on his head and my father would always do as we asked.

He loved to stand on his head like a yogi right in the middle of the living room.

Every time he did this coins would fall from his pockets.

My brother and I would scurry around and grab as much loose change as we could while my father pretended to protest from his inverted position.

In truth it was as much fun for him as it was for us.

My father was the youngest of a family of eight and being the baby of that family was always cared for by his siblings even into adulthood.

Life for him was about play and having fun.

My father successfully passed this view of life on to me and my brother.

Even when we would go with him to work at the pawn shop downtown we had fun, maybe even the most fun of all.

The word work and the drudgery that goes along with it never made any sense to me or my brother because of this.

People hate to work but they use this word for stuff that isn’t even work. And did you ever notice  that everywhere it does get used people are really serious.

Serious people in the gym are Working Out.
For serious training you go to a Workshop.
When your serious about beauty you call it a Work of art.
If your serious about your Work they say you have Work ethic.
Some even practice Spiritual Work.

I’ve done my best to work and be serious over the years, I really have, but most of the time I can’t help but consider how much fun I’m having.

If I’m not having fun or moving to a higher level of “fun” in the sense of being able to share with others, help others or overcome some adversity, I ain’t interested.

What I’ve learned is that you can’t other peoples work away from them but you can often make it fun.

Sometimes it’s just a matter of reminding ourselves that we’re having fun.

Try it.

The are many situations that are supposed to be fun that we often add tension to and they instantly become serious situations or work.

At these times simply say aloud “This is fun”.

You’ll either break the tension in the room or you’ll actually change the orientation of yourself and others from one of seriousness to one of fun.

If you saw me doing Recharging Qi Gong with my students on the beach I doubt you’d say that looks like a lot of work. It’s actually a lot of fun and it looks like fun too.

Big smiles on everyones face and some occasional laughter is normal.

This is not your usual “Workout” and so far it’s been producing unusual results in those that have gotten the program http://rechargingqigong.com and started to use it.

If you want more vitality and pep in your step I encourage you to make a change.

Go to http://rechargingqigong.com and find out how you can use these simple and gentle movements every day to pump up you Qi power and invigorate your innards.

Wishing you Health, Wealth and Happiness,

No Problem

The other day I was in the kitchen around dinner time and I noticed that I had a whole fleet of those little fruit flies everywhere.

Fruit flies and sugar ants are common intruders down here in Florida but rare in my own home. And no, it’s not because I bomb my house with toxic chemicals and pesticides.

On the rare occasion that I do get a visit from these tiny visitors I use the principles of Qi Gong to remove them.

This is way more effective than bringing poison into the house to do away with the little buggers.

Don’t laugh, it’s true.

When you understand Qi Gong you understand a different way to go about life.

Flow and energy become the central focus and context.

“Problems” are simply recognized as being out of flow.

Let me explain.

I originally was gifted 2 small trees about 4 years ago for my birthday and now I am the proud owner and keeper of over 50 trees.

In south Florida they grow like weeds and although I am not a big banana eater, I gift many of my friends bunches of bananas all year long.

The fruit fly, A.K.A. Vinegar or Pomace Flies, often sneak into my house via my banana harvest, or merely flew in through a screen, little buggers.

Just about a week ago I had a bunch of bananas come ripe on one of the many organic banana trees.

Once the fruit fly is established they are annoying, as well as a vector for disease in some cases, and a pain to get rid of.

My friend John was over and suggested that I spray them and kill them all in one swoop.

This is the “problem solving” method.

The western medical establishment is all about solving problems. If a patient has cancer, you give the patient Chemo and radiation and kill the cancer and you are done with it.

The failing of this approach is that it doesn’t identify and remove the root cause of the “problem”. The “problem” never goes away; you just kill the immediate offender with toxins.

The door is still open for the “problem” to resurface and the toxins left behind might turn into an even worse threat.

Qi Gong doesn’t solve any “problems”.

Qi Gong brings energy, flow, and harmony.

Back to my kitchen, I used Qi Gong on my bugs.

I decided to freeze the bananas and use them for later for my power drinks. I threw the peels into the compost pile and removed the root cause of the little flying pests. No need to poison my food, kitchen and myself.

Just as when I am dealing with a patient who is being attacked by cancer, my practice is not to bomb the patient with drugs and radiation. It is much better to identify the root cause, remove it, and fortify the natural healing process of the body.

Sometimes the root cause is an energetic disturbance.
Sometimes the root cause is a chemical imbalance.
Sometimes the root cause is a physical problem.

In Medical Qi Gong the “cure” is delivered on all three levels by returning flow to the entire body.

But even better than “cure” is prevention, the best prevention there is a daily routine that harmonizes the breath, body, and mind.
The program I created for all my patients, The Recharging Qi Gong, is both prevention and cure.

Qi Toons

About a year ago I was attending a seminar on internet marketing in Tampa Florida where I met a very large but soft spoken man with incredible talent who became my good friend and patient.

In addition he taught me something about Qi.

When I first met Vincent Palko and shook his big meaty hand my first impression was “My goodness, what football team does this guy play for?”

As it turns Vincent has played football professionally and from what I understand he was quite good at it when he did but you wouldn’t need to be a psychic to guess that.

He’s one of my biggest patients and I’ve worked on wrestlers and martial artists for years.

When I got him on the table to give him a spinal adjustment I started laughing and I think I was actually sore after working on him.

What you wouldn’t guess, judging by his outward appearance, is that he is an amazing artist. When I say that I mean that he infuses his own energy into his artwork and you can feel that when you look at his art.

The idea of an artist being able to infuse his energy into a painting or calligraphy is commonly understood in China and Japan where artists of this caliber are considered national treasures.

Qi Gong teaches us that:

When a human is able to express himself in a perfect circle and a perfect straight line unassisted by any mechanical device that all the lines of force and expression are at his command and a vehicle for transmission of Qi energy.

This is true in all disciplines martial or otherwise.

When it comes to the pen Vincent is one such individual.

While Vincent has done several forms of art, he is most widely known for his cartoons.

Surprisingly you can FEEL his energy coming from these cartoons. I wouldn’t have believed it until I had seen and felt it myself.

But Vincent is different, just like a Zen Calligrapher, he actually meditates on his client and that clients product before he begins to draw.

I am happy to say that I am now a proud owner of one of his works of art.

opt-in-m.jpg

Vincent has done cartoons for scores of internet marketers and professionals, if you are looking to spice up and empower your own website with Qi there’s no better way to do it than with one of Vincents Adtoons and you can only get them at http://adtoons.com

The thing that I learned from Vincent and that you should consider as well is that all forms of expression can be infused with Qi.

Everything carries a vibration.

Wishing you the best in Health, Wealth and Happiness,

The Tibetan Connection

Friday, October 12th, 2007
Share

Back in the 70’s I was living around San Francisco and
through auspicious coincidence started studying various
types of Tibetan yoga.

I had no idea at the time that this training would
change me forever.

The Tibetan masters, and their equally great western students,
I met then not only changed my Life personally, it changed me
as a Healer, and it changed the World I live in.

Maybe too much to get into in one email but let me just say
that anyone who truly knows the Great Internal Yogas of Tibet
or Tummo (pronounced “do mo”) will turn to Exercise 1 in the
manual and immediately recognize what a gift I’ve included in
this program.

Warming the Channels, as I renamed the exercise, almost didn’t
make it into the manual because in addition to it being truly
Tibetan in nature it is regarded to many as secret. I had to
first convince my nephew and editor of the Recharging Qi Gong
that it was essential.

“This is the way that I train and it’s what I’m teaching, I’m
not going to censor myself on this one” I told him.

When I created the Recharging Qi Gong I wanted to create a book
on moving meditation and Qi activation that nobody had ever
seen before and so I did.

When you properly do Exercise 1 of the Recharging Qi Gong you
do several things:

  • You straighten out the physical channels in the legs, torso,
and arms for the Qi to follow.
  • You churn up the essential Qi from the core of your being.
  • You blow off any static energy or patterns from the body.
  • You generate heat in the body.

The heat from this process is then reintegrated into the joints
and tendons of the body.

This is what makes the Recharging Qi Gong different.

You first stoke the fires and then you pump that healing energy
throughout all the parts of the body.

This exercise should never be skipped or practiced half-way.

If you skip this exercise in the Recharging Qi Gong you gut the
entire system and will cut the benefits in half.

Even if you practice this one exercise on it’s own you may gain
more benefit from it than any other of the exercises combined.

A few key points for those who already have the program:

  1. Keep the shoulders down with the arms extended. Move around
inside this position until you click into it, you’ll know when
it feels both relaxed and powerful.
  2. Don’t bend the elbows until the very last position in the set.
  3. Really turn the body side to side to generate the heat in the
hands, this exercise is more difficult than it initially looks.
Turn and churn from the core, you may sweat a little when you
    get it right.

Remember this exercise is especially important for those of us
that are healers by practice. Make an effort to master this one
exercise and you will discover exactly what I mean by this.

Wishing you Health, Wealth and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

PS: Later by coincidence, three months after the release of the
book, I was invited to attend a private function at one of my
patient’s home in Miami Beach. This woman was hosting a very
powerful Lama and Advisor to the Dali Lama himself. He turned
through every page of the book and gave it his direct blessing.

PPS: Here’s the link for the Recharging Qi Gong
http://rechargingqigong.com don’t miss out, I’m going to be
giving more and more by email and teleseminar and you’re really
going need the manual to get the most out of it.

Smile at Death

Thursday, October 11th, 2007
Share

Earlier today I was visiting with a good friend who is an M.D. and we were exchanging stories of how the energy of emotion can harm or heal.

When he told me this story I ran home as fast as I could to write it down to and share with you because it directly relates to the Qi Gong I teach and the Medical Qi Gong that I practice.

I’m sure you will enjoy it and maybe even learn something too.

My friend told me had a patient that was 94 years old who came to see him. As it turned out she tested positive for a nasty form of cancer that I’d rather not describe here.

Being that she was 94 at the time she didn’t panic, she had already lived an incredibly rich life and had much to be grateful for.

She calmly asked the Doctor, my friend, what to do.

Being trained as an M.D., he suggested the standard protocol which includes chemotherapy and radiation.

She didn’t want to have chemo and I can’t say I blame her. It’s not likely at her age that it would have done her much good anyway.

She new her days were numbered.

But here’s where it get’s interesting.

What she decided to do instead of getting chemo was to get all her teeth capped, you know, like all the movie stars do.

At first, the doctor thought that was the strangest thing he ever heard.

Later when asked why she responded “I am 94 years old and I know I’ll probably die soon but I want to die with a beautiful smile.”

This, I would point out, is evidence of a highly developed if not “enlightened” person.

The instant she was facing certain death she chose how she wanted to live the rest of her life – smiling.

Smiling back to the world and smiling back to death.

And to that end she wanted the get the biggest and brightest smile she possibly could.

So she went to the cosmetic dentist and she spent 10 thousand dollars to get her teeth fixed and walked out with a perfect smile.

Both her daughter and son were thinking that their mother of 94 years old had flipped out and considered the 10 thousand dollars spent at the dentist a loss to their inheritance.

Well, as it turned out, that the old lady really looked good with her new set of pearly whites.

She had a great smile and wasn’t shy about sharing it.

The more she showed off her new smile the better she felt.

She felt so good about herself that the next time she came to the office about 3 months later, the doctor re-ran all her tests and she was completely cancer free.

When you are feeling good about yourself, and you feel that you look good, you have such a strong vibration that you throw diseases out of your body.

In Medical Qi Gong the smile meditation is always given to cancer patients. It’s also one of the things I give you as a gift with the Recharging Qi Gong. http://rechargingqigong.com

3 years later that same woman is now 97 years old and she’s still showing that smile to every one she meets.

I guess the kids will have to wait a little longer for that inheritance.

Wishing you Health, Wealth and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

PS: I’m packing it up for the beach right now for our Qi Gong on the Beach. See you there. If you’re in the Miami area and don’t know, Thursdays at 6:00 I teach a fee Qi Gong class – email me at drwudhi@energymedicineflorida.com for directions.

When Ordinary is Extraordinary

Today I got a break from the rain and worked in my garden. I love to work in my garden. I think it’s one of the things that keeps me feeling great every day.

The secret is not so much what’s growing in my garden as much as it is how I work my garden that gives me vitality and power.

The way I work my garden is the way I live my life, according to the principles of Qi Gong.

Qi Gong can be applied anywhere and everywhere and once you are a master of Qi Gong your everyday life is inseparable from the actual practice of Qi Gong.

Let me see if I can illustrate this by telling you about my Garden Qi Gong.

Now my garden is not like any other garden you will ever see anywhere in Miami or the rest of the United States for that matter.

My garden is small and practical, more like a household garden you would find in China.

Outside my kitchen door and down a few steps is my garden right there close to me.

The climate in Miami will let you grow anything but what I grow I eat and it doesn’t have to travel far to the kitchen.

I have a few wonderful tomato plants that gift me a bright red fruit every other day.

I have the darkest leafy greens you will ever see and Zucchini that will grow longer than my forearm if I let them.

I have a row of some of the spiciest chilies you will every find on the planet and wide variety of fresh herbs that are used for both flavor and healing.

Above all this grows a passion fruit vine twisting far up into a tree. I have to wait for those to fall but fall they do and what a treat they are when they do.

Past my garden is a large mango tree that gives small but delicious mangos almost year round it seems.

Behind my house, where I workout, there are about twenty banana trees that came up like weeds after I planted the first one.

All of it, with the exception of the mango tree, wouldn’t have come to be without me putting my Qi into it.

And the Qi that is returned to me from the earth is powerful medicine for both me and the friends I share this food with.

Consider this on an energetic level.

In the opening exercise of the Recharging Qi Gong (http://rechargingqigong.com) you really want to pull the energy up from the earth and down from the heavens.

  • When I visualize pulling energy up from the earth I see all the treasures of vitality and abundance coming to me like the valuable minerals and vitamins stored in my greens and vegetables that will keep my bones strong and my blood rich with oxygen.
  • When I pull down the energy of the heavens I see all the gifts of grace and wonder coming to me like those rare fruits that fall from the highest branches on breezy days.Likewise, when I am working in my garden I make consideration of my practice as a healer.

  • When I weed the garden I visualize pulling out the toxins and stale energy out of my patients and students.
  • When I compost waste into my garden I see all my unwanted tensions being ground up and returned to me as nourishment to make all my dreams and aspirations a reality.
  • When I plant something new in my garden I am also planting something in me. The desire to grow and become much more than what I already am.This is what it is to make the ordinary extraordinary.I have learned long ago that by dedicating your actions you bring power to them.

The same is true in Qi Gong.

When ever you practice the Recharging Qi Gong find a way to dedicate it and the benefits will double.

Find a way to make everyday activities Qi Gong and the benefits are endless.Wishing you Health, Wealth and Happiness,

    Dr. Wu Dhi

PS: If you liked hearing about food, stay tuned, my nephew asked me to put all my best recipes in a book. I haven’t agreed to do it yet but if I do you’ll want to get this one. I cook with Qi!

PPS: The Recharging Qi Gong is now being practiced by my students on five different continents if you’re the first one to contact me from Antarctica or the African continent I’ll send you one with my complements. For everybody else go to http://rechargingqigong.com and get yours today.

3 powerful ways to walk

Thursday, October 4th, 2007
Share

There is an old Chinese saying that loosely translated means “Walk a hundred steps after each meal and live a hundred years.”

It sounds a little better and has a sort of rhyme to it when said in Chinese but it’s a powerful secret in any language.

Last night I was taking just this sort of walk after a fantastic home cooked meal.

The nights are starting to get cooler here in Florida and if you can get in a quick walk after a light rain there are almost no bugs.

It’s beautiful.

I know most think that the best thing to do after a big meal is just sit there and hope that everything will just sort itself out but walking a little bit, not too much, is fantastic for your digestion.

If you haven’t tried it I suggest you do.

It’s way better than just rolling over to the couch and turning into a zombie in
front of the TV.

If you already know how 100 steps after a meal improve your digestion I suggest you make a habit out of it. You might notice that you’ll start storing a little less fat in the tummy too.

This is one of the great secrets to loosing weight effortlessly with Qi Gong.

While I was walking I started to think about what else I knew about walking that is super powerful and something I could easily share in an email.

There are many many many ways to use simple walking to improve your physical condition, speed up the healing process, and build vital Qi energy.

One is getting your breathing and walking in sync.

Just watching your breathing and counting the breaths can be a powerful way to focus the mind, calm the body, relax, and release tension.

But when you combine that breathing with walking you have a very powerful Moving Meditation.

Just giving the mind and body these simple tasks to perform you may feel incredibly relaxed, refreshed, and energized.

This is what I mean when I say “Get out of the way” of the Qi Gong.

When you’re no longer caught up with yourself your body and mind working together will bring about a great harmony in you.

Just like when you get a great night of deep sleep and feel powerful in the morning.

Another way of getting the most out of walking is to learn to walk backward.

This may sound silly but take my word for it, you can’t beat backward training but then again you need to learn it from somebody that really knows to get any benefit from this kind of training.

The man I learned backward training from is a real pro, Matthew Furey.

On a recent trip to China he recorded several DVDs on this type of training and he sells them on his website http://mattfurey.com/dao_zou.html you can read more about it there.

And I even have a testimonial on his website.

Obviously I highly recommend it.

So to recap:

1- walk 100 steps after every meal
2- walk and breath together
3- learn to walk backwards

There are many many many other ways that you can apply the principles of Qi Gong to walking but these three, alone by themselves, will produce and incredible change in you for the better.

Wishing you Health, Wealth, and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi
