The Cancer Scare
Last week, Martha came to my clinic on the request
of her daughter. Her daughter called me and asked
if I’d see her mother. It seems Mom’s blood work
didn’t look very good, and she was quite
concerned. When Martha came in, she looked good
and was quite cheerful. She said that she felt
fine; her energy was good, she was sleeping eight
hours a day undisturbed, and her appetite was good
as well as her digestion. I asked her about her
moods, and Martha again reported that she was a
very positive and happy person. All seemed good
until I asked her how her stress level was, and
that’s when she asked me to look at her blood
work.
Her doctor had diagnosed her with the early stages
of leukemia and gave her the “chemo scare” and
insisted that she starts treatment immediately.
Leukemia is a type of cancer found in your blood
and bone marrow and is caused by the rapid
production of abnormal white blood cells. These
abnormal white blood cells are not able to fight
infection and impair the ability of the bone
marrow to produce red blood cells and platelets.
Doctors are legally required to offer chemo as the
“standard of care” and, if the patient declines,
it is documented as a CYA (Cover Your ASS) for the
Doc. This is the crux of the health care problem.
Insurance companies cover only the conventional
therapies because everyone has been brainwashed
into believing in the fraud that, if you don’t
start their standard treatment, you will die.
There are no longitudinal studies done to track
people who decline conventional treatment. So,
when the medical profession presents “statistics”
that are provided by the pharmaceutical companies
to attempt to scare you into treatment which is
beneficial only to their “bottom line,” know that
these statistics are skewed and therefore quite
meaningless.
In Chinese medicine, leukemia is considered an
excess of heat toxins penetrating the blood. As
heat and toxins linger, they burn and consume
fluids, injuring the yin, resulting in night
sweats, thirst and dry throat. Since blood and yin
are closely related, the blood gets damaged, and
there are many symptoms that affect the kidneys,
heart and spleen. Medical Qi Gong addresses these
organs and purges them of heat and toxins.
Although Martha is getting other standard
treatments, she is getting acupuncture and Medical
Qi Gong and changing her lifestyle to support the
immune system. As far as the chemo is concerned,
she has passed on it all together.
